If Simon could shed a tear, he would. More than anything one could ever imagine.

He had argued over this topic with one of the strongest fist martial artists on earth in his past life.

They dueled without using aether or any skills. Just pure martial art techniques.

And obviously, he won.

He showed why exactly fist users were extremely limited in what they could do, and after that day, he fell more in love with the sword.

He wholeheartedly missing swinging a sword and having a sword by his waist.

Unfortunately for him, he encountered a damned chaos wraps that prevented him from using a sword or even any weapon for that matter.

’Sigh.’

’It is what it is.’

Despite his thoughts, his expression remained the same.

He could see the sheer disappointment and disgust in the eyes of Instructor Amahi, but what could he do?

It wasn’t his fault.

Eventually, she released a disappointed sigh before speaking.

“If you’re adamant about treading the fist path, then it is what it is.”

She released another disappointed sigh, then she looked at the remaining Initiates.

She clapped.

“Alright guys. So, this is the end of today’s class.”

“I’m sure for many of you, if not all of you, this must have been your first time entering a battlefield.”

“Many of you did not last one minute on the battlefield. You made mistakes, and I believe you’ve realized your mistakes by now.”

She swept her gaze across the first years, and some nodded with embarrassed expressions behind their masks.

As for Simon, he raised a curious brow.

’She’s not going to ask me about how I healed myself?’

Coincidentally, one of his classmates raised her hand the moment he had this thought.

“Speak.” Instructor Amahi said to the girl.

The girl lowered her hand, then she pointed at Simon.

“How was he able to heal himself at that ridiculous speed? Is it his ability or was it a glitch from the array?”

The other Initiates nodded because they were also curious about this.

Out of everything Simon displayed, his regenerative ability was what shocked majority of the first years.

If Simon had such a terrifying ability and it was not only limited to the simulation world but in the physical world, how would they ever kill him or defeat him?

He could easily recover from any injury they caused to him.

It was terrifying for many of the first years to even think about.

All eyes were on Instructor Amahi, and even Simon was looking at her, waiting to see what she would say.

However…

“Why don’t you ask him?”

… She forwarded the question to him.

“Hmm?”

Simon was taken aback, and it showed in his reaction.

He looked at Instructor Amahi, and he saw that she was looking back at him with a neutral gaze.

He was confused, but in the next moment, he heard a voice in his head.

“Don’t tell them the real method you used to heal yourself. Tell them something else.”

Simon’s eyes widened slightly before going back to normal as quickly as it widened.

He didn’t have to ask her why she did not want him to say the truth because he could think of a few.

And the most likely reason is because…

’If many of them are able to connect with their sea of consciousness while in the Mind War Theatre Array and heal themselves like me, they would become reckless and it would affect them in the long run.’

’They would stop avoiding dangerous attacks because they know that they could heal from it. They would choose to sacrifice a limb for the kill because they could regrow it very easily.’

’Their battle prowess would increase, but in the wrong direction. In the real world, they would become suicidal maniacs, and it would be too late before they realize that their method of fighting is terrible.’

’They might feel a lot of pain in the simulation, but it’s not all of it. Only half of it. Since they’re demons, they would get used to it with time.’

Simon narrowed his eyes slightly as he looked at his classmates.

’To prevent such a thing from happening, she wants me to hide the truth. That’s good for them, but bad for me.’

’I can obviously not say it’s one of my abilities since it would make my future enemies in the academy and clan to believe that I have a regeneration ability, and I don’t. It would just make life more difficult for me.’

’What a hassle this demoness has put me in.’

Simon had the urge to release a frustrated sigh, but he didn’t.

He took one last glance at Instructor Amahi.

’And I don’t want to be on her bad side. She seems okay and doesn’t seem to have a prejudice against me. They’re rare in the academy and clan.’

Few seconds later, he finally thought of what to say.

“I don’t have a skill, an artifact, or a racial ability that allows me to heal myself. But if you want to know how I healed myself, figure it out yourselves and prove me wrong that you’re all not dumb.”

The expressions of the first years changed, and one of them could no longer take it.

It was fine the first time Simon insulted them. They all took it and let it go.

But insulting them for the second time?

That was going too far.

“Who do you think you are?! You’re not even-“

Simon indifferently looked at the first year, and the moment he saw Simon’s chilling indifferent eyes, his words got stuck in his throat.

There was something about Simon’s eyes that terrified him.

Coupled with what he saw Simon do in the simulation… he was subconsciously fearful of Simon.

And he was not the only one.

The first year decided to shut up and back away slowly for fear of his life.
