Grand Ancestral Bloodlines Chapter 2042

The expressions of many of the Dao Gods changed.

They had all been fighting to keep a single Ailsa in check, but now a second woman with the same amount of strength had suddenly appeared. How were they going to deal with two existences with this level of strength?

Eska and Isemeine looked down from their high perch, completely ignoring the Griffins in the sky as they checked on Mae and Selheira.

The two of them were looking into the skies with gazes of shock and awe, not expecting to witness something like this today.

The pressure they had felt from Ailsa was completely wiped away, and a determination sparked in their eyes.

If three of Ryu’s wives had managed this, then it was their place to do the same. Even if it took a lifetime to achieve it.

ROAR!

Lu’card was the only person who didn’t seem to give a damn about any of this. The instant he saw that his path to the Griffins was no longer being blocked, he lunged forward.

He opened his maw, unleashing a Dragon’s breath that was wreathed in spatial storms and what almost looked like crackling black lightning.

The Griffins were taken aback. Still suppressed by Eska and Isemeine’s aura, they couldn’t quite react, and many of them were enveloped all at once.

Eska and Isemeine turned their attention back to the skies, their gaze calm as they slowly raised a hand. It seemed that it was time to end things here.

Ryu coughed up a mouthful of blood. His body was beaten and broken, but he still held onto his great swordstaffs as his eyes blazed.

He hadn’t been able to pay even the slightest modicum of attention to Eska and Isemeine. He could only believe in them to make it through on their own.

Standing tall and straight, he held his blades out, breathing deeply.

There were now three Sarriels before him, each one with 100% the strength of the main body. He had managed to kill her again, only for her to repeat the same exact trick.

Honestly speaking, she had probably allowed him to kill her on purpose just so that she could pull this off.

The coordination she had between, well, herself, was undoubtedly excellent, and he had suffered for it several times already.

He was sporting several wounds that shone down to his bone, and his breathing was uneven and had difficulty steadying.

When Sarriel noticed his healing factor, something about her blade changed, and it felt like she wasn’t just targeting his body anymore, but rather something more fundamental. Somehow, it felt even more fundamental than Karma and Fate itself.

Ryu didn’t know exactly what it was, but if he had to describe it… it felt like she was rewriting his reality.

He was injured not because he was in a world of normal cause and effect where a blade would naturally cut into skin… rather, he was injured because it was only natural he be injured, as though the law of the world said it should be so, and as such it was.

She was rewriting the laws of his body itself, superseding his Control and rendering his Embryonic Qi mostly impotent.

This was the problem and the irony with relying on external items.

The problem was that when you came across an opponent that was powerful enough, they would become useless. Then, a large portion of your combat strength would collapse without you being able to do much of anything to change it.

As for the irony… it was that Embryonic Qi wasn’t an external item to Ryu. It was being produced by his own Meridians, his own Talent, and yet it was useless anyway.

Ryu’s lip curled into an arc, watching as Sarriel frowned into the skies. Her personality had shifted again, becoming reserved, stoic, and cold. Maybe if she was in one of her more arrogant personas, she wouldn’t be reacting like this.

In fact, her other two clones weren’t. They didn’t even look into the skies, just continuing to stare at him with derision.

Obviously, the middle clone was frowning because of Eska and Isemeine’s success. Their appearance had changed the landscape of the battlefield again.

“Why such powerful women are with a man as weak as you is something I’ll never be able to understand,” the cold and stoic Sarriel spoke.

“Maybe what’s between his legs is truly impressive,” a second, jokester Sarriel replied. “Then turn him into a toy,” an arrogant, sneering third Sarriel rebutted. “Lock him away in a dungeon for when he’s useful. Why bother to call him husband? So completely and utterly pathetic.”

“None of this will matter when I’m stronger than them all.” All three of them said at the same time.

Ryu didn’t speak from start to finish. As his breathing heaved, his gaze flickered with a menacing light. The curl of his lips told their own story, and his fiendish intent was only building.

All the while, his Undefeatable Spirit had never wavered in the slightest. In fact, it only seemed to be growing stronger.

His grip around his great swordstaffs tightened to the point space crackled and

groaned around his knuckles.

The three Sarriels looked at him at the same time.

“Why don’t you give up already?” they spoke at once.

Ryu still didn’t reply. He took one more breath and exhaled, howling winds matching

the cadence of his heaving chest.

‘Something deeper than Fate and Karma… Fascinating, indeed…

Deep within Ryu’s body, a change was taking place. He hadn’t dared to do this before. In order to complete his Body Realm cultivation method, he needed Space and Time. This wasn’t just to balance his other Elements, but a much deeper reason…

His Boundless Cosmos Bone Structure.

It was the final piece that remained. Without Space and Time, he couldn’t safely complete the cycle of his Body Realm and connect his Bloodlines to his Bones the way they were always meant to.

However, he really didn’t like to lose… and the idea of losing in the presence of not just

one, but two of his arrogant wives…

That was even more unacceptable.

His Bone Structure began to flicker and the first of his tattoos deepened to the point

of etching into bone.

Synopsis

Ryu is the kind of genius that appears once in ten thousand years. Maybe longer. He was born with four Grand Ancestral Bloodlines flowing through his veins. The Lightning Qilin. The Fire Dragon. The Ice Phoenix. The Fire Phoenix. Four legendary bloodlines that should have made him unstoppable.

But that is only the beginning. His body houses an Ancestral Grade Bone Structure known as the Ice Jade Crystal Bones, paired with Ancestral Grade Meridians called the Chaotic Silk Meridians. His eyes carry the First Ranked Heavenly Pupils, the Mysteries of Heaven and Earth Pupils, a gift that allows him to see truths that others cannot even dream of.

By all rights, Ryu should be standing at the peak of the cultivation world. He should be the one that everyone else measures themselves against. He should be the nightmare of his enemies and the pride of his ancestors.

None of it matters.

Ryu was born with a False Spiritual Foundation. For those who understand cultivation, this is a death sentence. All of his bloodlines, his bones, his meridians, his eyes, they become useless without a proper foundation to support them. Talent without a vessel is just wasted potential. His genius is a cruel joke played by the heavens.

There is only one hope left for him. A single path forward in a universe that wants him to fail.

The Sky God's Spiritual Foundation. It is the greatest natural treasure in all of existence, a foundation so powerful that it would make even the gods bow. But nothing in this world comes for free. The sacrifices required to gain the approval of such an entity are unimaginable. Most who try are broken beyond repair. Those who fail are erased from history.

Ryu does not care about the cost. He does not care about the danger. He looks at his false foundation, at the bloodlines that mock him, at a world that has already written him off as a failure. And he makes a choice.

He will take his fate into his own hands. He will chase the Sky God's Spiritual Foundation, or he will die trying. There is no middle ground. There is no backup plan. Only the climb and the flame.

Some said he was destined for greatness. Some said he was destined for nothing. Ryu intends to prove them both wrong.
