Grand Ancestral Bloodlines Chapter 1907

Judgement[ … words ]

[ … words ]

Those on the outside felt a cold shiver run through them. They had heard of this man’s evil, but this was the first time that they were truly seeing it for themselves.

Even for those that had been personal witnesses to things from back then, Silent Quibus had never gone so “mask off” before any one of them.

The main issue, and the crux of the matter that they had only just grasped, was the fact that Ryu had truly already brought Silent Quibus to the brink. He was entirely unable to defeat Ryu unless he brought out his most disgusting means, and if he was going to do so, then he might as well go to the greatest extreme.

The aura of a Lower Founding Dao radiated out and it made many of them begin to choke, and many more were made to vomit.

The aura of this Founding Dao was too disgusting and it revealed even to the most insensitive people just what kind of grotesque being Silent Quibus was. A person like him shouldn’t be allowed a good ending.

Ryu still didn’t respond, but this only made Silent Quibus’ laughter more eerie and grating to the ears. It was as though he preferred if Ryu remained exactly like this. The more arrogant he was, the better.

Slowly, Ryu’s [Heavenly Dao Tree] began to vanish. The result was that more and more of Silent Quibus’ corpse puppets rushed forward, closing the gap on Ryu.

All the while, they had been stopped by Ryu’s Visualization only for this sudden change to catch even Silent Quibus off guard. Men like Ryu certainly wouldn’t give up so easily, but when he looked into Ryu’s eyes…

Silent Quibus felt a shudder.

There was no more rage, no flickering flame, there was just a deadpan gaze.

Ryu had a method of killing Silent Quibus in a single strike. This projection of a Transcended wouldn’t be able to withstand even a single pulse of his Shrine copy.

However, that wasn’t nearly enough. Not only was it not satisfying in the least, but it also wouldn’t leave the mark he wanted to be left.

Just as slowly as his [Heavenly Dao Tree] was fading, a new phenomenon was beginning to manifest.

Ryu’s Birthed Phenomena took the shape of his body, towering into the skies even taller than the looming shadow behind Silent Quibus.

Silent Quibus looked into the air and suddenly, Ryu’s Peak Founding Dao seemed to solidify. The world shook and trembled as Ryu’s eight trigram diagram expanded violently to accommodate this existence.

Ryu stood in place, his face pale and his chest heaving for breath, but he didn’t seem to notice as his expression remained just as deadpan as before.

The moment his Birthed Phenomena solidified, his Shrine Mountain Manifestation took shape as well.

The two became so large that it was hard to explain in just words alone. Ryu’s Birthed Phenomena had already been obscenely large to begin with, but when this mountainous Natural Enlightenment took shape, it grew large enough that his Birthed Phenomena was able to take a seat of meditation on its very peak.

Qi in the air rolled and rumbled, shaking and quaking as an explosion of colors echoed out in all directions.

Ryu only became paler, but he didn’t stop for even a moment.

The corpse puppets rushing toward him were all blown back, many shattering into pieces of rotting flesh without even the chance to approach him.

Everything in the world seemed to be laid on the palm of his hand.

Soon, the array of colors solidified into just three… gold, black, and an icy blue.

Giving one of his souls free reign over the choice of techniques to create, and the support of a perfected understanding of three elements, was bound to bring forth results… In fact, it had created not just a technique, but a foundation of Dao Method that already felt impossible to describe.

Without Ryu’s Birthed Phenomena and Natural Enlightenment, just the intention to summon this technique would blow his body to pieces. This, however… was one of the truest manifestations of [One Above All].

Sitting on the mountain above, lofty and tall, he was truly on the highest peak that existed in the world.

His Birthed Phenomena slowly brought its palms together, and then… its closed eyes began to open.

Space cracked apart and the Throne Challenge threatened to collapse.

Ryu’s lips and that of his Birthed Phenomena parted at the same time.

“[Death Acupoint]…”

Countless tiny needles of gold wheezed around as the technique began to form. But what no one expected was that the mere formation of this technique alone would cause what remained of Silent Quibus’ corpse puppets to burst into a rain of ash.

The wheezing needles of gold were quickly coalescing into a formation of great swordstaffs in the skies, but as they gathered from the Light Qi in the surroundings, every enemy of Ryu suffered. Even the likes of Silent Quibus and the zombie he had just manifested from his eerie shadow were suddenly riddled with injuries.

“[Lines of Fate]…”

The surge of Light Qi accelerated and suddenly shaped nine beautiful great swordstaffs in the air. They still seemed illusory for the most part, but space cracked like black lightning around them, shattering the laws of the world.

Countless bundles of black, white, and grey lines manifested in Ryu’s vision.

Silent Quibus began to shudder, feeling a great danger.

At that same moment, his real body, in an unknown location, startled awake, crawling out of a vat of blood and looking around.

His real body’s vision sharpened as he pierced through the veil of reality, rushing toward the location of the danger, but he still couldn’t understand.

“Dammit! Dammit! Where is it?!”

Ryu exhaled a breath, but it came out as a fog of evaporated blood. One could only imagine the situation inside his body if his coughed-up blood was in such a state.

“[Rob the World of its Color].”

The nine beautiful golden swordstaffs trembled and suddenly became blades of black and white.

“[— Judgement].”

The first word of Ryu’s technique seemed obscured by the Heavenly Laws, but the second sounded loud and clear.

All nine blades descended at once, and before Silent Quibus could even understand what was happening, he began screaming.

Synopsis

Ryu is the kind of genius that appears once in ten thousand years. Maybe longer. He was born with four Grand Ancestral Bloodlines flowing through his veins. The Lightning Qilin. The Fire Dragon. The Ice Phoenix. The Fire Phoenix. Four legendary bloodlines that should have made him unstoppable.

But that is only the beginning. His body houses an Ancestral Grade Bone Structure known as the Ice Jade Crystal Bones, paired with Ancestral Grade Meridians called the Chaotic Silk Meridians. His eyes carry the First Ranked Heavenly Pupils, the Mysteries of Heaven and Earth Pupils, a gift that allows him to see truths that others cannot even dream of.

By all rights, Ryu should be standing at the peak of the cultivation world. He should be the one that everyone else measures themselves against. He should be the nightmare of his enemies and the pride of his ancestors.

None of it matters.

Ryu was born with a False Spiritual Foundation. For those who understand cultivation, this is a death sentence. All of his bloodlines, his bones, his meridians, his eyes, they become useless without a proper foundation to support them. Talent without a vessel is just wasted potential. His genius is a cruel joke played by the heavens.

There is only one hope left for him. A single path forward in a universe that wants him to fail.

The Sky God's Spiritual Foundation. It is the greatest natural treasure in all of existence, a foundation so powerful that it would make even the gods bow. But nothing in this world comes for free. The sacrifices required to gain the approval of such an entity are unimaginable. Most who try are broken beyond repair. Those who fail are erased from history.

Ryu does not care about the cost. He does not care about the danger. He looks at his false foundation, at the bloodlines that mock him, at a world that has already written him off as a failure. And he makes a choice.

He will take his fate into his own hands. He will chase the Sky God's Spiritual Foundation, or he will die trying. There is no middle ground. There is no backup plan. Only the climb and the flame.

Some said he was destined for greatness. Some said he was destined for nothing. Ryu intends to prove them both wrong.
