After he took the Viper Fangs Metac, he strolled into the core of the world. This time, the world didn’t try to stop his approach. It seemed the will of the world was just like the viper. Both of them recognized that they were doomed.

It was only now that Loki felt something akin to apprehension. He was still happy and willing to plunder this world. But while he was doing it, he thought about how he would feel for him to be in the same situation as the viper and this world.

This made him say, “This is why I can’t stop. I must continue plundering and devouring and growing stronger so that I never become them. He thought about intercepting the world and even chased after it. However, he was surprised when he caught up to it.

He had expected the world to be moving too fast for him to meet. Now that he could actually get to it, he felt that his plan could work.

Unfortunately, before he got close to the crystal shield of the world, golden chains materialized around the world. The golden chains wrapped the world tightly and formed a cocoon around it that blocked access to the world.

Not only that, but the golden chains also unfurled and snapped towards him. They behaved exactly like the viper he just fought in the way they lunged at him.

He didn’t know if the golden chains wanted to grab him and imprison him as they did to the world or if they wanted to kill him. He didn’t know what they wanted to do to him, but he doubted that whatever they planned was a good thing, so he jumped back to avoid them.

The golden chains missed him. But they remained around the world for a while after he left. They continued to linger for several minutes before they disappeared.

Loki didn’t see any golden chains anymore, but he wasn’t fooled into thinking that the small world was defenseless. But when he thought of who was protecting the small world, he couldn’t help but chuckle.

As he chuckled, he said to himself, ’I wonder if the small world likes that the golden chains are protecting it now. For some reason, I doubt it. I have an inkling that this small would rather be free to defend itself.’

After chuckling, he continued on his journey back home.

If the small world had been easy to take, he might have gone through with it. But from what he could see, the golden chains were ready to defend their catch.

However, the main reason he gave up on the small world was that the golden chains were actually rank 9 objects. This meant that they were involved with at least one Dao Lord.

With that kind of background, he thought that it was a good idea not to mess with the captured small world. He just doesn’t have enough power to deal with the repercussions of taking the small world.

In fact, he doesn’t even think he can snatch the small world from the golden chains, considering that the golden chains are rank 9. It was more likely that the chains would grab him, chain his body, spirit, and mind, and prevent him from escaping by reversing time. So he decided to give up.
