I Use Illusions To Control The Whole World Chapter 6
The transcendent yang dongqing
Faint wisps of smoke drifted out from the restroom entrance, along with a few muffled groans and screams of pain.
Su Mu lifted the stained yellow curtain with his cane and stepped inside. Just then, a male student walked out.
The student had a completely ordinary face, the kind you’d never recognize in a crowd, but there was a touch of arrogance and hostility between his brows. Traces of dried blood stained his knuckles.
When he saw Su Mu, he didn’t speak. He only frowned slightly, his gaze carrying a hint of warning, then walked past with his head held high.
Su Mu didn’t pay him any attention either, even though this was his intended target—Yang Dongqing, the Transcendent he planned to hunt.
He walked straight to one of the stalls and pushed the door open with his cane. Inside, three yellow-haired students lay sprawled beside the urinal, groaning in pain.
“What the hell are you looki—” One of them began to curse, but before he could finish, thud!
The tip of Su Mu’s cane lightly tapped the ground with a deep, dull sound.
“Chief!”
Su Mu nodded. “What happened?”
Under Su Mu’s gaze, the leader of the three, Cui Hao, began to explain. “We tried to extort Yang Dongqing as usual, but this time, he didn’t give in and beat us up instead.”
Su Mu nodded. “What do you plan to do next?”
“I told him, ‘Don’t leave after school if you’ve got the guts.’ He agreed. I’ve got an older brother outside the school with dozens of guys under him. I plan to call him and block Yang Dongqing after school.”
Hearing this, Su Mu gave a silent chuckle, said nothing, and turned to leave the restroom.
Soon after his departure, the moaning resumed in the restroom.
…
Inside the classroom, Su Mu sat by the window in the last row, gazing absentmindedly outside.
A middle-aged, balding teacher with glasses droned on from the textbook. Most students were either sleeping or whispering to each other. Only a few in the front rows were paying attention.
The teacher didn’t care about the class’s behavior. Unless someone got too noisy, he wouldn’t interfere, treating the class like a chore to complete.
It looked like a completely ordinary classroom, with an ordinary teacher and ordinary students. But no one would’ve guessed that inside this little room sat a Transcendent—and the person planning to hunt him.
Yang Dongqing was Su Mu’s classmate. Unlike the untouchable and feared Su Mu, Yang Dongqing had always been the most overlooked student in class—frequently bullied and extorted.
But now things were different. The once-timid Yang Dongqing now had a faint sense of pride in his gaze, a pride that made him stand out like a crane among chickens, as if everyone else were beneath him.
He was currently holding a pen and spacing out, occasionally jotting down a few words in his notebook. No one knew what he was thinking.
Time ticked by. Halfway through the class, Yang Dongqing’s expression suddenly changed. He instinctively clutched his chest, a trace of fear flashing across his face.
“Mr. Wang, I’d like to use the restroom,” he suddenly raised his hand and said.
The teacher glanced at him and waved dismissively. “Go.”
Yang Dongqing quickly scratched out what he’d written in his notebook, then stood up and walked straight out of the classroom.
Elite High School had always been lax with discipline, yet it remained the top school in District Thirteen—though, to be fair, there weren’t many high schools in the district to begin with.
Tap, tap, tap…
The sound of footsteps gradually faded outside the classroom. Once it vanished completely, a bizarre scene unfolded.
The teacher’s voice halted mid-sentence. The whispering students instantly went silent, like someone had pressed a pause button.
The entire classroom fell into dead silence. All the students sat upright, stiff like puppets. Shff!
At that moment, everyone turned their heads in perfect unison, eyes fixed intently on Su Mu at the back row.
“Chief!”
The deep, synchronized greeting echoed.
Su Mu turned his gaze from the window and looked at them calmly.
“What did he write?”
Yang Dongqing’s desk mate and the student behind him answered at the same time. “Dream World! Nightmare!”
Su Mu’s eyes flickered slightly, and a thoughtful expression appeared on his face.
Dream World? Nightmare?
Why would Yang Dongqing write those two words?
Teenagers write all sorts of strange things, especially during puberty, but Yang Dongqing wasn’t just any teen anymore. He was a Transcendent.
He had always been bullied, and his sudden transformation happened only within the last two weeks. Clearly, he became a Transcendent during that time.
A newly awakened Transcendent’s mind definitely wouldn’t work like a normal person’s. Just like the difference in mindset between someone earning three thousand a month and someone earning three million—they think on completely different levels.
So if Yang Dongqing wrote those two words, it wasn’t just teenage angst. It had to be related to what caused his sudden change. It had to do with his transformation into a Transcendent.
Could it be…
Su Mu started to guess. Could Yang Dongqing have obtained his power from the Dream World, just like he did?
Su Mu’s Mental Power grew without limit—was Yang Dongqing’s Physical Body undergoing unlimited strengthening?
If that were true, then it would mean Su Mu was also a Transcendent.
No… something doesn’t add up.
Yang Dongqing didn’t sleep during class!
Su Mu clearly remembered that back when he gained the ability to control the Dream World, all he ever wanted to do was sleep. Compared to the omnipotence of his dreams, reality was painfully dull.
If Yang Dongqing had the same ability, Su Mu didn’t believe that he could resist the temptation to sleep.
Interesting. A faint smile curled Su Mu’s lips. He liked the unknown. The unknown meant surprises. He was already bored to death with the omnipotence of dreams.
Tap.
His cane lightly tapped the ground, and the classroom instantly returned to its noisy state.
“Students, open your books to page 138…”
The teacher’s dull voice resumed, lulling students to sleep once more.
Su Mu’s thoughts drifted again.
In fact, he had already hypnotized everyone in the school—including the old security guard’s dog.
To burn through his rapidly growing Mental Power, how could he possibly spare those around him?
That was how he discovered Yang Dongqing’s change.
Half a month ago, he noticed Yang Dongqing had broken free from hypnosis.
In other words, while everyone else in the school was a puppet on his strings, Yang Dongqing’s string had snapped.
That was when Su Mu realized that Yang Dongqing had become a Transcendent.
He’d been absent from school for about a week. When he came back, Su Mu had “casually” waved the Ouroboros pattern on his cane in front of him—only to find that Yang Dongqing showed no reaction.
To confirm his suspicion, Su Mu ran a series of hypnosis tests and drew two conclusions.
First, something had changed in Yang Dongqing—ordinary hypnosis no longer worked on him.
Second, the change was primarily in his Physical Body, not his mind. Otherwise, the hypnosis would have been noticed immediately.
And based on that, everything else began to unfold.
