Legend Management Bureau Chapter 394
Sending him away[ … words ]
[ … words ]
As his words faded, the massive red Buddha’s body slowly began to swell.
An eerie spatial power churned violently within him.
“I hid my Great Pivot constitution for so long that not even Mahakala knew about it, all for this very moment.” He Suoyi threw his head back and burst into wild laughter. “What use is there in merely blowing up the current Immortal Beings?! If you truly want to destroy the world, you should be thorough and wipe everyone out in one fell swoop! Only then can we usher in a true paradise! Only that can be considered true Ultimate Darkness!”
Du Yu had calculated a thousand possibilities, but he never imagined that He Suoyi would choose to self-destruct the very instant he gained this power.
He was even more utterly deranged than Mahakala.
His actions could no longer be measured by any normal standard of logic. To purge the entire Immortal Realm, he was actually willing to throw away his own life.
But what could be done now?!
Watching He Suoyi’s ever-expanding form, a deep sense of despair welled up in Du Yu’s heart.
“Brothers,” Du Yu said with a cold calmness. “Does anyone have any good ideas?”
An idea?
If they had a solution like that, they would have annihilated Mahakala long ago. How would they have ended up in such a desperate state?
Only Saint pondered for a brief moment before speaking up. “This situation is likely the first of its kind in history. The one attempting to destroy the world has changed from Mahakala to He Suoyi… Du Yu, He Suoyi is a Great Pivot, and a Great Pivot should have the unique traits of a Great Pivot!”
Du Yu blanked for a second after hearing Saint’s words.
Perhaps because he had experienced life-and-death moments so many times, his state of mind had undergone a profound transformation.
Even with an infinitely greater threat looming right before his eyes, he remained unusually calm.
“The unique traits of a Great Pivot?” Du Yu carefully turned the thought over in his mind. Suddenly, he and Saint arrived at a bold plan at the exact same time!
Both of their eyes widened in unison.
Was there any better solution at this point?
No, there was absolutely nothing else!
Du Yu gently closed his eyes and reached out to Saint.
“You know what I am thinking, do you not?”
“Indeed. If we want this world to have even a sliver of hope for survival, we can only give this a try!”
The others could not help but frown as they looked between Du Yu and Saint, completely baffled by their unspoken exchange.
Saint silently closed his eyes. A moment later, when he snapped them open, a formidable wave of power erupted from his gaze. The bones throughout his entire body crackled and popped.
It seemed he had already invited Xing Tian to possess his body.
Du Yu also turned to look at Xing Tian and declared, “Xing Tian, I am handing control of my body over to you. If you, as Xing Tian, draw upon your own original power, you can definitely unleash an earth-shattering spell!”
“You mean me?” Xing Tian was taken aback. “Brother, I understand what you are saying, but what exactly can I do?”
Du Yu and Saint spoke in perfect unison: “A Portal!”
“A Portal?!” The group was stunned.
Du Yu quickly explained, “We have to find a way to transport He Suoyi away from here. If he detonates now, not a single Immortal Being present will survive.”
Zhi Nv felt this plan was highly flawed and immediately voiced her concerns. “Transport him? Look at his massive size… Even if we move him anywhere within the realms of Heaven, Earth, or Humanity… will the end result not be exactly the same?!”
“No!” Du Yu interrupted. “There is one place that can get us out of this predicament! As long as we send He Suoyi there, absolutely nothing will change here. It is precisely because of He Suoyi’s Great Pivot constitution that this method is even possible. After all, that is a place that even Mahakala cannot reach!”
The group was completely bewildered.
Was there truly a place in this world where He Suoyi’s explosion would not cause any disastrous ripples?
“Where exactly is that?” Zhi Nv asked.
“The future!”
“The future where Saint belongs!” Du Yu declared without a moment of hesitation. “That lifeless future devoid of a single living soul!”
“Ah!” the group gasped in shock.
But upon second thought, this was undoubtedly a brilliant idea.
If they could actually banish He Suoyi to explode in the future, nothing in their current timeline would be altered.
