A trail of bright red blood spilled from the corner of Joanna’s mouth.

“Treacherous woman, I want you to pay with your life for my Five-Colored Phoenix Lord!” Knox still had no intention of letting her go. He raised his palm to charge again.

Just as he prepared to follow up and finish Joanna off, a large, powerful hand clamped down on his shoulder in a death grip.

Knox froze slightly and turned his head.

Leo. The one who stopped him in the nick of time.

“Senior Leo, do not stop me!” Knox roared, absolutely furious.

“Today, I absolutely must kill this woman!”

“In your dreams!” Leo no longer displayed the amiable demeanor from moments ago. His expression was incomparably cold as he shouted sternly.

“If you want to kill Lady Joanna, you’ll have to step over this old man’s dead body first!”

Knox was instantly dumbfounded. “Senior Leo, what… what did you say?”

Before he could even react, the ground beneath his feet trembled violently.

A majestic, overbearing coercive pressure crashed down from the sky like a torrential downpour. It completely enveloped him. Rendering him utterly unable to move a single inch.

Knox shuddered.

He turned his head stiffly.

Alex slowly raised his head. His eyes glared deadly at Knox. Raging fires burning within them.

Knox shuddered all over. But he still forcefully suppressed his terror and mustered his courage.

“If you want to blame someone, you can only blame yourself for being too lax in disciplining your Hale family disciples!”

He pointed at Joanna and shrieked. “This woman killed my Five-Colored Phoenix Lord and stole the Phoenix Blood Essence for her own use!”
