The Burly Man plunged his hands into the ground and, with a slight exertion of force, hoisted a massive boulder. In his grasp, the giant stone seemed as light as cotton.

“You Si, if you win, you can kill or torture me as you please, but do not forget the agreement between us.”

With those words, he used the massive boulder as a weapon and viciously smashed it toward You Si.

Many of the clansmen watched this scene in disbelief, their faces filled with confusion. “Why won’t the Patriarch let us attack?”

As they spoke, You Si had already casually tossed out numerous magical formations across the space. In stark contrast, the Patriarch relied solely on his formidable physical body to continuously maneuver between the deadly arrays.

“This is bad…” Du Yu muttered. “Could this be Xing Tian’s Zhan Clan…? If I remember correctly, everyone here is going to be killed by You Si.”

With those words, the numerous clansmen finally understood the Patriarch’s purpose.

From the very beginning, he knew this was an unwinnable battle. He simply wanted to exchange his own life for the survival of everyone else.

You Si sneered and replied, “I already told you. I do not want your life. I only need you to promise me one thing.”

The Patriarch knew he no longer had the right to choose, so he could only ask, “What exactly is this task?”

“Promise me that you will become ‘Time,'” You Si stated plainly.

“Time…?” The Burly Man was utterly bewildered. “What is Time? And how am I supposed to become it?”

“You do not need to worry about that.” You Si waved her hand, dispelling the crushing formation placed upon the Burly Man. “You just need to say whether you are willing or not.”

The Burly Man pondered for a moment. This “Time” sounded like some sort of ceremonial position. If the other party simply wanted to recruit a strong warrior, then this was truly a blessing in disguise.

“Alright! I agree!” The Burly Man slowly climbed to his feet and declared, “As long as you do not harm my people, I accept your terms!”

“Excellent!!” You Si smiled as she looked at the Burly Man. “Hurry and come with me, we are going to see ‘Time’!”

Du Yu was slightly taken aback. ‘What is going on here?’

‘If someone right in front of her agreed to become Time, then why would You Si continue wandering the mortal world?’

The Burly Man let out a bloodcurdling scream and was instantly torn to shreds by a distorted vortex that materialized in midair.

Blood burst outward in a gruesome shower, dying You Si’s entire face crimson.

By the time You Si snapped back to reality, all she held in her hand was a severed arm.

Du Yu stared in stunned silence for a long time before he finally registered what had happened, immediately gasping sharply.

‘What on earth is You Si doing?!’

‘She does not seem to know that only people with a specific constitution can traverse time! And now, she actually tried to bring a man without the constitution of an “Operator” into “Time’s” cave, causing him to be torn apart alive by the very fabric of space and time!’

You Si furrowed her brow and casually struck out, blasting them to pieces in an instant.

“Everything was fine, so why did you suddenly attack me?” You Si asked, genuinely perplexed. “Your leader was insincere in his own heart. What does his death have to do with me?”

Du Yu’s heart clenched tightly. ‘Just what went wrong with this world to give birth to a lunatic like You Si?’

‘Is it truly okay to let someone like her roam the mortal realm for thousands of years?’

‘They say that shape-shifting Nature Spirits are miraculous creations born from the convergence of the world’s Spiritual Energy.’

‘But does You Si even count as one?! In what way does she resemble a miraculous creation?!’

‘No wonder Xing Tian was radiating murderous intent the very first time he saw her!’
