SOLENN was about to celebrate when she saw Julian’s unconscious body absorb the flame that hurt him earlier.

After all, Serafina said that it was a good sign.

<“The young master fainted, but it’s only because the Holy Scepter has finally entered his consciousness,”> Serafina, the deity in charge of the Plane, explained calmly. “I needed to use the flame that could trigger divine power in order to awaken the Holy Scepter. It has been buried deep in the young master’s heart for so long that it fell asleep. Hence, I needed to use such a cruel method just to awaken it again.”>

Solenn lost her smile, then she clenched her hands really tight. “Yes. that was indeed cruel of you to burn Julian using a flame that could hurt him. Which makes me wonder what kind of flame could have harmed the Supreme’s child.”

Julian was the Supreme’s son, hence he should have been immune to any kind of flame in the world.

After all, the Supreme had the strongest flame of all.

<“The flame only hurt the young master because the Holy Scepter tried to extinguish it,”> Serafina explained. <“But when the Holy Scepter calmed down, it stopped attacking the flame. Hence, the young master managed to calm the flame and absorb it– just like what’s happening at this very moment.”>

She was relieved to hear that.

After all, she almost lost her mind when she saw Julian in pain.

[That child has already experienced a lifetime of pain. All I want for him is to be finally happy this time.]

“Is Julian unconscious because the Holy Scepter is talking to him?”

<“That’s right, young princess,”> Serafina confirmed while nodding her head. <“I believe it’s only a matter of time before the young master separates the Holy Scepter from his body. Hence, you must make haste, young princess.”

“Huh?” she asked, confused. Then she pointed a finger at her face. “Me? I have something to do except guard Julian here?”

<“Oh, did I forget to tell you?”>

“Tell me what?”

<“That we need the Saint to hold the Holy Scepter,”> Serafina explained, and the deity had the audacity to sound frustrated when it was her who forgot to say the most important thing. <“As far as I know, only the Saint could hold the Holy Scepter. If there’s no one to literally hold the Holy Scepter down, then it would automatically ascend back to the Sky God.”>

“What?! You should have said so in the beginning!” Solenn complained, then she immediately ran towards the door. “I’m going to find the Saint real quick!”

TO SAY that Tilly was shocked when she saw Julian’s horrible state would be an understatement.

The floor where her son was lying down, unconscious, had signs of burning.

There were also some burn marks on Julian’s skin.

[What kind of flame dared to harm my son?!]

She was so angry that she didn’t bother to ask where the hell they were.

Well, she could tell that she was on the Plane. For some reason, it felt familiar to her. Was it because she had already died once and got reincarnated in this place?

But, other than that, the Black Flame inside her was reacting for some reason.

Of course, she ignored that.

“Brother Julian!” Winter cried, kneeling beside his brother. It looked like he wanted to hug Julian, but hesitated when he saw his brother’s minor injuries. “I’m sorry for leaving you here, Brother…”

“It’s not your fault, son,” Kiho– who automatically returned to his human form when they arrived there– said while patting Winter’s shoulder, then he glared at the only ’stranger’ in that room. “What did you do to Julian? You better give us a proper response if you don’t wish to disappear along with this place.”

Oh.

Tilly wasn’t the target of her husband’s bloodlust, but she still felt a shiver down her spine.

[Kiho doesn’t talk much, but he can create the most terrifying threats when he’s angry. And the scarier part? He could deliver his threat well.]

<“I apologize, Lord Kiho, Lady Supreme, Young Master Winter. I had to do what I did in order to awaken the Holy Scepter. I understand that it’s hard to see Young Master Julian in that state, but I assure you that the Young Master is safe…”>

The deity suddenly stopped talking.

[And she better do.]

Tilly clenched her hands tight and growled lowly while looking at Julian’s chest area.

Blood.

Blood was pouring out of her son’s chest as if he had been stabbed by an invisible force…

… and it happened right in front of them!

How could they fail to protect Julian in that situation?!

Tilly, Kiho, and Winter all used their hands to cover the bleeding part of Julian’s chest– scared that they might have been a hole there that they didn’t see.

<“Please don’t cover the Young Master’s chest like that! The Holy Scepter needs to come out!”>

Ah, was that the reason why Julian’s chest was bleeding?

To be fair, Tilly could feel her son’s body getting warmer and warmer.

It was to the point that Kiho and Winter were forced to remove their hands from Julian’s chest because it had been too hot for them to touch.

But as the Supreme, she didn’t encounter that kind of problem.

<“The Holy Scepter is coming out but the Saint isn’t here yet,”> Serafina said worriedly. <“Only the Saint could hold the Holy Scepter. If he’s not here, then the Holy Scepter would automatically be sent back to the heavens.”>

To be honest, Tilly didn’t care about the Holy Scepter.

But if Julian had to sacrifice himself for that stupid thing, then she wouldn’t let her son’s hard word be put in vain.

Tilly removed her hands from Julian’s chest when her son’s body vibrated.

Almost instinctively, she could tell that a power item was about to come out– and it did.

Julian, still unconscious, groaned and coughed up blood when something the size of a tennis ball covered in bluish lights came out of his chest.

Tilly knew it was the Holy Scepter, so she stood up and tried to catch it.

But Kiho had beat her to it.

[Nice catch, honey.]

<“Impossible,”> Serafina muttered in disbelief. <“The Black Serpent caught the Holy Scepter…?”>

Tilly scoffed at the deity. “Of course. My husband is amazing.”

“M-Mommy, D-Daddy!” Winter yelled, his voice in a panic. “There’s a huge hole in Brother Julian’s chest where his heart should be!”

Apparently, she's the Beast Priestess... ... and her lineage isn't supposed to exist anymore. Because of her blood, there are people who want her gone. So now, aside from having a happy life with Kiho and their son, she has a new goal: to burn down the b*tches who want to ruin her family again. *** [EXCERPT] *** [‘Why am I so horny tonight?’] Tilly thought to herself while sucking the crab leg suggestively. And then, she noticed that Captain Kiho gulped while staring at her mouth. [‘Ah, I’m not the only who’s hot and bothered here.’] She didn’t know if it was the alcohol in her system or her desperation to have a child… … but she suddenly felt like flirting with him. They were bound to get married and have a child together anyway. “Captain,” said Tilly as soon as she pulled the crab leg out of her mouth. “I can clearly see that we’re both attracted to each other. Shall we spend the night together?” Kiho remained pokerfaced but she saw panic cross his now glowing yellowish eyes. Ah, the captain was flustered. “My lady, you seem to be really drunk.” She walked towards him and when he didn’t move an inch, she stood in front of him and looked up at him with a grin. “Captain, are you the type of man who will only sleep with his betrothed?” “That seems to be the case, my lady.” He said that as if he was forcing the words out of his mouth. Plus, she could see in his eyes that he was conflicted– that it was hard for him to reject her. [‘Aw, I didn’t know that I have this kind of effect on my ex-husband.’] Or perhaps she just didn’t pay attention in the past. “Captain, I have a solution to your problem,” said Tilly in a playful voice. Then, she stood on her toes and whispered in Kiho’s ear. “Let’s get married.”
