I Use Illusions To Control The Whole World Chapter 38
Just a little more
Crack!
The villager’s teeth struck Yang Dongqing’s hardened neck, producing a piercing grinding sound.
Yang Dongqing’s expression changed drastically as he realized that the person who had entered wasn’t Ye Fanyu, but a villager!
He struggled violently and suddenly flipped over, pinning the villager beneath him. His iron fists rained down, pounding relentlessly until he smashed the villager’s head into pulp.
“What the hell is going on!?” Yang Dongqing stood up, panting heavily, still shaken. A streak of blood had appeared on his neck. If he hadn’t possessed a powerful Physical Body, that bite would’ve killed him.
He looked toward Su Mu, only to see Su Mu standing still with his head lowered, his body trembling slightly.
Yang Dongqing thought Su Mu had been frightened by the scene, but before he could speak, Su Mu suddenly looked up, his pale face twisted with a crazed, excited grin.
Yang Dongqing was startled. “You…”
“This is perfect! Hahahaha… this is exactly the feeling I was looking for!” Su Mu’s expression became increasingly manic, a strange flush spreading across his ghostly white face.
Madman. A complete madman.
Yang Dongqing suddenly felt a chill run down his spine. He would rather deal with the Nightmare Creatures than stay in the same room as Su Mu.
At that moment, screams came from downstairs.
“There are more villagers downstairs?! Damn it! How did they even get in? I thought they couldn’t enter houses!” Yang Dongqing’s face changed as he cursed.
“Instead of shouting here, why not go see for yourself?” Su Mu’s gentle voice rang out beside him.
Yang Dongqing instinctively turned his head, only to see Su Mu smiling calmly, leaning on his snake-patterned cane, as refined and composed as a nobleman.
That madness from before—like a hallucination.
Damn lunatic.
He cursed softly and quickly headed downstairs.
Gunfire and screams mixed into chaos. The scene below had already turned into a battlefield. About five villagers had broken into the house and were fighting against the Viper Gang members.
Several Viper Gang bodies were already lying on the floor.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Flaming bullets scorched the air, rapidly fired to push the villagers back. But it was useless—more and more villagers continued to pour in.
Su Mu followed the direction the villagers had come from and discovered they were entering through the first-floor bathroom.
“Mr. Su! Mr. Yang! Be careful, the bathroom window on the first floor was destroyed somehow!” Ye Fanyu noticed them coming down and shouted urgently.
Yang Dongqing’s face darkened even more. He charged forward, using his steel-like body to knock away villagers and clear a path. “Are you sure you didn’t miss anything when checking?”
“I’m sure!” Ye Fanyu yelled back. “I inspected every window in every room, including the bathroom. Everything was shut tight. Villagers can’t break windows or doors—someone from inside must’ve broken that window!”
“Impossible! Who would be insane enough to open the door to death itself?! Unless they don’t want to live anymore!” As he spoke, Yang Dongqing instinctively glanced at Su Mu.
Honestly, if he hadn’t been with Su Mu the whole time, he would absolutely believe Su Mu was capable of doing something that crazy.
Su Mu’s smile deepened. “Looks like we’ve got a traitor in the group.”
“Mr. Su, now’s not the time to look for traitors. We need to break out. This place is no longer safe.”
Su Mu nodded. “Yang Dongqing, clear the way.”
Yang Dongqing’s face darkened, but he didn’t resist the command. He roared, his muscles swelling, and charged into the crowd of villagers. Each heavy step shook the hallway, and with every stomp, a thunderous boom echoed.
He plunged into the mass of villagers. His steel body ignored their attacks, and his arms swung like twin hammers. Every villager he struck ended up with shattered bones and collapsed chests.
However, the villagers didn’t care about injuries or pain. Even with crushed skulls and broken necks, they continued screaming and lunging at him.
In no time, Yang Dongqing was swarmed by villagers, all clawing and biting him madly.
Ye Fanyu and the Viper Gang didn’t even treat Yang Dongqing like a human anymore. They fired at him recklessly, spraying bullets and flames.
Under their combined efforts, the villagers hanging onto Yang Dongqing were blasted away. The cost was just a few extra bullet dents and burn marks on Yang Dongqing’s body.
He might have a steel body, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t feel pain. After the barrage, his face twisted in agony.
“Go!” Su Mu gave the order the moment the villagers were pushed back.
Zhao Chaoyao rushed to Su Mu’s side, pulled out a foldable stretcher, hoisted Su Mu onto it, and ran outside. The others followed closely behind.
No one noticed that, amidst the chaos, the quiet middle-aged man Li Qiang had secretly picked up a pistol from a dead Viper Gang member.
As the group burst out of the house, they were instantly struck by a wave of despair—as if they had plunged into an ice-cold abyss. Outside, an endless sea of villagers surged toward them.
Their faces were expressionless, eyes locked onto the group, brimming with malice so intense it felt like it would overflow.
At some point, a light drizzle began to fall, casting an even heavier gloom over the already bleak world.
Seeing this scene, even Transcendents like Ye Fanyu and Yang Dongqing couldn’t help but reveal despair in their eyes. There were too many villagers. Even if they fought to their last breath, they wouldn’t be able to win.
Yet at this moment, Su Mu felt something he hadn’t experienced in a long time—his heart beating.
In the Dream World, he had sought thrill after thrill, facing countless dangers far worse than this. But he never felt his heart beat—because he knew nothing in that world was real. No matter how reckless he was, he wouldn’t really die.
But this was different. Here… he could really die.
And now, he was starting to feel excited.
