Instructor Sormon and the Shadow Blades were stunned when they saw how quickly Simon was climbing the fourth section of the cliff wall.

It was like the dense fog did not exist, and he was back on the first section.

They were utterly confused, and some of the Shadow Blades had no idea what to do.

Normally, once an Initiate was able to reach the fourth section of the wall, they were not meant to attack the Initiate because it would be extremely difficult for the First Years to dodge the arrows in the thick grey fog.

The Shadow Blades were able to see because of the clan’s ocular technique, but they knew that Simon did not possess this technique because the First Years had not yet been taught this ocular technique.

So, how was Simon able to navigate through the fog almost like it did not exist?

This was the question none of them could answer.

And the Shadow Blades were not certain if they should keep on firing arrows at Simon because of how easy it was for him, or if they should leave him alone.

Instructor Sormon knew about the dilemma of the Shadow Blades, and although he hated what he was seeing, he ordered the Shadow Blades to leave Simon alone and to continue firing arrows on the other students.

This was just the first day, and he believed that spending so much of his energy and his emotions on the first day was not worth it.

Besides, they still had other trainings to do, and he believed that Simon would definitely fail for the next training.

’Yeah. There’s no way the slave would be able to learn anything in the next training if I don’t teach him. One has to be taught to learn how to walk on walls.’

Instructor Sormon already believed that the cliff climbing training was useless in suppressing Simon.

Although there was still one more section left, the fourth section was even more challenging than the fifth because of the poor visibility.

Since Simon could easily pass the third and fourth section, then the cliff climbing training was useless.

Instructor Sormon decided to focus on the others and leave Simon up to fate.

But a seed of hope was still in his heart.

Maybe.

Just maybe, Simon would slip and fall to his death.

’That would be for the best.’Instructor Sormon thought.

However… he was bound to be disappointed.

Approximately fifteen minutes later, Simon reached the end of the fourth section.

He sat on his resting platform, but his eyes were looking above.

The fifth section was much, much, much different from the last four sections.

In fact, Simon had no idea how this was related to cliff climbing since what he was seeing was an overhand.

At four hundredth feet of the cliff wall, the cliff face was no longer vertical but horizontal. The cliff face suddenly juts outward, creating a large overhang.

The surface of the cliff wall leading to the overhang was too smooth and there was no opening where one could hold on to.

From the ceiling of the overhang, there were numerous massive iron chains hanging downward, and these chains extend 60-80 ft down into open air.

The chains were spaced several feet apart, and one would need to jump and swing to move from one chain to the other.

Simon observed the structure and position of the chains with slightly narrowed eyes.

“I see.”

“I’ve been climbing up ever since, but now,I have to first descend down the chains, then jump or swing to another chain before I reach that chain that’s connected to the other cliff wall.”

“I guess that’s where I’m meant to stop. I can see somebody standing in that place through Sky Eye.”

Simon shifted his gaze from the individual on the opposite cliff wall to the dangling and swaying chains.

He had seen the chains after he created Sky Eye, but he could not reach them because they were too far away from him.

And jumping while climbing was dangerous since he would not be able to jump with his full strength.

Imagine he missed a chain and fell to his death?

He would honestly die with shame and regrets.

“Well. Jumping from here to that chain is doable.”

Simon stood and performed some light stretches as he set his sights on a particular chain that was close to him.

The chains were not small and could not be completely held with one hand. They were massive, and one could even run on them.

So, Simon knew that if he missed the chain, his life would be in danger.

What also made it scary was the wind of the ravine that pushed the chains and made them sway from time to time.

“Let’s go.”

Without hesitation, Simon enhanced his foot with demonic energy and jumped.

The nearest chain was nearly sixty feet away from his platform, but Simon easily jumped to it and reached it.

He grunted as he grabbed it and swayed around like a monkey.

He waited till the chain became more stable, and when it did, he descended down the chain.

Some minutes later, he jumped from one chain to another, easily covering the distance between the chain.

There were times the wind would sway the chains, but this did not disturb Simon in the slightest.

His balance as a demon with the Sky Tiger Bloodline was top notch, and he could stand on the chains all day even with the wind blowing.

Eventually, he reached the last chain that led to the other cliff wall, then he walked on it and reached the opposite cliff.

He was done.

He had completed the training before anybody else, but Simon did not feel any sort of accomplishment.

For him, the only benefit he gained from this training was the creation of Sky Eye.

That was all.

’I might have to skip this class from now on if it’s going to be like this and if the Instructor keeps on this attitude where he refuses to teach me.’

’But let me see how it’ll go… Two more classes, then I’ll decide.’

After having this thought, the individual he saw from the resting platform spoke to him.

The individual was actually a female Shadow Blade, and her job was to send him back to the bottom of the opposite cliff wall through shadow teleportation.

Or to be more specific, their starting point.

Simon agreed, then she snapped her fingers and he fell into his shadow.

When he reappeared, he found himself at the bottom of the cliff wall.
