I Use Illusions To Control The Whole World Chapter 50
Kill me, then become me!
Su Mu! Su Mu was everywhere!
At that moment, Ye Fanyu felt the sheer absurdity of it all—he was actually surrounded by countless Su Mus!?
“No! This is impossible! What the hell is going on?” Ye Fanyu completely lost it. He had never seen anything so bizarre.
Like a madman, he opened fire. Flame bullets sprayed in all directions like a torrential stream.
In an instant, the entire battlefield became a sea of fire.
Within that blazing inferno, the Su Mus—bodies twisted by fire, skin charred black—continued to charge at him without fear of death.
“Su Mu!!” Ye Fanyu howled to the sky, his eyes bloodshot. “I don’t care what kind of strange ability you have—no matter how many of you there are, I’ll kill every last one!”
He was utterly crazed, his emotions ignited like dry grass. He charged into the swarm of Su Mus, killing every one he saw.
“Kill me, kill me… and then… become me!” the identical Su Mus around him all spoke in unison.
“[Ten-Finger Flame Bullet]!”
“[Flame Fist]!”
The sounds of explosions, crackling fire, and collapsing bodies filled the air, forming a brutal symphony across the burning battlefield.
Five minutes later.
Only one figure remained standing on the battlefield. That figure swayed, gasping for breath, on the verge of collapse.
It was Ye Fanyu.
Bent over, hands braced on his knees, he panted desperately, drawing in the scorching air. Snow-like specks danced before his eyes.
Yet he laughed—manically, wildly, as if releasing all the tension at once. He looked around at the corpses of Su Mu, “Hahaha… I won! In the end, I still won! Cough, cough…”
He coughed violently, his back aching so much he couldn’t even stand straight.
After a long while, he finally managed to steady himself. Just as he tried to push himself up, he suddenly froze—completely still, as if paralyzed by a petrifying spell.
His face twisted in horror, eyes wide with dread. His pupils shrank into fine pinpoints.
What he saw was a small puddle on the ground—left by earlier rainfall, muddy and murky.
Yet in that muddy water… was a reflection.
A face.
A face that filled Ye Fanyu with unspeakable terror.
Su Mu’s face!!!
That pale, handsome face was still smiling—polite and elegant.
In the next moment, Ye Fanyu shakily reached for his own face, trembling, eyes filled with madness.
And in the puddle, Su Mu reached up to touch his own face as well, mimicking Ye Fanyu exactly.
“No… no, no, no! This isn’t real!” Ye Fanyu screamed as he clawed at his own face, as if trying to peel the skin off.
Then he suddenly remembered what Su Mu had said: “Kill me… and then, become me!”
“I’m Su Mu!?” Ye Fanyu’s mind collapsed. “No! No, I’m Ye Fanyu! Su Mu! Come out! I’m going to kill you!”
“I’ve always been here,” Su Mu’s gentle voice whispered beside his ear.
“I… am you. Didn’t you want to kill me? Go on—do it.”
Ye Fanyu grew more hysterical, “You won’t trick me! Come out!!”
In the puddle, Su Mu’s reflection smiled silently, “I told you before. My ability is [Stand User]. From now on, I’ll live in your place. Your power, your wealth, even your family, your friends, your wife… they’ll all be mine.”
“Over my dead body!!” Ye Fanyu roared, veins bulging from his temples. “I’d rather die than let you succeed. You want to take my place? Hahaha… then let’s die together!!”
He suddenly raised his right hand, shaped like a gun, and shoved his index finger into his mouth. Eyes red and flashing with madness, he didn’t hesitate.
He pulled the trigger.
[Five-Finger Flame Bullet]!
He fired the last bullet of his life—aimed at himself.
BANG!
Ye Fanyu fell to the ground, dead.
“See? Suicide. Had nothing to do with me.” In the forest, Su Mu shrugged helplessly. Beside him, Yang Dongqing was already dumbfounded.
As a spectator to the battle, he had the clearest view—and he had never seen anything this bizarre.
After being knocked out by Ye Fanyu, Yang Dongqing had awoken from a sharp pain in his lower body, only to see Su Mu hitting him with a snakeskin-patterned cane.
Just as he was about to curse, Su Mu had gone “Shh” and pointed at Ye Fanyu.
He looked and saw Ye Fanyu rampaging like a madman, slaughtering villagers while screaming Su Mu’s name.
And then… Ye Fanyu blew his own head off.
What the hell!?
Yang Dongqing couldn’t understand any of it, but one thing was clear—Su Mu had woken him up because villagers were attacking. They weren’t just attacking Ye Fanyu—they were targeting Su Mu’s group too.
After waking, Yang Dongqing joined Zhao Chaoyao and the others to fight back, taking down a wave of villagers—at a heavy cost.
“Let’s go. If we stay here, we’ll just get surrounded again. We need to find Tingting,” Su Mu said calmly.
Severely wounded, Yang Dongqing staggered after him. Looking at his own scorched body, then at the blood-soaked Zhao Chaoyao and the few others left, it all felt surreal.
Of the Viper Gang members who had come with Su Mu, only five remained. One was Zhao Chaoyao, the others—names unknown—were all seriously injured.
Only Su Mu, dressed in his immaculate, luxurious suit, looked as graceful as ever, like he was on his way to a banquet.
Yang Dongqing couldn’t help but wonder… were they really in the same Nightmare?
…
…
In a small, low-roofed house.
Su Mu and the others had temporarily taken shelter. Outside, the area was swarming with villagers.
“I didn’t expect someone like you to help Tingting,” Yang Dongqing stared at Su Mu, as if trying to see through him.
Su Mu smiled faintly, “And what kind of person do you think I am?”
“You’re a lunatic. A madman who doesn’t care about life or death. A gentleman obsessed with witnessing ‘something exciting,’ no matter the cost,” Yang Dongqing gave his honest evaluation.
“Thanks for the compliment.”
“I wasn’t complimenting you!” Yang Dongqing snapped. “I just don’t get it. Why would someone like you help Tingting?”
Su Mu adjusted his glasses. His dark, unreadable eyes locked onto Yang Dongqing, and he replied calmly, “Classmate Yang Dongqing, tell me… what do you think I mean by ‘something exciting’?”
Yang Dongqing snorted, thinking of what he’d experienced with Jasmine, “You enjoy manipulating human nature, watching people struggle, just to satisfy your twisted pleasures. Isn’t that the ‘excitement’ you’re after?”
