KIHO found it easy working with the Fire Mages.

[I don’t need to voice out the plan.]

Battue.

It was the method that they were using against the flying Crades who didn’t have high intelligence. Hence, the man-eating monsters didn’t realize that the Fire Mages– that were acting as the ’beaters’– were actually driving the Crades towards the ’hunter.’

And the hunter was none other than Kiho.

All the Crades that the Fire Mages brought him were instantly frozen by his ice power.

But the monsters didn’t stay frozen, though.

The wicked Princess Nia fed the Crades that she raised using the hearts of the Fire Mages that she had killed in the past.

[Including the heart of my mother-in-law.]

“Blasted monsters,” Kiho growled, gripping the sword in his hands tighter. “I’ll end you all here.”

The Crades that succeeded in melting his ice didn’t get to live long.

Kiho sliced them into tiny pieces, and the Fire Mages supporting him from behind instantly burned those pieces into ashes so that monsters that had regeneration abilities wouldn’t have time to heal themselves.

“Bring them to me!” Kiho yelled firmly. “Don’t let a single Crade escape!”

He wasn’t afraid to go all-out because he already secured Winter’s location.

His son was still unconscious.

To make sure that Winter wouldn’t be hurt during the fight, he stealthily asked the snakes to hide his son.

[They took Winter to the cave in order to protect him.]

His thoughts were interrupted when the Crades were sent to his way doubled in number.

Soon, the Fire Mages already surrounded Kiho as he was in the center while freezing the Crades on his own.

That was when the other monsters finally realized what was going on.

The Crades that were quick to catch on tried to flee. But the Fire Mages didn’t let any monster escape– they burned them into ashes.

[Even though the Crades outnumber us, it didn’t matter because the Fire Mages are strong.]

“She’s not trying to beat us using these Crades,” Kiho whispered to himself, then he looked down at Tilly and Nia who were fighting on the land now. “That princess is going to flee.”

***

“YOU’RE going to run away, aren’t you?” Tilly asked Nia, smirking. “If the Fire Mages didn’t arrive, you would have run away already while Kiho and I were dealing with the Crades.”

Nia smiled elegantly while wiping the dust off of her cloak with her hand. “Why do you still have to ask when you obviously already know the answer?” This time, the dethroned princess’ smile turned into a sneer. “Supreme Fire Mage, do you really have the time to worry about me? Shouldn’t you worry about your own people?”

Her smile slowly disappeared.

Of course, she was worried about Solaris.

The fact that the Fire Mages living on the floating island suddenly descended could only mean Solaris already gave up on their home.

[And there’s only one reason why Solaris would do something as drastic as this.]

“Soleil Rosenberg, I heard the Fire Mages have been living on a floating island for a long time. But they suddenly descended,” Nia said, smirking haughtily at her. “I wonder what could have happened?”

“Don’t think I’m not aware of your delaying tactic,” Tilly said, scoffing. Then she opened her hands and gathered her flame in her hands. “I know you already lost your ability as a de Moonasterio the moment I cut your relationship with Aku de Moonasterio. That’s why, right now, the only thing you can use to fight me is the control you have over the Crades.”

She thought her taunting was enough to wipe the arrogant smirk off of Nia’s face.

But, much to her shock, the dethroned princess laughed.

[What the hell…?]

“Tilly.”

Huh?

She was surprised when Nia Moonchester addressed her by her current name in a friendly manner as if they were friends.

[This crazy princess would often address me as ’Soleil Rosenberg.’]

“Aku Moonchester stole my most favorite Crade,” Nia said, still laughing like the villainess that she was. “He stole my WINGED-GUARDIAN that is capable of reaching the heavens.”

Tilly felt a shiver down her spine.

A winged-guardian?

[A monster that can reach the heavens?]

Nia was practically saying that Aku Moonchester MIGHT be the reason why the Fire Mages from Solarium– the floating island– suddenly descended from the sky.

And if it was true, then…

[Solaris, Brother, my Keepers…]

An ungodly amount of rage rose in her chest.

To be honest, they already suspected that Aku Moonchester had already discovered the floating island.

It wasn’t what made her angry.

[The fact that the Fire Mages descended makes me think that Aku Moonchester had successfully invaded the floating island, and that was WHAT made me angry.]

