Grand Ancestral Bloodlines Chapter 1524

Ryu zipped through the void, his speed on another level than what he had displayed previously. As he did, he looked through his spatial devices and shook his head. He had been very good on the spatial ring front for quite a long time, but he suddenly felt that he wouldn’t have that luxury for a while, not until he was able to rob some richer people than the disciples he had just killed.

The Golden Moon World wasn’t exactly that large to begin with, and its greatest strength could be said to be the fact it could house living things. However, in terms of size, it would be hard-pressed to be called a small ring in the Seventh Heaven. In addition, to make this matter worse, due to the suppression of the Seventh Heaven, the size of the world had actually shrunk considerably.

Due to this, although Aika had slaughtered a lot of beasts for him to take on the road, the actual number he could keep was quite limited, and that was also taking into account leaving some space for the little woman.

The good news was that the spatial device could at least survive. If it was any weaker, it might have collapsed entirely when he first stepped on the Eighth Heaven. But now, he was in a bit of a bind.

There were his eyes, of course, but how could he expose his Heavenly Pupils so easily?

Of course, there was another problem he was facing too. Without Old Wan, how was he even supposed to be able to cook this meat? It felt like the world wanted him to starve.

‘Let’s go watch the situation.’

Ryu’s figure continued to flash forward until he entered the range of the Raging Inferno Sect. His eyes narrowed almost immediately.

There was a veil around this region, and he had only just stepped through the outer ring. He wasn’t found or anything, but he could feel that he was being “monitored.” He had a feeling if he traveled far enough into their territory, he might end up being branded and then surrounded from all sides.

Ryu didn’t believe that this was a formation the Sect usually had activated. The sheer amount of God Crystals it was likely taking to keep it active would be enough to make even a Sect of this level hurt. That meant that they probably only put it up due to the ongoing war.

In truth, Ryu didn’t think that he could just stroll into a Sect of this level even if he could enter the void. It wasn’t like he was the only expert with this ability, and there was no way Sects of this level who had enemies everywhere wouldn’t have contingencies against it.

Still, he had wanted to get a lay of the land and even make some plans for the future by understanding his enemies just a little bit better, but reality slapped him in the face.

‘This will be… more difficult than I thought. Do I have a way to counter this?’

Ryu went through the Unbalance Art formations again and landed on one. But eventually, he shook his head.

The formation was called the Shadowless Trace Formation, and it was the only true hiding type formation among them. Well, the Sightless Eyes Formation could also somewhat fall into this category, but its applications were a hint weirder, while Shadowless Trace was a pure concealment type.

The problem with Shadowless Trace, though, was that much like the other Unbalance Formations, it had weird requirements to trigger.

Sightless Eyes required hyper qi volatility, the more raging qi there was, the better it was at functioning. The Dozen Star Blaze formation required twelve highly specific and almost nebula points that would take a normal Ruin Master months to figure out, and it could only display its greatest power when unleashed in sets of twelve.

As for this Shadowless Trace Formation, its requirement was less weird at first, but then became more weird the more you thought about it.

Shadowless Trace’s requirement was quite odd. Essentially, the larger the area the formation was placed around, the better the hiding would be. For one, this was completely backward. Any formation master knew that it was best to keep your hiding formations to as small an area as possible as this was the best way to prevent flaws.

The larger the area you were trying to conceal, the more chances there would be a defect because there was a larger area to cover. In addition, just logically, a hiding formation wasn’t a defensive formation. Usually, most could just stroll right in unbeknownst to themselves. Obviously, then, the larger the area, the more likely someone would be to accidentally stumble into the area you were trying to conceal. Then, at that point, what would be the point?

But the introduction to the formation was quite clear. Larger equaled better, there was no mincing words about it.

Thus, the problem Ryu was facing was obvious. He obviously only needed the formation to cover himself, but if he used it on such a small scale, it wouldn’t be strong enough to counter the Raging Inferno Sect’s detection formation.

If he took a step back and threw out all forms of propriety, making a much larger formation than he needed, how would he sneak around to get a lay of the land?

According to his calculations, he would need to make the formation at least a hundred meters wide just to counter this outer ring of the formation. Assuming the formation got stronger the deeper you went, he might have to form one of several kilometers wide just to conceal himself.

At that point, even if the Shadowless Trace Formation was a defensive formation as well, he’d be screwed. Once the first person accidentally bumped into the barrier, he would be in an all-out struggle to keep his life.

Ryu’s figure vanished, and he stepped outside of the bounds of the Sect’s outer ring, his eyes narrowing.

‘What to do?’

It seemed that he might have to just leave this place and try to find other methods.

Synopsis

Ryu is the kind of genius that appears once in ten thousand years. Maybe longer. He was born with four Grand Ancestral Bloodlines flowing through his veins. The Lightning Qilin. The Fire Dragon. The Ice Phoenix. The Fire Phoenix. Four legendary bloodlines that should have made him unstoppable.

But that is only the beginning. His body houses an Ancestral Grade Bone Structure known as the Ice Jade Crystal Bones, paired with Ancestral Grade Meridians called the Chaotic Silk Meridians. His eyes carry the First Ranked Heavenly Pupils, the Mysteries of Heaven and Earth Pupils, a gift that allows him to see truths that others cannot even dream of.

By all rights, Ryu should be standing at the peak of the cultivation world. He should be the one that everyone else measures themselves against. He should be the nightmare of his enemies and the pride of his ancestors.

None of it matters.

Ryu was born with a False Spiritual Foundation. For those who understand cultivation, this is a death sentence. All of his bloodlines, his bones, his meridians, his eyes, they become useless without a proper foundation to support them. Talent without a vessel is just wasted potential. His genius is a cruel joke played by the heavens.

There is only one hope left for him. A single path forward in a universe that wants him to fail.

The Sky God's Spiritual Foundation. It is the greatest natural treasure in all of existence, a foundation so powerful that it would make even the gods bow. But nothing in this world comes for free. The sacrifices required to gain the approval of such an entity are unimaginable. Most who try are broken beyond repair. Those who fail are erased from history.

Ryu does not care about the cost. He does not care about the danger. He looks at his false foundation, at the bloodlines that mock him, at a world that has already written him off as a failure. And he makes a choice.

He will take his fate into his own hands. He will chase the Sky God's Spiritual Foundation, or he will die trying. There is no middle ground. There is no backup plan. Only the climb and the flame.

Some said he was destined for greatness. Some said he was destined for nothing. Ryu intends to prove them both wrong.
