My Divine system Chapter 36

Chapter 36: Figh of a lunatic

Michael had finally finished all his challenges, a wave of relief washing over him. Now, he decided to sit back and watch as the lower-ranked competitors finished their matches one by one. The atmosphere was intense, but Michael felt oddly calm. Soon, the top 100 would face off in the next round, and luckily for him, he was done facing any challengers for now. Sometimes, it really was a blessing when people underestimated you and thought you were weak—those moments gave him time to rest and prepare while others wore themselves out. He smiled to himself, knowing this quiet advantage might be the key to his next big win.

Michael was the only one in the top 100 to be challenged the rest have yet to even leave there sits.

Just then the lower rankers were done, a few managed to maintain their original spots and a lot more lost and went down the ranking.

Immediately the top 100 begin.

The student ranked 100 changed the student ranked 97 in the academy ranking.

Just immediately the match was about to begin students started crowding the stadium.

As Students ranked 50 and above were now gathering for the much-anticipated competition, filling the arena with a buzz of excitement. The legacies had made their grand appearance, commanding attention wherever they went. Among these influential families were the Frostvale and Emberheart family, known far and wide for their power and prestige. Alongside them, other legacy families arrived, each carrying their own history and reputation, all eager to witness the showdown. The atmosphere thickened with anticipation as rivalries and alliances silently played out in tense glances and whispered conversations. It was clear this competition was more than just a contest it was a stage for legacy, pride, and power to clash.

Just then the fight began.

The two students walked in

Darius Kane stood tall, his chains rattling as he clenched his fists. His body was built for destruction, every vein alive with power.

Across from him, Kael Mercer staggered into the pit, his grin wide, eyes wild, licking the blood already dripping from his lip like it tasted sweet. His uniform was neat, and he muttered nonsense under his breath, like he was having a private joke with himself.

The fight began.

Darius charged like a bull, swinging a fist heavy enough to crush stone. It slammed into Kael’s chest, ribs cracking like twigs. Kael collapsed against the wall, coughing blood.

He wiped his mouth, smearing red across his cheek… then started chuckling.

“Heh… that one… that one rattled my organs,” he said, voice hoarse but amused. “Hit me again… harder!”

He lunged forward, swinging fists wildly, each strike chaotic but fast. He clawed, punched, elbowed, anything to close the gap. His eyes were wide, teeth bloody, laughing even as Darius hammered him back.

Darius seized Kael, lifting him high, and slammed him onto the ground hard enough to crack stone. Kael’s spine bent wrong, his arm twisted until bone tore through the skin.

Kael looked down at his exposed bone… and started giggling hysterically.

“Ohhh… look, it’s sticking out. Pretty, isn’t it?”

He grabbed the bone, snapped it back in place, and stood like nothing happened. Blood streamed down his face, but his grin only widened.

Darius frowned for the first time. He swung again, smashing Kael’s jaw sideways. Blood and teeth flew. Kael’s head lolled to the side — then snapped back with a wet crunch.

Kael leaned in close, whispering through a mouth full of blood:

“You can break me… but you can’t stop me.”

Then he headbutted Darius so hard the Juggernaut’s nose exploded in a spray of crimson.

The fight devolved into madness.

Darius’s punches were earthquakes, each one breaking more of Kael’s body — ribs caved, his shoulder crushed, his eye swelling shut. But Kael didn’t slow down. He screamed with laughter, spitting blood into Darius’s face, clawing at his skin like an animal.

“Bleed with me, Darius! Let’s see who stops first!”

Kael bit down into his opponent’s shoulder, ripping flesh, before smashing his forehead again and again into Darius’s face. Blood poured over both of them, painting them monsters under the torchlight.

Desperate, Darius unleashed his full strength. He grabbed Kael by the legs and swung him like a ragdoll, smashing him into the arena wall until the stone shattered. Kael’s skull cracked open, blood pouring down his face.

But Kael… laughed through it. His voice was raw, guttural, insane.

“Yes! Yes! Break me! I’ll only get closer!”

He crawled along the floor like a beast, limbs twisted, dragging himself toward Darius with a grin stretching ear to ear. Then, with sudden speed, he pounced, tackling Darius to the ground.

While the fight was going on the students didn’t know if the should be grossed out or terrified. The guy was an absolute lunatic.

” Hey sister what about him” Raphael Emberheart pointed at Keal” he looks strong he should be a nice fit for our team”.

” His ability is nice and it allows him not to feel pain but we are here to look for students with potential and not potential lunatics” she said.

” I think you are wrong sister, his already a lunatic ” Raphael said while pointing at the stage.

Kael straddled him, fists raining down like hammers. His knuckles split open, his hands shattered, but he kept punching. Every strike smeared blood across the floor.

“CRACK!” Kael’s broken laugh echoed.

“CRUNCH!” Another tooth flew.

“POP!” An eye began swelling shut.

“Still strong, Juggernaut?!” he howled between blows.

“Still unbreakable?! Huh?! HUH?!”

Darius’s arms slowed, his resistance fading as Kael’s strikes turned his face into a ruin. Finally, his body went limp.

Kael froze, chest heaving. His body was wrecked, blood pouring from everywhere, his grin carved into the broken mess of his face.

He leaned close to Darius’s unconscious ear and whispered, low and chilling:

“Pain is a leash. I cut mine a long time ago.”

Then he rose, swaying, laughing madly as blood dripped from his jaw, his shadow dancing across the arena like that of a monster, not a boy.

Winner Keal.

Everyone decided one thing at that moment never to challenge or even get closer to keal. The guy was just built different, even the legacies we’re shocked as his ability was a full on cheat if he was allowed to grow stronger the guy might probably need a whole mental asylum all to his self.
