The tribes inside Eden didn’t expect the Aslan Tribe to destroy the gate that barred them without hesitation.

They were even more surprised when all of their chieftains had chosen to order the warriors to hold their ground and not do anything as reckless as attacking the Aslan Tribe.

As black smoke rose from the city gates, the sound of drums and horns reached everyone’s ears once more.

Leone’s clone wanted to make a grand entrance. So, using the momentum of the gate’s destruction, he decided to let Kael sing the song of the Aslan Tribe while his majestic carriage slowly made its way into the city.

(A/N: Play Lion of Aslan Soleil in the background.)

“Who rides with banners raised so high and dreams of glory won?” Kael sang in an arrogant tone. “Who marches proudly toward the den to challenge Soleil’s son? They speak of valor by the fire, of victories yet to claim. But crows have heard such boasts before and never learned their names.”

The warriors of the Aslan Tribe then banged their spears on their shields as they walked alongside the carriage of their Great Chieftain.

“”Oh, hear the wind through broken spears, hear the wolves and ravens wail! Many came to hunt the lion, none returned to tell the tale.””

“”The earth remembers every fool who thought the golden pride would fail. Now their bones lie in the shadows of the Lions of Soleil!””

Mor Ohn watched all of this happen from the ramparts. Humiliated by the series of events, he looked at the guards of the Warclaw Tribe and opened his mouth, intending to order an attack.

But his eyes caught Godwin’s glare, sending a chill down his spine.

All the anger that clumped in his chest was extinguished by the killing intent his chieftain had unleashed in his direction.

“Behave yourself, or else…” Godwin muttered, his voice icy and sharp like a deadly knife that could pierce a person’s heart.

The Warclaw Tribe was the Regent of Eden. If someone attacked them, they had every right to command all the warriors stationed within its walls, including those who belonged to the other tribes of the Borderlands.

However, Godwin didn’t give such an order for two reasons.

The first one was because he had grown fond of Leone and wished to have a good relationship with the Aslan Tribe.

The second reason was that Gundar would not allow any harm to come to the young man, whom he favored very much.

The moment the house-like carriage moved past the destroyed gate, the song of the Aslan Tribe also ended.

Kael, who was at the very front of the formation riding on a Drake, raised his chin with arrogance.

“We are the Aslan Tribe, and we have come to join the Tribal Gathering,” Kael declared. “Any tribe that dares to look down on us or harm us during our stay will become our enemy! We don’t care who they are or how many warriors they have. The moment you harm even a single strand of my Great Chieftain’s hair, we will declare war upon you without fail!”

“””Hooh! Hah!”””

The warriors of the Aslan Tribe shouted as they thumped their spears on the ground.

Meanwhile, Leone’s clone stood on the rooftop of his carriage with his arms crossed over his chest.

His cape fluttered behind him despite the complete absence of wind.

The young chieftain’s gaze was sharp like a sword that could cut. And yet, the moment he saw a little girl waving in his direction, a smile appeared on his face as he waved back in her direction.

That simple gesture seemed to have broken the tension in the air.

Using that opportunity, Leone’s clone spoke up and addressed the warriors who were all paying close attention to his every action.

“I am the Great Chieftain of the Aslan Tribe, Leone Frontera,” Leone’s clone said before flipping his hair. “You may have heard many stories about me. Some of them are true, some of them are not. So, let me clarify a few things for the sake of everyone gathered here today.”

The young man paused as countless stares locked onto his body. However, he didn’t feel anxious or intimidated by their gazes. A faint smile even hung on his lips, as if this amount of attention was not enough to faze him.

“I am not a barbarian born in these lands,” Leone’s clone stated. “I am an exile from the Kingdom of Britannia. This much is true. But, through sheer luck, good looks, and my overflowing charisma, I was able to carve a path in this harsh environment and become the youngest chieftain in the Borderlands.”

Kael, Ulric, and Jason used all of their willpower not to cover their faces with both hands after hearing the clone’s shameless declaration.

The other warriors of the Aslan Tribe also kept a straight face, already briefed that the one talking to everyone right now wasn’t their chieftain but his clone.

“To cut the long story short, I want to inform all of you that I am not your enemy. I am not the enemy of the barbarians of the Borderlands. Even now, my Aslan Tribe is preparing to fight against the Kingdom of Britannia, which plans to invade us from the north!”

The barbarians who didn’t know about this matter looked at the young chieftain in disbelief.

“I won’t force you to believe me, but this is true,” Leone’s clone stated. “However, they should be the least of our worries. After all, the Aurelion Empire is also about to invade the Borderlands, and their target is the very city where we all currently stand—the Sacred Land of the Barbarian Tribes, the City of Eden!”

When the chieftains first arrived in Eden, they had already warned everyone to prepare for an invasion from the Aurelion Empire.

This news was something that Leone had also shared with them. So, while they were still half doubtful of this news, they still gave him the benefit of the doubt.

After all, lying would gain the young chieftain nothing but the hatred of the barbarian tribes.

“I came here with my three vassals and fifty of our warriors,” Leone’s clone said, his voice growing stronger, firmer, and more passionate.

“The forces of the Aslan Tribe have been stretched thin due to the battle against the Britannian Army, yet I still chose to come here to fight alongside everyone! To protect Eden!

“And what do I get in return?! Someone dared to close the city gates, barring me from entering this city! Is this how the honorable barbarians treat their allies?! Is this how you treat the person who ‌ordered his people to protect the Borderlands from the invasion coming from the north?!”

Leone’s clone wasn’t as forgiving as the original. It was more unhinged and didn’t feel its conscience hurt when guilt-tripping the barbarians who highly regarded honor and sacrifice!

“I know everyone can make mistakes,” Leone said, toning his voice down a bit. His voice even cracked a bit in the end, as if his heart was overwhelmed with sadness and grief upon being subjected to such treatment.

“And I am willing to forgive, forget, and turn a blind eye to this incident. However, this will be the first and last time that this will happen.

The young man then raised his chin in arrogance. At that moment, he truly looked like a warrior of legend who had come to fight the good fight.

To fight for what he believed was right. And what barbarians loved the most were Heroes.

Strong and brave Heroes.

Kael, Ulric, and Jason finally sighed in relief. Finally, the clone seemed to have calmed down a bit.

The people’s gazes even looked apologetic and sympathetic toward them. They had even forgotten the fact that the gates of the city were now destroyed.

However, the relief the members of the Aslan Tribe felt was short-lived.

More accurately, their relief was cut short by the clone who did something none of them saw coming.

It seems that the clone really had a liking to stir the pot and cause trouble as if it was the most normal thing to do in the world.

Not only did the clone poke the hornet’s nest, but it also decided to ignite it!

“My name is Leone Frontera.” Leone’s clone raised his hand, his voice spreading far and wide. “Remember the name of the person who will become the Barbarian King of the Borderlands!”

All the chieftains, as well as the warriors gathered in Eden, looked at the young man in disbelief.

Even Gundar couldn’t help but pinch the bridge of his nose. That single declaration was enough for all the powers of the Borderlands to stop treating the young chieftain like a nobody.

Soon, their heated gazes locked in his direction as if they were scrutinizing a rival who had suddenly decided that he would become their King, as if it was already set in stone.
