He knew that Jiang Qing’e had worked hard to plan everything out for him and thus, he didn’t beat around the bush—he directly reached out and grabbed it. With this item in hand, his dream of reaching the Duke Stage was right before him.

Just as he received the Divine Spirit Treasure Tree, the blood-red flower bud began to let out loud screeching wails as its energy source had been cut off.

The sound waves propagated in every direction.

Zhao Xiuyuan’s gaze flickered. “I’m afraid we will have to properly discuss how we plan to allocate those two Foundational Spirit Treasures.”

Now that the situation was under control, his avaricious intentions were allowed to flourish, and the treasures were simply too tempting.

Li Zhihuo frowned. “There’s no need to be anxious.”

Although Li Luo and Jiang Qing’e’s power placed some stress on him, they were united against all external parties. “The fact that we were able to overcome this was mostly due to Li Luo and Jiang Qing’e’s contributions. They should have priority in selecting their spoils.”

Zhao Xiuyuan smirked coldly. “The two of them might have contributed significantly, but does that mean that the rest of us have not? Without us holding down the fort, could they have managed to obtain those Foundational Spirit Treasures?”

Qin Beiming frowned as he heard the two bicker. “Zhao Xiuyuan, now is not the time to speak of such things. When things calm down, we can discuss this again.”

Zhao Xiuyuan shrugged. “So long as you remember. I’m just worried that Li Luo and Jiang Qing’e might directly assume that those two Foundational Spirit Treasures belong to them.”

Qin Beiming didn’t say anything, but he also understood what a thorny situation distributing the Foundational Spirit Treasures would be. There was bound to be some sort of conflict or dispute breaking out. Those treasures were extremely attractive to him, much less the others.

However, they had to wait for the situation to be resolved before anything else was done.

And just when everyone thought that the danger was behind them, Li Luo raised his head and glanced at the gigantic blood-red flower bud. It had started emanating an unsettling aura.

“Why don’t we destroy that thing now?”

Although they had stunted its growth, the object was still a massive ticking time bomb. The faster they got rid of it, the quicker they would be able to feel at ease.

Jiang Qing’e expressed her agreement.

But just as the two were about to take action, the small, black snake on Li Luo’s wrist suddenly stood up. All of her scales were flared upside down.

She was staring into the void not far away as she said solemnly, “Be careful, Li Luo! Something terrifying is approaching!”

Li Luo heard her, but he remained resolute.

“Ignore whatever is coming. Sister Qing’e, we will take action before it arrives!”

There was no hint of hesitation, just a growing urge to end things.

Jiang Qing’e understood what he was getting at. No matter what was to come, the most important task at hand was to destroy the flower bud. Thus, the two roused up all of their resonant power in an attack that they blasted towards the flower bud.

However, the two beams of resonant power were suddenly halted by a black vortex that suddenly appeared in the void just a hundred feet away from the flower bud.

When the two resonant power attacks came into contact with the vortex, only a subtle popping sound was heard. It was akin to throwing a stone into the depths of a bottomless lake. Then the attacks vanished without a trace.

Jiang Qing’e and Li Luo’s hearts sank at this sight.

They turned to the side and spotted a pocket of ripples that were gradually emerging not too far away. Corruption poured out of it like a tide.

A vortex made of corruption then appeared in that spot.

Then a frightening aura radiated from the vortex like a storm, enveloping the entirety of the Other Dominion.

The void began to shake with incredible intensity.

This sudden change also caused Qin Beiming, Li Zhihuo, and the rest to jump in fright. Their gloomy expressions were turned towards the vortex made of corruption, and their previously relaxed bodies turned tense.

“What mighty undulations of corruption!” Qin Beiming commented.

From what he could sense, it was probably comparable to an eighth-grade Duke!

“Damn it! How is it not over?” Zhao Xiuyuan’s expression had turned steely green as he ranted. This sudden change had rattled him. Just where had this terrifying True Devil popped up from?

Wasn’t a True Devil at this stage only supposed to appear in the large Other Dominions found in the depths of the Treasure Domain? Why was there one in the outer region?

Li Zhihuo clenched his teeth as he asked, “Where are our high-grade Dukes?”

There were many high-grade Dukes from the numerous powers, and all of them had made a beeline towards the depths of the Treasure Domain. How had none of them appeared?

“I’m afraid they might have encountered trouble,” Qin Beiming bitterly replied. He simply couldn’t fathom just how big the situation was if even the four Heavenly Emperor bloodlines had been dragged into it.

When the Treasure Domain first opened, a disturbance had taken place in the depths and the numerous high-grade Dukes from all the different powers had quickly rushed over to it. Perhaps that was when everything had started to go wrong.

At this point, everyone could hear footsteps coming out of the vortex. They could all see a single figure casually walking out.

A few moments later, the corruption dissipated and the figure became clear to everyone.

There were looks of shock in everyone’s eyes.

Even Li Luo and Jiang Qing’e were taken aback. Meanwhile, the people from the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Qin were in complete disbelief, especially Qin Yi. Her eyes were blank as she stared at the person coming out of the corruption vortex. Her usually calm demeanor had been shattered and her pretty face was drained pale with horror.

At the same time, she spluttered, “Mo… Mother?”
