Sss Awakening I Can Class Change At Will Chapter 413

Meeting her[ … words ]

[ … words ]

Moon and his team moved into the corridor where the three First Star Evolvers had fled. The passage was narrower than the main chamber, forcing them into a tighter formation. The tanks led, shields forward, with the rest of the team stacked behind them.

Crystals emitting light adorned the walls around them, dimming as they moved deeper into the corridor. Moon walked behind the tanks, with a focused expression plastering his face. No sound escapes his ears, and no movement escapes his eyes, he was prepared for anything.

Although he didn’t see, Moon knew where the three had fled. There was only one place they would run to, after all. Back to their master. Back to the throne room where the woman with the red eyes sat surrounded by her chained servants and her inner circle.

They would be waiting in preparation. Fortified behind whatever defenses the Runesmith Lukas had time to set up, bolstered by whatever power the woman could provide.

Moon wasn’t a fool. He had no illusions about what lay ahead.

The problem was information. He had less than what he would like. He knew the woman was a First Star Evolver. He knew she controlled people through pills that functioned as curses or even perhaps disguised as such. Just like how he made his potions appear to be the antidote, when in reality, it was his cleanse skill that did the work. That was certainly a possibility.

He knew Joseph served as her scout and Lukas as her Runesmith. He knew she kept chained men beside her throne, acting like an aloof queen, aware of her kingdom and everything that transpired within. But he didn’t know her class. Didn’t know her skills. Didn’t know how she fought, or if she fought at all. He didn’t know how many people remained in her inner circle or how truly strong they were.

It wasn’t enough. Not by his standards. He liked to enter fights with thorough knowledge of his enemies, their strengths, their weaknesses, their patterns. It allowed him to prepare counters, set traps, and control the flow of combat before it even started.

This time, circumstances hadn’t allowed that luxury.

He would have to adapt on the fly.

Soon, they arrived before a large door. It was massive, carved from solid stone, almost like a gate built to withstand a siege. Runes were etched along its frame, faintly glowing in the dim light of the corridor.

“This is it.” Moon muttered, staring at the door. “The entrance to her throne room.”

Frey’s description had been vague but sufficient. A single large room beyond this door. A throne at the far end. The woman at the center of it all.

Moon looked at his team. His teams’ faces were all contorted in various emotions, whether it was fear, anger, expectation or even excitement.

After all, they were only humans. Love, hate, fear, courage, expectation, doubt, these emotions were deeply rooted in their very being. But despite the storm behind each pair of eyes, they all shared a singular goal.

Defeat their tormentor and emerge victorious.

Moon turned back to the door and studied it. Movement sensor runes lined the frame. They had already triggered the moment the team entered the corridor.

“They know we’re here already.” Moon smiled.

He gestured for the tanks to step aside. They moved without question, pressing their backs against the corridor walls to give him space.

Moon walked up to the stone gate alone. He stared at its surface for a moment longer, assessing it.

“Let’s get this over and done with. Everyone, prepare your shields, and spells. We might get attacked the moment this opens.”

The team raised their defenses. The tanks angled their physical shields toward the doorway. The mages prepared barriers.

Moon raised his leg.

BAM!

He kicked the center of the stone door.

The impact was thunderous as a single, sharp crack echoed through the corridor. Stone fractured from the point of contact outward. Fissures raced across the entire surface in every direction, splitting the massive slab into a web of broken pieces.

Then, crumbled.

The entire door collapsed inward, tons of stone tumbling to the floor in a cascade of dust and rubble. The crash shook the walls around them, and debris scattered across the threshold of the room beyond.

His team stared in shock.`

The warriors especially. They understood what they had just witnessed better than anyone. That door was solid stone. Meters thick. It weighed tons at minimum. The sort of barrier that would require multiple people with heavy equipment or powerful spells to breach.

Moon had brought it down with a single kick. A quick, clean kick that made it look like the door had been made of glass.

The dust was immediately dealt with by Moon using a simple wind attack that dispersed it. Beyond the ruined doorway, the throne room was now visible to them.

“You’ve finally came, Moon Outlaw.” She said, watching Moon step through the rubble with an expression that could only be described as curiosity Her voice was soft, charming in a way that other females couldn’t replicate. Her tone was measured, and her words were precisely spoken.

Moon stared at the figure behind the voice, the person that had controlled almost a hundred evolvers, whether with curses, or with simple words.

She sat at the far end of the room, on the majestic throne he had been told about before. Her dark black hair fell past her buttocks, all the way down to base of the throne behind her, it was by no means natural. The tight leather body armor exposed her curvaceous body in ways normal clothing couldn’t, the woman clearly wasn’t modest about it.

She had almond shaped eyes that slanted upwards, adorned with two enigmatic ruby gemstones, and lips like the bud of a moist flower.

Moon wasn’t surprised by the fact that the woman knew his name, he wasn’t exactly unknown, his face and name had spread far and wide. It wouldn’t take long to find him if someone searched.

“You are?”

“You can call me…Layla.” She smiled, her lips slowly curving upwards.