Not only that, but the outcome here would continuously influence the timeline.
The future would only improve based on the positive changes made in the present; it would not suffer any negative consequences from this explosion.
Xing Tian blinked in surprise and said, “So… brother, you are saying you want me to open a Portal and shove this giant red Buddha inside?”
“Exactly!” Du Yu confirmed. “We can only rely on you for a spell of such a colossal scale!”
With their ultimate strategy decided, Du Yu silently opened his eyes.
In the next instant, a piercing, radiant light erupted from his pupils.
Xing Tian absorbed the combined power of the other seven spirits into his body, which even included the true core of the Eight Directions Ghost Record itself.
He suddenly felt a supreme clarity of mind. The meridians throughout his entire body surged at blistering speeds, making him feel as though he had merged into absolute unity with the cosmos.
Every blade of grass and every tree in the world felt completely under his control, and every whisper of the wind echoing in his ears seemed to pulse with a life of its own.
This was likely the legendary state of the Heaven of Free Transformation of Others’ Pleasures.
With a sweeping wave of his right hand, Xing Tian manifested an enormous Portal that hovered ominously above the red Buddha’s head.
With a flick of his left hand, another massive Portal materialized right beneath He Suoyi’s feet.
“Retrograde Wind!!” Xing Tian roared. He clenched his right hand into a fist and wrenched it downward, causing the Portal above the Buddha’s head to slowly sink lower.
“Ascending Waterfall!!” Xing Tian raised his left hand high, and the Portal beneath the Buddha’s feet began to steadily rise.
To control the movement of two gigantic Portals entirely single-handedly—among everyone present, only Xing Tian possessed the sheer prowess to pull off such a feat.
However, the immense strain was simply too much for Du Yu’s mortal flesh to bear.
His skin and muscles continuously split open, bursting with fresh blood.
He Suoyi finally snapped to his senses. He realized that the two Portals were acting like two colossal bug-catching nets, slowly enveloping him within their grasp.
Sensing the imminent danger, He Suoyi was just about to stand up and use a Fleeing Spell to escape when he discovered that, at some unknown point, his entire lower half had been encased in a thick layer of frost.
The red Buddha’s feet were completely frozen to the ground; he could not take a single step.
He tried to reach out, only to find that his hands were heavily bound by countless thick silk threads. Every slight movement was excruciatingly difficult.
“Bastard!”
He Suoyi’s form was already severely cracking apart, and it was far too late for him to retract his own spell.
At this critical juncture, he exhausted every last ounce of his strength to extend a hand and swipe it toward Du Yu. Instantly, Du Yu’s body flew uncontrollably toward He Suoyi, and the two Portals abruptly stopped moving.
Seeing that things were going terribly wrong, Xing Tian frantically roared, “Myriad Things Kill!”
Suddenly, an avalanche of massive broadswords forged from sand and stone materialized behind the two Portals. They continuously battered the gateways, forcing them to slowly inch forward.
But it all happened in a flash. In the blink of an eye, Xing Tian was already caught tightly within He Suoyi’s grasp.
“Damn it!” Xing Tian gritted his teeth, unleashing all of his physical might to pry apart He Suoyi’s fingers, but the giant hand did not budge in the slightest.
Realizing what He Suoyi was planning to do, Du Yu hastily shouted, “Xing Tian! Give me back my body!”
Xing Tian was startled by the demand, but he quickly nodded and relinquished control of the mortal shell.
When Du Yu opened his eyes, he realized that He Suoyi had not dealt a lethal blow. Instead, he simply kept Du Yu firmly pinched between his fingers.
“Old He! Are you planning to drag me along with you?!” Du Yu asked through gritted teeth. “You certainly plotted this out well!”
“Du Yu! You are my lingering obsession. You have the right to witness the total destruction of this world!”
‘This is bad,’ Du Yu realized. If he were actually dragged into the future, then Saint and Zhan Qisheng would inevitably be taken away as well.
After all, every single Great Pivot currently present on the battlefield was gathered within him.
If he died on the other side, there would be absolutely no one left to restore the legends.
