“So, when was the time you came to this city? And from where?”

Noah leaned casually against the counter of a small perfume shop, his eyes wandering over the colorful bottles displayed behind the counter.

Today was second day of their field trip and instructor had allow them to roam the city. So the group came to the shop while exploring near by places.

“It was about twenty years ago. We came from the southern region, from the territory of Silunara. It is one of the domains controlled by the Great Houses of the Elven Kingdom, House Selunaris. Silunara has been the homeland of the Moon Elves for centuries, and House Selunaris has ruled over the region for generations.”

The woman standing behind the counter smiled gently.

She was a beautiful Lunar Elf with sky-blue skin, shoulder-length silver hair, and striking glacier-blue eyes. Her appearance was youthful enough to make her look like she was in her early twenties.

She wore an elegant white robe with a V-shaped neckline, revealing just enough of her figure to give the outfit a graceful yet alluring appearance.

Her eyes remained fixed on Noah, clearly amused by the young man’s interest in her.

“Twenty years ago?” Noah tilted his head. “My, my… You must have been such a cute little girl back then.”

The woman immediately laughed, placing a hand against her cheek. “Oh, no, no. I wasn’t a child at all. I was already an adult back then.”

“Haha, is that so?” Noah looked her up and down before smiling. “It’s just hard to tell from your appearance. You look like a woman in her twenties.”

“My, you certainly have a sweet tongue.” She covered her smile with one hand.

“But you should know that elves have long lifespans. We age much more slowly than humans. Even a normal elf who never chase the power and increase his core rank can live upto 200 years.”

“Of course, I’m aware of that.”

Noah nodded. “Even so, you look like someone who should still be attending the academy rather than running a shop.”

The Lunar Elf’s cheeks immediately turned slightly pink. “Come now. You’re going to make me blush.”

Noah smiled. At that moment, he had completely forgotten the vow he had made only yesterday.

’Enough chasing beautiful women. From now on, I need to be a proper gentleman.’

Apparently, that resolution had lasted less than a day.

Several meters away, his friends were watching the entire scene with completely deadpan expressions.

Arisha crossed her arms and sighed. “Just yesterday, he told me he had changed and wouldn’t chase after women anymore.”

Lyria stood beside her, watching Noah with a small pout. Her golden hair was tied into her usual braid, which rested over her shoulder. It was a hairstyle Noah secretly liked quite a lot. “He really is a playboy.”

“I always knew he was,” Emma said with a firm nod.

Leonard clenched his teeth as he watched Noah flirt so effortlessly. “I wish I had that level of confidence. How does Noah do it? Every time I try talking to a beautiful woman, I lose my voice.”

“I don’t know.” Damien shook his head. “Maybe he’s just built differently.”

Kaelan, however, calmly observed Noah for a moment before speaking. “It’s simple.” Everyone looked at him. “Noah doesn’t care whether they reject him or look at him badly. He’s doing it for fun in the first place.”

Kaelan shrugged. “He doesn’t actually expect anything from them. That’s why he can say whatever he wants without getting nervous.”

Leonard’s eyes widened. “Wow…” He clenched his fist. “That bastard is actually enjoying himself.”

Damien nodded thoughtfully. “I suppose that’s true. The man doesn’t back down even in front of my master and tease her.”

He shook his head. “And sometimes he even gets beaten for it. He truly is impressive in his own strange way.”

“Oi, oi.” Noah who was flirting turned toward them with an annoyed expression. “I can hear all of you, you know.”

He clicked his tongue. “Tch.”

His friends immediately looked away.

Noah turned back toward the Lunar Elf. For some reason, he decided to make things even worse.

He gently took her hand. Then, with exaggerated elegance, he bent forward and kissed the back of it. The woman’s eyes widened.

“O-oh my…” Her face immediately turned bright red. “Th-this… What is the meaning of this, young man?!”

Noah straightened with a charming smile. “It’s a human custom.” He released her hand. “We men do that when we meet a particularly beautiful lady who should be cherished.”

The woman covered her burning face with both hands. “Oh, goodness! That’s so lewd! holding my hand and kissing it! How can you do such indecent thing!”

She looked like she wanted to hide behind the counter. “Young man, I’m dying of embarrassment!”

Then she suddenly remembered something. “My husband would be furious if he knew about this!”

Noah froze. His eyes widened. He immediately released her hand completely and took several steps backward.

“I-I apologize!” He bowed deeply. “I didn’t know you were married.”

The Lunar Elf remained frozen for a some second, her cheeks were still bright red.

“I-I am a married elf…” She lowered her hands slightly. “And we elves are very loyal…” Her voice became quieter. “But…”

She touched her chest. “My heart just beat faster because of a human boy…”

She shook her head rapidly. “No! No, no, no! I’m such a terrible woman!”

Noah stared at her. ’Why do I suddenly feel like I’ve entered a romance novel where I’m the villain?’

He slowly backed away. Then he turned toward his friends.

Arisha and Damien were desperately trying to hold back their laughter.

Emma and Leonard were completely frozen, their jaws hanging open and their eyes wide.

Kaelan simply shook his head with the exhausted expression of a man who had already given up trying to understand Noah.

Lyria, meanwhile, clasped both hands together in prayer. “Please, God, forgive Noah for his sins…” Her expression was sad, as if apologizing for her own kid. “He’s still young and a little foolish.”

Noah’s face twitched. ’Why am I being prayed for like I’m some kind of criminal?!’

He wanted to curse at all of them. But then he looked at Lyria’s innocent expression. His irritation immediately disappeared.

’She’s just too cute…’

Noah quickly shook the thought away.

“Hey, guys.”

He forced a smile. “Let’s get out of here before something worse happens.”

Just then, “Dear, I’m back.”
