Chi Ghost remained silent for a long time, lost in thought. After a while, he spoke again, “If I were you, I would probably choose to flee on my own. “Apologize?” Du Yu was taken aback. “What’s wrong, Chief Judge? Why are you apologizing to me?”

A bitter smile touched Cui Jue’s lips. He lowered his head, pondering for a moment before looking back up at Du Yu. “If I hadn’t made you an Operator back then, perhaps you wouldn’t have ended up in this situation today…”

“Ha, I thought it was something serious…” Du Yu shook his head. “Chief Judge, I don’t regret becoming an Operator. These have been the happiest memories of my life.”

“But…” Cui Jue gritted his teeth, speaking slowly. “But you clearly could have gone to reincarnate. If it hadn’t been for my interference, you could have already been reborn by now…”
