I Use Illusions To Control The Whole World Chapter 32
Jasmine is doomed—my word
Countless people emerged from the shadows, stepping into the sunlight. There were men and women, old and young, all dressed plainly, but every one of them wore a blank expression. Their eyes, however, radiated boundless malice.
More and more of them gathered, surging toward Su Mu and the others like a tightening net.
Heavy footsteps echoed throughout the village like the drums of death, pounding in everyone’s hearts.
“They’re here! Run!” Ye Fanyu roared anxiously and bolted forward like a leopard. His target was a three-story house in the northwest corner of the village—one of the tallest structures in Zhao Family Village.
Previously concealed in darkness, the building was now visible in the growing daylight.
Everyone ran for their lives. Su Mu, however, remained calm, even taking time to observe the villagers’ faces. He felt no panic—after all, there was no point in it. He couldn’t run fast, couldn’t fight them off. So he might as well enjoy the view from the stretcher.
He now understood why Ye Fanyu had suspected him and his men of being Nightmare Creatures. Honestly, the expressions of the Viper Gang underlings and the villagers weren’t much different—both were emotionless, like brainwashed puppets.
Wait… Hypnotized?
Su Mu’s eyes narrowed. Could it be that these villagers also had a leader, someone controlling them?
Then again, not every chief had his level of refinement. That elegant aura that made him stand out—it simply couldn’t be hidden.
“Get out of the way!” Ye Fanyu shouted from the front. He raised his right hand like a gun and fired at a villager blocking the path.
BOOM!
A highly compressed flame bullet roared from his fingertip, striking the villager and erupting into a fiery explosion.
The villager collapsed into the flames but quickly stood up again, continuing to charge toward Ye Fanyu, even with half his body charred.
Bang! Bang!
Two more [Five-Finger Flame Bullets] followed. Only after turning the villager into a scorched husk did he finally fall silent.
Su Mu observed silently. So it took three flame bullets to kill one villager? No wonder Ye Fanyu hadn’t dared venture out during the past three days. With hundreds of villagers and only one Transcendent, unless he had a [Five-Finger Gatling], he simply couldn’t hold them off.
More villagers appeared ahead, blocking the path. Yang Dongqing was forced into the fight as well.
Compared to Ye Fanyu’s flashy flame attacks, Yang Dongqing’s approach was simpler. Using [Iron Will], he charged like a heavy tank straight at the villagers.
One punch sent a villager flying several meters, leaving a huge dent in his chest. But Yang Dongqing’s attacks were clearly less lethal than Ye Fanyu’s—soon after, the villager stood up again as if nothing had happened.
Luckily, the villagers found it hard to break through Yang Dongqing’s defense. However, if he got surrounded, he wouldn’t last long. His stamina had limits.
With two Transcendents clearing the path, the group couldn’t move quickly, but at least they weren’t completely surrounded.
Zhao Chaoyao and the rest weren’t idle either. These Viper Gang elites, under hypnosis, were like cold-blooded war machines. Facing inhuman monsters didn’t scare them—instead, they fought more fiercely, as if protecting their Chief was the highest honor.
Bang bang bang…
A web of bullets pushed back the villagers chasing from behind. But the firepower was too weak—unless they all focused on a single target, it was hard to kill any of them.
After a brief skirmish, Ye Fanyu, using his flame bullets to open a path, was the first to rush into the courtyard of the three-story house. He didn’t stop and ran straight for the main door.
It was a heavy solid-wood door, adorned with ancient bronze rings that gave it a solemn, antique feel.
He shoved the door open and shouted back, “Quick! Get inside!”
Li Qiang and the others lit up with hope. Despite being starved for three days, they found a surge of strength and rushed toward the entrance.
But no matter how fast they were, they couldn’t outrun the Viper Gang. Even while carrying a stretcher, these elites moved with shocking speed.
Of course, no one was faster than the Transcendent, Yang Dongqing, who secured second place.
Just as the Viper Gang carried Su Mu toward the entrance, chaos erupted!
No one noticed two villagers suddenly dashing out from behind a large Chinese scholar tree in the courtyard!
They pounced on the group. Even the Viper Gang underlings, despite being elites, were caught off guard and knocked to the ground.
“Ah!!” Wang Li screamed in terror. Li Qiang and the others panicked, scattering in all directions. The scene instantly descended into chaos.
“Protect the Chief!” Zhao Chaoyao shouted, drawing the machete from his waist and slashing at the two villagers.
But how could ordinary people defeat enemies that even Transcendents struggled with? Once in close range, the Viper Gang underlings were no match at all.
Worse still, the villagers chasing from behind were catching up.
“Ah! Don’t eat me!” cried a man named Wang Tao. He was the first to be tackled to the ground by a villager. Immediately, several more villagers swarmed over him, tearing into him viciously. Only one arm stretched weakly from the crowd, clawing at the sky before it dropped lifelessly. Silence followed.
Amid the chaos, even Su Mu on the stretcher was jostled and nearly thrown off. The frame shook violently as his subordinates formed a human wall around him to protect him.
He saw, at close range, a hideous face sink its teeth into one of his men’s necks. Even while fatally wounded, the man didn’t retreat—instead, he clung tightly to the attacker, allowing others to pin the villager down.
The stretcher rocked harder. The intense shaking made Su Mu’s head throb again.
He frowned and looked toward Yang Dongqing, who stood at the gate.
Ye Fanyu wasn’t making a move—his [Five-Finger Flame Bullet] had too much destructive power. With the group in total disarray, using it in the courtyard could kill more allies than enemies.
Yang Dongqing’s face was grim, as if he was hesitating.
He met Su Mu’s gaze across the chaos. Their eyes locked, and Su Mu understood his thoughts.
Yang Dongqing was thinking—if Su Mu died here, wouldn’t he and Jasmine finally be free? But he hesitated. What if Su Mu had other tricks?
The longer their eyes met, the more fear grew in Yang Dongqing’s heart. Su Mu was like a devil in human skin—someone who could calmly watch his own people die, who found Nightmare Creatures amusing rather than terrifying.
And he truly had power—power to pull this many people into the same nightmare.
Suddenly, Su Mu smiled silently. Transcendents really were hard to control. Given the slightest chance, they’d break free of hypnosis. But that only made things more interesting, didn’t it?
His smile looked disturbingly out of place among the faces twisted in terror. It unsettled Yang Dongqing so much, he couldn’t bring himself to look directly at it.
Then, Su Mu extended his slender, pale hand and slowly made a slicing gesture across his own neck.
His lips curled into a cold, bone-chilling grin, revealing sharp white teeth. His thin, elegant lips moved silently:
“Jasmine is doomed—my word.”
