Grand Ancestral Bloodlines Chapter 1967

Mindless[ … words ]

[ … words ]

The portal shuddered and the world overturned.

At that moment, Reverend Dark Claw’s head snapped in a certain direction, his pupils constricting when he noticed that the rainbow wall was crashing backward. It approached by several thousand more miles before it came to a wobbling stop…

Or so it seemed.

With his sharp gaze, Reverend Dark Claw could see that it was still collapsing, albeit slowly. Unless they changed the formation of the Shrines, it would continue to recede. In a few hundred years, it would return to the original borders.

‘Dammit!’

He didn’t understand how this could be possible. There were so many Lords in there; how could Ryu possibly have succeeded?

He had had a bad feeling when he saw Ryu’s confidence, but he had thought that after exposing Ryu, things would be fine.

What he didn’t expect was that it wouldn’t matter in the slightest.

Not only had Ryu managed to succeed, but he had also slaughtered every single one of their Lords as well.

And now…

He had refined their Lord Grade World.

A pillar of blackness pierced toward the skies.

This time, Ryu didn’t suppress the Chaos Qi aspects in the slightest. Since they knew what he was, he would show them the might they had feared so much.

The world overturned and large amounts of insights poured into Ryu’s mind.

But this time, he didn’t turn it into potential. He already had a Dark World; he didn’t need another.

Instead, he would use it for something else.

The False Shrine appeared high above Ryu’s head and his gaze blazed with light.

At that moment, the Seed of Darkness pulsed through his body and the world turned even darker and more dreary than before.

Reverend Dark Claw didn’t know what Ryu was doing, but he still acted first. So long as Ryu died, everything would be fine. He would be able to fix all of this.

A Dao God was too fast. Ryu had barely begun when he felt a pressure that almost shredded his chest apart.

However…

PA.

Hope appeared before Ryu, her small palm pressing out and shattering Reverend Dark Claw’s momentum.

The Reverend’s expression twisted.

He should have expected this. The only reason the humans would be so bold is if they had such support.

“KILL HIM!” he roared, pulling out a halberd and slashing out at Hope.

He could tell that Hope should have only recently broken through. Such a Lower Dao God shouldn’t be a match for him at all.

However, that was when he sensed a Dao that twisted his face into a terrible expression.

Founding Dao!

High-level Daos weren’t a shock for Dao Gods. If one was a Dao God, at the absolute worst, you would have an Ancient Dao. Just being a Dao God alone meant that you were a genius among geniuses.

Still, the vast majority of Dao Gods tended to have Lower Founding Daos at the peak of Sovereignty, only to slip down to the Ancient Realm upon becoming Dao Gods.

To see a Dao God with a Founding Dao already made them a cut above most…

To see a Dao God with a Higher Founding Dao, however…

Reverend Dark Claw felt his throat constrict.

What he didn’t know was that if Hope hadn’t grown up in the True Martial World, maybe right now she would have a Peak Founding Dao. The only reason it was a step below was that this world was on a tier higher.

Reverend Dark Claw only had a Peak Ancient Dao. In the True Martial World, that would be a Lower Founding Dao. But even if he did have that Grade, he was wholly inferior to Hope whether she had just broken through or not.

Realizing his situation, and knowing that running would only mean death, he immediately swapped techniques.

Stall. Stall. Stall.

It was the only thing he could do.

He took out a great number of treasures and tossed them into the surroundings, burning through what little wealth he had managed to retain.

So long as Ryu died, it would all be fine.

But when he noticed that Hope didn’t even look back toward Ryu as though she wasn’t worried about his safety at all, he felt his heart constrict again.

That was when his pupils shrunk into pinholes, his body shaking as he sensed the aura coming from Ryu.

“My name is Ryu Tatsuya,” Ryu said with a smile, his handsome visage being burned into their minds and souls. “Those of you that happen to survive, do well to remember that.”

The Seed of Darkness pulsed and the world turned black.

[Death Acupoint].

PUCHI! PUCHI! PUCHI!

Beams of darkness lashed out toward the surroundings.

One shot, one kill.

It didn’t matter if they were Lords or Sovereigns; it made no difference whatsoever. One after another, they collapsed, freezing in the skies and then slowly falling.

Ryu raised up a hand, his silvery eyes flashing as he analyzed the formations in the region.

It took him no more than a handful of seconds.

The formations they had put so much effort into shattered beneath the weight of a single word.

“Break.”

BANG! CRACK! CHIIIIII!

“Let’s go,” Ryu said casually.

He took a step and darkness warped around him.

“Okay,” Hope said lightly.

She smashed out with a palm that collided with Reverend Dark Claw’s chest as though all the defensive measures he had put up were worthless.

Then, she vanished along with Ryu.

Reverend Dark Claw fell from the skies, coughing up countless mouthfuls of blood as he cursed continuously.

They were too smart, too smart. They didn’t delay in the slightest, and he even suffered that palm for no reason at all.

“DAMMIT!”

He realized that he couldn’t hide this matter anymore. Without a choice, he began to send out messages to mobilize the entire Chaos Plane. Then, he gave a vicious glare to the humans that managed to survive.

They all deserved to die.

“DIE!”

A mindless slaughter ensued.

Synopsis

Ryu is the kind of genius that appears once in ten thousand years. Maybe longer. He was born with four Grand Ancestral Bloodlines flowing through his veins. The Lightning Qilin. The Fire Dragon. The Ice Phoenix. The Fire Phoenix. Four legendary bloodlines that should have made him unstoppable.

But that is only the beginning. His body houses an Ancestral Grade Bone Structure known as the Ice Jade Crystal Bones, paired with Ancestral Grade Meridians called the Chaotic Silk Meridians. His eyes carry the First Ranked Heavenly Pupils, the Mysteries of Heaven and Earth Pupils, a gift that allows him to see truths that others cannot even dream of.

By all rights, Ryu should be standing at the peak of the cultivation world. He should be the one that everyone else measures themselves against. He should be the nightmare of his enemies and the pride of his ancestors.

None of it matters.

Ryu was born with a False Spiritual Foundation. For those who understand cultivation, this is a death sentence. All of his bloodlines, his bones, his meridians, his eyes, they become useless without a proper foundation to support them. Talent without a vessel is just wasted potential. His genius is a cruel joke played by the heavens.

There is only one hope left for him. A single path forward in a universe that wants him to fail.

The Sky God's Spiritual Foundation. It is the greatest natural treasure in all of existence, a foundation so powerful that it would make even the gods bow. But nothing in this world comes for free. The sacrifices required to gain the approval of such an entity are unimaginable. Most who try are broken beyond repair. Those who fail are erased from history.

Ryu does not care about the cost. He does not care about the danger. He looks at his false foundation, at the bloodlines that mock him, at a world that has already written him off as a failure. And he makes a choice.

He will take his fate into his own hands. He will chase the Sky God's Spiritual Foundation, or he will die trying. There is no middle ground. There is no backup plan. Only the climb and the flame.

Some said he was destined for greatness. Some said he was destined for nothing. Ryu intends to prove them both wrong.
