Legend Management Bureau Chapter 298
Saint’s perspective[ … words ]
[ … words ]
Du Yu slowly lay down on Baxia’s turtle shell. Beside him, Shiranui Asuka was still vomiting profusely like a small fountain.
“A’xiang… how long are you going to keep throwing up…” Du Yu asked slowly.
“Senior Du Yu, I am fine, you do not need to worry about me, blegh!!!” Shiranui Asuka wiped her mouth. Beside her, Shiranui Jinjiro continuously patted her back, his face filled with unstoppable heartache.
“A’xiang’s brother…” Du Yu said, “Has A’xiang always been this seasick?”
“Yes, Little Xiang has been unable to board ships since she was a child. Once she gets on one, she throws up severely.” Shiranui Jinjiro answered Du Yu while softly asking Shiranui Asuka, “Feeling any better?”
Du Yu looked down and patted Baxia’s turtle shell, asking, “Big sea turtle, can you fly?”
“Fly?” Baxia pondered for a moment. “I do not know how to fly…”
“This…” Du Yu asked with some concern, “How much longer until we can see the Dragon Ancestor?”
“Approximately three or four days.”
“How can you do that?” Baxia cried out anxiously, then asked, “Um… what exactly is seasickness?”
“Seasickness is when you feel like vomiting while floating on the sea,” Du Yu explained. “Can you not think of a way to solve this?”
Hearing this, Baxia hurriedly nodded and said, “If you do not want to float on the sea, I actually have a solution.”
“What solution?”
Baxia did not answer. Instead, the beast secretly exerted force, doing who knows what.
“Look!” Xiao Nian noticed the changes in the water and pointed beneath the surface with an exclamation.
Everyone looked and saw that Baxia’s four legs submerged in the water were actually slowly elongating. They quickly reached the bottom of the sea, resembling four slender pillars.
As soon as its feet touched the ground, A’xiang stopped vomiting.
Then, Baxia began to move its four legs, slowly striding forward. The group transitioned from floating on the sea to what felt like a walking tour.
“Ah! I am finally better!” A’xiang let out a long sigh of relief. “I thought I was going to die.”
Du Yu sighed helplessly. He thought to himself, ‘During my previous descents, I rarely ever went out to sea. Yet, ever since Shiranui Asuka arrived, we have had to take a boat time and time again. It is almost as if it were specially tailored for her.’
“A’xiang… are you alright now?”
“I am fine!” Shiranui Asuka stood up and patted the dust off her knees.
“Then I might have to trouble you with something,” Du Yu said.
“What is it?”
“Do you still have your Yata no Kagami with you?”
“I do.” Shiranui Asuka nodded. “What do you want to do?”
“Show us some images of Saint,” Du Yu said with a slight smile. “We will be traveling for a few more days, and I want to see how things are going on their end.”
“Saint…?” Shiranui Asuka pondered for a moment. “I am not sure if it will work… but I can try…”
After saying that, Shiranui Asuka jumped up and plucked a strand of hair from Du Yu’s head.
“Whoa, what the heck!” Du Yu jumped in fright. “What are you doing, A’xiang?”
“Taking your hair. I can only see your perspective if I use something that belongs to you,” Shiranui Asuka said nonchalantly.
“How come I never heard about this?!” Du Yu shouted in exasperation. “I did not see you plucking Izanagi’s hair during his legend earlier!”
“It is indeed like that…” A Can chimed in from the side. “Brother Yu, A’xiang really does need your belongings to see your perspective…”
“Eh?”
After A Can finished speaking, A Kui also nodded in agreement.
“How do you all know this?” Du Yu asked in confusion. “Did I miss something?”
Of course he did not know. The Seven Holy Heroes had used this exact method when rescuing him, although at the time, the group had only consisted of A Can and A Kui.
Shiranui Asuka brought out the bronze mirror and cast her spell, but after trying several times, she could only locate the current Du Yu. A’xiang helplessly searched through the images, but no matter how hard she tried, she could not pinpoint Saint. It was as if Du Yu and Saint were fundamentally two completely different people.
“What is going on?” Shiranui Asuka asked in puzzlement. “You are clearly Saint.”
“Forget it, it does not seem very logical when you think about it.” Du Yu gently shook his head. “I suppose we can only see him by using Saint’s own hair…”
Du Yu turned to Xiao Qi and asked, “Xiao Qi, can you give us a live broadcast of Saint’s situation?”
Xiao Qi nodded slightly and replied, “No problem. Sister Qianqiu is right beside me; I will relay the images from her screen to you.”
Thus, Xiao Qi detailed the contents of the screen to Du Yu, who in turn relayed the information to the Seven Holy Heroes.
Upon arriving in the legend, Saint also found the situation quite tricky. After all, in this legend, Gonggong had absolutely no reason to fight violently with Zhurong, let alone crash into and shatter Buzhou Mountain.
But Saint was Saint, after all. He only paced around for a brief moment before coming up with a countermeasure.
Since Gonggong’s temperament was no longer violent, Zhurong would simply have to play the role of the villain.
With this in mind, Saint arranged for Xiao Nian to apply disguises to all the members of the Seven Holy Heroes. They then scattered across the Nine Provinces of Huaxia, setting fires everywhere.
In just two short days, massive fires raged in all directions. The people of numerous tribes adamantly insisted that the arsonist was none other than Zhurong.
On the evening of the second day, Saint secretly slipped an anonymous letter to Zhurong. The letter informed him that the mastermind behind everything was Gonggong, who had arranged for the fires to be set in order to frame the Fire God, all to force Zhurong to surrender the throne of the tribal leader.
On the third day, Saint prompted Gonggong to take action by triggering flash floods to extinguish the blazes. Although the fires were put out, the lives of the common people became even more miserable. The floodwaters had quenched the flames, but they had also washed away countless homes in the process.
Consequently, Saint told Gonggong that everything was part of Zhurong’s scheme. Fearing that Gonggong would seize his position as leader, Zhurong had devised this plot. If Gonggong acted to put out the fires, he would be condemned and punished for the crime of recklessly causing floods.
Although this trick was rather crude, both Gonggong and Zhurong were men of extremely fierce and unyielding tempers. Now, with just a slight provocation, the two immediately engaged in a brutal battle. Everything unfolded exactly as recorded in the legends.
For three whole days, Du Yu and the Seven Holy Heroes witnessed the events unfolding on the other side remotely. Meanwhile, their sea voyage was also nearing its end.
During these three days, Du Yu would occasionally use Voice Transmission to speak with Xiao Qi, as if he were constantly planning something.
At this moment, a small island slowly appeared in the distance, wreathed in immortal mist and shrouded in auspicious clouds.
“It is about time.” Du Yu looked at the small island from afar and said to Xiao Qi, “Xiao Qi, have Sister Qianqiu gather those three people. We can begin executing the plan!”
