Extras Path The Eternal Frost Monarch Chapter 344
Four great houses[ … words ]
[ … words ]
A male voice came from the entrance of the shop.
Everyone froze as a Lunar Elf man walked into the shop. He had silver hair, pale blue skin, and sharp blue eyes.
Noah’s survival instincts activated instantly as he saw the man. His words instantly gave Noah ideas as who he was.
So he didn’t wait. He turned around and immediately dashed out of the shop, passing the elf man so quickly that the man’s robes fluttered in the wind.
“Huh?”
The elf man blinked. “Why was that young man in such a hurry?”
He turned around.
Behind him, Noah’s group was already following. One by one, they politely bowed their heads toward him as they passed.
The elf man stared after them.
“Hm…”
He glanced at their uniforms. “Novaris Academy students, perhaps.”
He shrugged and turned back toward the shop. Then he noticed his wife.
She was standing behind the counter with an extremely red face, her pointed ears twitching nervously.
The elf man’s expression immediately changed. “What happened?”
He walked toward her. His wife looked at him. Then she looked around the shop as though she had suddenly returned from another world.
“Where is that young man?”
“What?”
“Where did he go?” She looked toward the entrance. “He made me feel young again!”
Her husband stared at her in confusion. “What are you talking about, dear?!”
She covered her face again. “I don’t know!”
The poor elf man spent the next several minutes trying to calm his wife down and figure out exactly what had happened.
Meanwhile Noah and his friends were already several streets away.
Noah looked over his shoulder. No one was chasing them. He finally let out a sigh of relief.
“That was close.”
Arisha immediately burst out laughing. “Close?! You nearly flirted with a married woman!”
“I didn’t know she was married!”
“That doesn’t make it better!” Damien started laughing as well.
Leonard shook his head. “I can’t believe I witnessed that.”
Kaelan sighed. “I told you. He really doesn’t care.”
Lyria simply smiled helplessly. “At least you apologized, Noah.”
Noah nodded seriously. “Exactly.” He placed a hand over his chest. “I’m a responsible gentleman.”
Everyone stared at him.
“…”
Arisha slowly raised an eyebrow.
“Noah.”
“Yes?”
“Don’t ever say that again.”
“Why?!”
The entire group burst into laughter.
Noah could only sigh.
“And now I am more sure that you definitely flirt with Lady Akari in that realm.” Arisha continued her laugh.
Noah couldn’t help but click his tongue in annoyance.
Somehow, despite everything. He had survived another day without getting beaten by a jealous husband.

Noah simply wanted to learn more about the Lunar Elves personally. Unfortunately, there were very few of them living in the city.
He had tried to talk to the elf lady in the perfume shop, but unfortunately, things had gone wrong in a rather strange way.
Who would have thought that his words and actions would have such an impact on a woman who was actually married? It wasn’t entirely his fault, either.
He hadn’t gotten the chance to learn anything about them yet. Asking someone directly was much easier than going to the library and reading about them, especially since Noah hated studying history.
Also Elves had a much lower birth rate compared to humans, largely because of their extraordinarily long lifespans. They had children much later than humans, which naturally resulted in a smaller overall population.
Elythraen also didn’t follow the hierarchical monarchy system used by the human empires.
Instead, the entire nation was ruled by a single monarch—the Queen, or in some eras, a King.
However, beneath the royal family stood four Great Houses.
Much like the four great dukedoms that served under the Emperor of the Aurellian Empire, these four houses governed the major regions of Elythraen and represented its different elven races.
The House Selunaris ruled the southern region, where the Lunar Elves lived. They were known for their mastery of Frost and Lunar Magic.
Then there was House Marisyl, which ruled the eastern coastal region of the continent. They were the great house of the Sea Elves and controlled much of Elythraen’s eastern waters.
In the west was House Nytheris, the great house of the Dark Elves.
And in the north stood House Eldrathil, which governed the vast territories inhabited by the Wood Elves.
Above all four Great Houses stood the royal family—the House Sylvaine, composed primarily of High Elves, also known as Sun Elves.
Noah had researched most of this on his phone the previous night.
Thankfully, the planet’s network was available almost everywhere thanks to the satellites orbiting above them, so even in Elythraen, accessing information through the internet wasn’t a problem.
Unfortunately, the information available online was mostly general knowledge. Noah hadn’t been able to find much about the deeper history of the different elven races or their Great Houses.
But once again, the Lunar Elves had caught his attention.
’Lunar Magic… What exactly is it?’
The question had been bothering him ever since he learned about them.
“What are you thinking about so deeply, Noah?”
“Huh? Nothing, dear.”
“H-Hey! Don’t call me dear, Noah!”
Lyria’s face immediately flushed red as she lightly smacked his shoulder with her palm.
“Hehe. Sorry~”
Noah simply grinned before continuing to walk with the others.
The group wandered through the beautiful streets of Lunathiel, taking in the scenery as they explored the elven capital.
“I’m really interested in learning more about the elves,” Noah said. “Do you know where Marina is? She would have been a great help. I heard her family works directly under the royal family and is quite close to them.”
“Yes, they are,” Arisha replied with a nod.
“She’s with Ken. I saw those two together this morning,” Damien added casually.
Noah’s expression remained unchanged.
But inwardly, he sighed. ’So, there really is something going on between those two. Ken must be upto something. This is his best chance to meet the Queen. Is he trying to inform her about upcoming danger?’
All Noah could do was wonder and form theories.

[A/N: Sigh, curse me!! I really making world more complicated by this. My own brain now hurting. Hope I don’t make it more complicated by loads of information. Pray for it.]
