57 Chapter 56: Losing himself

Xiu!

Damon’s stationary figure vanished and appeared in front of the enemy with his claws shooting at the fox spirit! In response, she threw an open palm of her own!

Peng!

To her surprise as soon as her palm met that of Damon, she felt an incredible force explode from his body, sending her flying back by a few meters. Her eyes revealed shock as she gazed at her numb palm and wondered what just happened.

Looking ahead, she could see Lucy’s figure slowly fading. She had already escaped the formation but she wasn’t worried about her contacting the arch mage and other professors. When Lucy arrived she revealed her identity as a basilisk when she attacked. A supernatural being will not make direct contact with powerful figures who can see through them until they are strong enough to defend themselves.

Her departure was not going to affect her plans in any way, especially since her main target is still oblivious to what is about to happen right now.

Woosh!

A cool breeze blew as a visible barrier formed once again, covering the area around the hall like a shell. Damon could feel the same terrifying aura that he destroyed earlier was back.

They had restarted their ritual!

“Did you think by letting her escape you stopped the inevitable? Do you think a basilisk would dare call the arch mage for help? You must be crazy to have such thoughts” The three-tailed fox spirit laughed as more people emerged from the hall. There were four more fox spirits standing behind her, making them a team of five fox spirits consisting of one three-tailed fox spirit and the others was two tails.

They have already seen Damon ruin their plans once, they definitely won’t sit and watch him do that again. Since the sacrificial magic isn’t working on him, they had no option but to kill him now!

“All living this must come to an end. Your end was decided the moment you met me” Damon stood emotionless as he gazed at all of them.

At this point, he can’t bother with the rewards anymore. All he can do is kill them off and leave, just for the sake of surviving! So he didn’t hesitate to activate the death aura.

Brrrr!

A fierce fiery darkish purple aura exploded as Damon took a step forward. Just as Damon had predicted, the formation concealing aura was like a double-edged sword that allowed him to go all out without having to worry about a thing. Meanwhile, it also prevented the fox spirits from feeling his diabolic aura, only the three-tailed fox spirit noticed something was off about Damon.

“Even in this situation, this kid has the guts to spit out a lot of crap!”

“Because he is a lone wolf he thinks he can just do as he pleases?”

“I think it’s best to teach him a lesson here!”

“Yea, a lesson he will never forget!”

The two-tailed fox spirits growled in anger as their human hosts sprouted fox tails. They hated the fact that Damon treated them like air even when he is in an unfavorable situation.

Swoosh!

They all sprang forward even before they could be stopped by the three-tailed fox spirit! Four students with two being male and the other two female dashed toward Damon with fierce intentions hidden in their eyes.

Xiu!

The first ran past the group and quickly closed the gap between him and Damon. For a second he was in front of Damon and the next second he vanished, appearing behind Damon!

Puff!

A deadly gash appeared on Damon’s chest as blood squirted out but even then he didn’t move, he simply looked at the claw mark on his chest and acted as if nothing happened!

Xiu!

The other three soon cut up and jumped! The next moment their tails grew in length, striking down at Damon fiercely!

Ba!

Ba!

Numerous fox tails found their way into Damon’s body, tearing his skin and digging as deep as possible!

“Futile attempts from lesser beings” Damon said dryly as he snapped his fingers and fierce darkish purple flames surged around him. The tails which stabbed him from multiple angles were set ablaze but it wasn’t burning.

It was aging!

“What the hell is this?” the three fox spirits cried out in shock and fear, catching the attention of their colleagues who attacked first.

He quickly turned to see what was going on, only to realize Damon was standing in front of him, looking down on him coldly.

“You!” He screamed in fright as the fierce aura of death could be felt at this distance.

He wanted to retreat but tripped and while he fell he watched a bone spear take form by Damon’s side which quickly shot forward, piercing his skull and penetrating his brain!

Pff!

Blood and brain splattered across the ground as Damon stood unmoving. Just like this one, it didn’t take long before the purple flames spread amongst the other three and they were reduced to husks!

Damon stood and felt both the souls of the fox spirits and the students who own the body flow into him!

Ha!

A refreshing feeling washed through his body and he held his breath. His eyes lit up with excitement and rejuvenation and he could feel his cultivation reacting to the nutrition it just received. The black cracks around his eyes area spread across his face even more.

While his heart screamed out to him, Damon couldn’t pay attention. He was lost in the feelings and soon forgot he has killed innocent students possessed by these fox spirits!

Unknown to Damon his actions struck fear deep in the heart of the three tailed fox. She initially thought this lone wolf came here to stop them from massacring numerous students but now she soon realized this kid didn’t come to save anyone.

He simply came here to kill them all!

Only after seeing his abilities did she get reminded of something terrifying that made her turn pale in fear.

“Death magic! You are the new host!” She gasped in shock.
