The Broken Halo Chapter 366

Simon lightly raised a brow when he saw this.

He had been expecting his classmates to get all riled up and angry at his statements, but their reactions surprised him.

’Ohh… They saw what I did in the simulation and now they’re terrified of me?’

Simon chuckled internally.

’That’s a pity. It happened so quickly. Hopefully, they grow some spine since I might need to heavily extort one or two of them.’

Instructor Amahi clapped after Simon had these thoughts, drawing everybody’s attention back to her.

“Alright everybody, let’s move on from Broken Halo. We have other things to discuss.”

Simon and some of the first years looked at her with curiosity and confusion.

“Have you forgotten about the rewards I mentioned?”

Many of the first years looked at Simon, and they were confused.

They had been watching Simon, and they know that he failed his mission, so what reward does she want to give out?

Instructor Amahi could guess what was in their heads, and she could not help but release a disappointed sigh.

’These kids were so fixated on Broken Halo to the point that they forgot their other elite classmates.

“Sunless, Dusk, Dawn, Storm Reaper, Flaming Star, and Ice Queen. The six of you, step out to receive your rewards.”

Many of the first years blinked, and when all six Initiates stepped out to receive their rewards, they all had expressions of realization.

They were embarrassed when they realized that they all believed that if Simon was not able to achieve his mission, then no other person in their class could.

They had forgotten that there were other missions, and some missions were even easier than Simon’s.

As the six Initiates stepped out and approached Instructor Amahi, one of the Initiates began to clap for the six winners.

At first, none clapped, but others began to follow.

The reason why the first Initiate began to clap is solely because he hated Simon.

Unlike the others who were more fearful of him and were subconsciously more afraid of him, his hatred for Simon deepened with every achievement and success Simon made.

Seeing that there were other menbers of their class that achieved something Simon could not, he wanted to take the glory, fame, and attention away from Simon.

Even if he could not get the attention himself, he would rather allow somebody else other than Simon to get the glory and attention.

Aside from his hatred from Simon, he hated the fact that the achievements of the six winners of their class was being downplayed all because of Simon.

In a normal setting, all attention would have been on these six.

It did not take long for majority of the class to start clapping for the six.

Instructor Amahi, Simon, some Initiates, and even the six Initiates themselves were surprised by the fact that the class was clapping for them.

’That’s surprising.’

Simon raised his brows at this scene, but he didn’t mind.

Instructor Amahi frowned because it was noisy, but she chose not to stop them since it would be a good boost of morale and motivation to the class.

’All attention has been on Broken Halo. The others deserve some attention too.’

After having this thought, she gave a thousand hell stones each to the six Initiates, then she sent them back and gestured for the class to be quiet.

“Our classes are going to be like this from now on, but I’ll be correcting each of you on the mistakes you made in the array.”

“I’ll also be teaching you other things on what you should know about war, the rules, respect and so on.”

“Also, you would not be facing the Bulwark Clan all the time. There are other battles you’ll witness and be a part of through the Mind War Theatre Array.”

“So, buckle up Initiates. Cause many of you are going to experience a whole lot of pain and death.”

Some of the Initiates who died in a traumatic manner shivered when they recalled their deaths in the simulation.

It wouldn’t be a surprise if they developed a trauma for the Mind War Theatre Array or the Bulwarks.

Clap!

“Alright everybody. Class has ended. You may go.”

Many released sighs of relief and joy the moment they heard this.

They were truly exhausted after all the classes they’ve had today.

They all turned and began to approach the door of the classroom.

Simon had been sitting on the array the entire time, so he stood and was about to take a step forward, but Instructor Amahi came in front of him.

He raised a brow in confusion.

“Is there a problem, instructor?”

Instructor Amahi stared into Simon’s eyes with a neutral gaze, and after a few seconds, she spoke.

“You were smart when you chose the northern tower over the towers. At a glance, it looks like the best choice, but that tower gave us a lot of problem back then.”

“If you had entered the tower, you would have had to face numerous defensive formations.”

Simon blinked in confusion.

Though he had no idea why Instructor Amahi was telling him this, he picked up on something.

“You were in that battle?”

Instructor Amahi chuckled softly.

“I guess it’s not surprising that you were able to pick up on that.” She nodded slightly. “Yeah. I was in that battle.”

“If you went to the southern tower, you would have most likely met me there in the array. I was a lieutenant back then, so you could have gotten a mission from me and it would not have been difficult.”

“Sunless was lucky to have met me. It was through me she was able to get a mission… which is actually kind of weird.”

Simon was surprised by this, and he was curious.

“So, what rank are you now?”

Instructor Amahi smiled behind her mask.

“I’m a commander now. You’re talented, Broken Halo. Very talented, and I don’t know why the clan has made you a slave.”

“When war comes, I’ll request for you to join my company. Hopefully, it is accepted since you’re a dark horse.”

Simon smiled, and said perfunctory. “That would be nice. Thank you.”

Instructor Amahi knew that he didn’t actually mean it, but she didn’t mind.

He turned and was about to leave, but Instructor Amahi called him back.

“Hey.”

He turned, then he saw that Instructor Amahi’s right hand was outstretched.

“Good job on the save back there. You did well.”

Simon was slightly confused, but he shook her hand nevertheless.

The moment he did, he saw that a thousand merits had been transferred into his account.

He was stunned.

She let go of his hand and began to walk away.

“Make sure to attend our next class by the way. I’ll be disappointed if you don’t.”

Simon did not respond and just kept on staring at her back as she left.

“I see.”
