Legend Management Bureau Chapter 327
The real fuxi[ … words ]

This time, it was Yinglong’s turn to feel a bit timid.
“Young Kid, you already know my intentions, yet you’re still willing to agree?”
“Yes, I agreed. Why are you spouting so much nonsense?” Du Yu pulled the Eight Directions Ghost Record from his chest and tossed it directly in front of the Dragon Ancestor. “Big dragon, pick a spot you like and stamp your dragon seal.”
Yinglong rolled his eyes back and forth; he knew he had no other choice.
He extended his dragon claw, coated it in his own blood, and carved a mark onto the Eight Directions Ghost Record.
In a mere instant, a massive, seemingly ethereal dragon soul roared out of his body and plunged straight into Du Yu. Du Yu’s eyes erupted with a burst of golden light.
Before long, Du Yu slowly calmed down, and the dragon corpse on the ground ceased all movement.
Nüwa watched all of this quietly before speaking, “Elder brother, what was that just now?”
Fuxi also looked somewhat puzzled. “It appears to be the work of the Old Mother of Mount Li.”
After observing them for a moment, she muttered to herself, “This island is full of Great Pivots. How annoying.”
Hearing this, Fuxi turned his head and said to her, “Sister, have you forgotten what I told you? Even if they are Great Pivots, you cannot slaughter them at will without my orders.”
“Then, brother, are you implying our task is already complete?” Nüwa looked at the remaining people with a hint of dissatisfaction. Right now, there were dozens of black-clad monks and eight other Great Pivots left. “Did we really just come here to kill Yinglong?”
“It was indeed Yinglong who was on a killing spree just now, so you were right to kill him.” Fuxi coldly scanned the surroundings. “As for the rest of these people…”
Seeing this, Du Yu felt a bit confused and asked silently in his heart, ‘Sister Qianqiu, who is this man?’
“It is Great Emperor Fuxi!” Dong Qianqiu replied. “He is both Nüwa’s brother and her husband.”
“Understood,” Du Yu said. “Setting-wise, it’s just like Izanagi.”
“Yes… but Great Emperor Fuxi doesn’t seem to have mastered the Mind Thought Technique,” Dong Qianqiu added.
“He hasn’t mastered the Mind Thought Technique?” Du Yu frowned, sensing an opportunity right in front of him.
If he didn’t seize this chance, let alone helping Nüwa repair the sky, even leaving this place alive would be a problem.
“I want to talk to him,” Du Yu said. “This Fuxi might just be the breakthrough we need for everything.”
“Talk?” Dong Qianqiu had a bad feeling about this. “Du Yu, whatever you do, do not carelessly approach those two. Earlier, Zhan Qisheng merely got close to Nüwa and had his body pierced right through…”
“Getting my body pierced through is only a matter of time anyway; I might as well take a gamble now.” Du Yu slowly took a step forward. At almost the exact same moment, both Fuxi and Nüwa turned their heads to look at him.
Cold sweat ran down Du Yu’s back, but he bolstered his courage and said, “Great Emperor Fuxi, could I have a word with you in private?”
Hearing Du Yu act so audaciously, the monks opposite them also felt their hearts pound with anxiety.
Logically speaking, they shouldn’t let Du Yu and Fuxi converse alone, otherwise the situation for the black-clad monks would become far too dangerous. Yet, in this current situation, who would dare step forward to stop them?
“A word in private?” Du Yu’s proposal piqued Fuxi’s interest. He smiled and said, “You look like a leader. Are you perhaps scheming something?”
“We all know the sheer power of Great Goddess Nuwa. How could we possibly scheme anything?” Du Yu shook his head helplessly. “I just want to have a chat with you, assuming you are willing.”
Fuxi felt there was a hint of provocation in Du Yu’s words, but he truly had nothing to fear.
“Brother,” Nüwa called out to Fuxi, as if wanting to say something.
“It is fine.” Fuxi pulled out a five-colored silk scarf from his robes and said, “Sister, cover your eyes and ears. I will be right back. Remember, empty your mind.”
Nüwa nodded silently. She took the scarf from Fuxi’s hands and tied it over her eyes. She stopped speaking entirely and stood quietly in place.
Fuxi and Du Yu exchanged a glance and simultaneously walked to the side.
After walking a few dozen paces, Du Yu stopped, and Fuxi stopped as well.
“What do you wish to discuss with me?” Fuxi asked.
Du Yu had thousands of words he wanted to say, but he didn’t understand Fuxi at all. He needed to be extremely careful with his words and actions.
“You guys… killed the wrong person just now,” Du Yu stated. “Yinglong wasn’t a bad guy.”
“Oh?” Fuxi raised an eyebrow and replied, “Is that so? I am truly sorry about that.”
“Sorry?”
Du Yu stared at Fuxi with a frown. The man’s expression told Du Yu that Nüwa apparently killed the wrong person quite often, and Fuxi had grown accustomed to apologizing for it.
“Do you want some sort of compensation?” Fuxi asked. “Or perhaps Yinglong had some unfulfilled wish?”
Fuxi’s attitude was completely incomprehensible to Du Yu.
“Great Emperor Fuxi, why exactly did you come here?” Du Yu asked.
“To fulfill a dying man’s final wish, of course. We came to deal with the chaos and disaster here.” Fuxi said with a hint of disdain, “Does this have anything to do with you?”
Du Yu bit his lip and countered, “But do you even know who the real cause of the disaster is?”
“Does it matter?” Fuxi shot Du Yu a glance and stated, “The world knows that Nüwa and I agreed to a dying man’s wish, so we had to come. As for what we actually did upon arriving, and what chaos we dealt with, the mortals of the world will naturally fabricate the details for us.”
“Fa—fabricate?” Du Yu’s eyes widened. “Y-you mean to say… you two just came here to slaughter indiscriminately?”
“You couldn’t exactly put it that way.” Fuxi scratched his head. “My sister really hates Great Pivots, yet she spared the lives of all the Great Pivots on this island, so it can’t really be considered an ‘indiscriminate slaughter.'”
Du Yu felt the situation was escalating far beyond his expectations.
“Fine… Since that’s the case, let’s stop talking about this. Let me ask you… how is ‘repairing the sky’ going?” Du Yu looked up at the rifts in the heavens. “It’s been seven days; you guys should have made some progress by now, right?”
“Repairing the sky?” Fuxi was taken aback. “Why would we repair the sky?”
Du Yu was equally stunned, never expecting Fuxi to ask such a question.
“No, wait… Haven’t you two thought about repairing the sky at all over these past seven days?!”
Fuxi was amused by Du Yu. “Are you joking? For the past seven days, I’ve been taking Nüwa on sightseeing tours across the mountains and rivers. We merely killed a few immortal beasts that blocked our path and took their Inner Cores, yet the world already believes we’ve slain numerous Demonic Beasts to protect them. With such merit already attributed to us, why would we do something as thankless as repairing the sky?”
Du Yu simply couldn’t comprehend Fuxi’s thought process at all.
“The common people of this world have already been plunged into utter misery and suffering. As ‘great deities,’ how can you act so selfishly? Do you hold absolutely no regard for the lives of the innocent?”
“Hah!” Fuxi let out a loud laugh before lowering his voice to a whisper. “Brother, if you had a ‘sister’ with boundless Magical Power who was this obedient, you could be a ‘great deity’ too.”
