My Divine System Chapter 33
The road to the top
The text has approximately 730 words. To reach the 1000-word mark, I can add more details, scenes, and descriptions to the story. Here’s an expanded version:
As the days went by, the academy’s atmosphere grew more intense. Students were laser-focused on their training, their sights set firmly on the upcoming ranking competition. The usual weekend dungeon runs had been canceled, replaced by the high-stakes tournament that would determine the hierarchy of the academy for the next term. Michael felt a pang of disappointment at the lost opportunity to gather cores and hone his skills in the dungeon, but he refused to let it hold him back.
Instead, Michael threw himself into his training with renewed fervor. His days became a grueling cycle of physical conditioning and mental preparation. He’d rise before dawn, pounding the academy’s winding paths as he pushed his body to its limits. The crisp morning air invigorated him, and the rhythmic pounding of his feet on the ground seemed to clear his mind.
After his morning runs, Michael would attend his classes, his focus unwavering as he absorbed every detail. His instructors’ words were like gold dust to him, and he hung on every syllable. When the classes ended, he’d head straight to the training grounds, where Leia would be waiting for him.
Leia was a force to be reckoned with, her skills honed to perfection. She seemed to take pleasure in pushing Michael to his limits, unleashing new techniques that would leave him reeling. But Michael refused to give up. He studied Leia’s movements, analyzing her strengths and weaknesses, searching for any opening he could exploit. He poured over ancient texts and scrolls, seeking out hidden knowledge and subtle advantages that would give him an edge.
As the days turned into weeks, Michael started to notice a change within himself. His techniques, though still far from the high-tier skills wielded by the academy’s elite, had become stronger, more precise. He’d developed a newfound confidence, a sense that he could take on anyone.
The sparring sessions with Leia continued, each one a test of Michael’s skills and resolve. He’d push himself to the limit, only to be pushed back by Leia’s seemingly impenetrable defense. Yet, with each loss, Michael felt himself growing stronger, his spirit awakened by the challenge.
One day, as they sparred, Michael managed to land a good hit on Leia. She smiled, impressed by his progress. “You’re getting better,” she said. “But don’t get too cocky. You’re still far from my level.”
Michael grinned, feeling a sense of pride and accomplishment. “I know,” he said. “But I’m getting closer.” Leia nodded, her expression serious. “We’ll see about that. Let’s spar again.”
The two of them clashed, their movements lightning-fast as they exchanged blows. Michael felt himself getting into a rhythm, his techniques flowing smoothly as he dodged and weaved around Leia’s attacks. But Leia was relentless, pushing him to his limits and beyond.
Michael stumbled back, his breathing heavy, as Leia landed a series of swift kicks that sent him flying across the training grounds. Michael picked himself up, his pride wounded but his determination unbroken. “You’re still the best,” he said, grinning at Leia.
Leia smiled, her eyes sparkling with amusement. “I’ll always be the best,” she said. “But you’re getting closer. Maybe one day you’ll surpass me.” Michael laughed, feeling a sense of camaraderie with Leia. “I doubt it,” he said. “But I’ll keep trying.”
As the days went by, Michael continued to train, his skills improving with each passing day. He knew that the ranking competition was just around the corner, and he was determined to do well.
Now, with the competition just a day away, Michael felt a mix of excitement and nerves. He’d worked tirelessly to prepare, but he knew that the real test was yet to come. As he stood outside the training grounds, waiting for Leia to arrive for their final sparring session before the tournament, he couldn’t shake off the feeling that something was about to change.
When Leia arrived, they engaged in a intense sparring session. Michael was surprised to find that Leia wasn’t holding back as much as he thought she would. After they finished, Leia approached him with a serious expression.
“Hey Michael, don’t think of challenging me tomorrow,” she said. “I won’t go easy on you.”
Michael smiled, knowing better than to challenge Leia. “Not planning to,” he replied. Leia’s expression softened slightly, and she smiled. “Great. I’ll be watching you, so don’t go out there embarrassing me, okay?”
Michael chuckled, feeling a sense of camaraderie with Leia. “Why are you giving me the whole motivational speech?” he asked, teasing her. Leia blushed slightly before turning to leave. “Whatever you do, don’t challenge a legacy,” she warned, her voice firm, it almost sounded like a threat, before Michael could ask why, she had already left the training hall and he was confused even till now Michael didn’t know if Leia was a legacy herself or not but that didn’t matter.
Even though nick and Leia warned him not to challenge any of the legacy heirs, Michael still wanted to, he had to, he needed to know if he was strong enough to stand up against a legacy and he was very determined to find out tomorrow no matter what, he made that vow to himself.
Michael decided to train more on his technique and even practiced Aura of Ashura skill he had. Aura of Ashura was a very strong technique and it could be said to be hard to learn or practice it.But Michael was able to understand and practice the technique without much problem.
Michael noticed that he had the ability to learn and peer into the techniques more than others, most technique’s that were hard for others to grasp Michael could learn it in few minutes, Michael didn’t know if he was gifted or maybe it was a cheat his system possessed but whatever it was Michael was glad to have it even duo he couldn’t use technique’s that were not tuned to his element he was able to analyze and grab details from them like when Michael was fighting Leia he was able to copy and understand her footwork and movement like as if he was reading her even duo he was not strong enough to beat her.
If the world learnt about how fast Michael was able to learn and practice skills the world might go insane cause if there were genius than Michael was a genius among geniuses.
But all was left was for him to show his talents tomorrow cause he was planning to go out. Michael understood one thing about the awaken community that was the world respected and aid those with power and cast out those who are found to be weak and that was what the academy was planning to do by setting up the ranking and Michael wanted to be at the ruling side of this competition cause the strong keeps getting stronger while the weak are left to die out .