Nia laughed louder, her eyes filled with viciousness. “I like the look on your face, you wench.”

[I don’t have time to deal with this wicked princess!]

“Sentinel,” Tilly said, summoning Wixx’s Spirit Guardian that her brother left for her. “Come out.”

And, in just the blink of an eye, Sentinel was already standing in front of her.

“We’re going up,” Tilly said while walking past her brother’s Spirit Guardian. “Find a way to bring me to Solarium the fastest way.”

Even without looking, she knew Sentinel bowed politely towards her.

“As you command, Supreme Fire Mage.”

After saying that, Sentinel’s presence disappeared.

Nia, who was obviously disappointed that she didn’t leave with Sentinel, let out a frustrated shriek before turning her back on Tilly.

Then the wicked princess used flight magic to escape.

[Ah, so Nia’s plan was to provoke me into leaving the fight in order to go to Solarium. But since it didn’t work, she just tried to run away.]

Well, Tilly wanted to save Solarium where her loved ones were.

But she knew she had the responsibility to end the fight here first.

[Brother, Solaris, my beloved Keepers, please wait for me.]

“You’re not going anywhere, Nia Moonchester,” Tilly said, raising her hands as if she was trying to reach Nia who was already a few meters away from her. “This will be your grave.”

A burst of black flame emerged from Tilly’s hands.

Soon, the black flame took the form of a giant flaming circle that trapped her and Nia inside. The black flame was high enough to block the wicked princess’ way even though she was already far from the ground.

Tilly clenched her hands tight. “Grab that bitch.”

And then the circle of black flame moved like a snake and wrapped itself around Nia’s body– causing the wicked princess to scream in pain.

“LEAVE,” Winchell said to his son in a firm and stern voice. “I’ll take care of that crazy bastard.”

By ’crazy bastard,’ he meant Aku Moonasterio who arrived at Solarium while riding a stupid winged-monster made of bones.

[But even though the monster was only made of bones now, I can feel that it used to be a powerful beast. Moreover, the spell that allows it to move and fly is solid. That wench, Nia Moonchester, paid attention to this one, huh?]

“Father, no. I won’t leave,” Solaris said while shaking his head. “I’ll stay here with you!”

“Don’t be ridiculous, Solairs,” Winchell scolded his son, then he turned to him. “Solarium will get destroyed soon.”

After all, Winchell was planning to go all-out.

Hence, he could already tell that the floating island would get destroyed once he seriously fought “Aku Moonchester.”

Even so, Solaris still protested. “But Father–”

“That crazy bastard is being possessed by Kyro,” Winchell said sternly, cutting off his son before he turned and glared at the Moon God who was possessing the emperor. “A fight between two gods shouldn’t involve humans, so you and the Fire Mages should leave while you still can, my dear son.”

So now, aside from having a happy life with Kiho and their son, she has a new goal: to burn down the b*tches who want to ruin her family again. *** [EXCERPT] *** [‘Why am I so horny tonight?’] Tilly thought to herself while sucking the crab leg suggestively. And then, she noticed that Captain Kiho gulped while staring at her mouth. [‘Ah, I’m not the only who’s hot and bothered here.’] She didn’t know if it was the alcohol in her system or her desperation to have a child… … but she suddenly felt like flirting with him. They were bound to get married and have a child together anyway. “Captain,” said Tilly as soon as she pulled the crab leg out of her mouth. “I can clearly see that we’re both attracted to each other. Shall we spend the night together?” Kiho remained pokerfaced but she saw panic cross his now glowing yellowish eyes. Ah, the captain was flustered. “My lady, you seem to be really drunk.” She walked towards him and when he didn’t move an inch, she stood in front of him and looked up at him with a grin. “Captain, are you the type of man who will only sleep with his betrothed?” “That seems to be the case, my lady.” He said that as if he was forcing the words out of his mouth. Plus, she could see in his eyes that he was conflicted– that it was hard for him to reject her. [‘Aw, I didn’t know that I have this kind of effect on my ex-husband.’] Or perhaps she just didn’t pay attention in the past. “Captain, I have a solution to your problem,” said Tilly in a playful voice. Then, she stood on her toes and whispered in Kiho’s ear. “Let’s get married.”
