“IS THAT child your son?”

Kiho’s eyes widened in shock when his gaze met the Devil’s glowing red eyes.

[How…?!]

Shocked, he unconsciously took a step back.

He wasn’t sure if the Devil could really see him, but he still didn’t lower his guard.

“What son?” Kyro asked, confused. “If you’re trying to distract me, then you already failed. I’m expecting a daughter and not a son, moron.”

The Moon God was probably the only person who would call the Devil a ’moron’ fearlessly.

Kiho had to admit that Kyro had some guts.

“Ah, so you can’t see the boy.”

Kiho unconsciously gulped because he finally confirmed it– the Devil could really see him.

[So, he’s an omnipresent being.]

That could be the only explanation as to how the Devil could see Kiho when he traveled all the way there from the future through an “illusion.”

[It’s like getting sucked inside the book that you’re reading.]

“You cannot see him, so allow me to describe your son for you,” the Devil said to Kyro in a playful tone. “He hates you, Moon God.”

Kiho was flabbergasted.

[That’s not how you describe a person…]

Kyro looked shocked at first, and then he scoffed. “Now I’m sure you’re lying.”

The Devil chuckled. “How so?”

“If ever my wife and I get blessed with another child and it turns out to be a son this time, I’ll make sure that we will raise him with love– him and our firstborn daughter, of course,” Kyro said in a soft voice. It seemed like he slightly lowered his guard when talking about his family. “My son, a demigod, won’t inherit all my powers as a god. However, I’ll make sure I’ll raise him as a strong warrior capable of protecting his mother and older sister.”

“Why?” the Devil asked curiously. “Are you not confident that you can protect your family on your own? You’re the Moon God.”

Kyro, who had probably judged that the Devil wasn’t really in the mood to fight, sat down on the sand and leaned against a boulder. He looked relaxed, but his eyes showed wariness. In short, his guard was still up. “I’m the Moon God, and that’s exactly why I’m not confident that I can always be there for my family. Just look at me now. My wife is due and yet, I was sent here to kill you.”

“You must be a pushover.”

“It can’t be helped because I’m the weakest major god,” Kyro said, sighing. “If I turned this mission down, I was afraid the gods would use my family against me.”

Kiho clenched his hands tight, feeling conflicted at the moment.

Of course, he still hated Kyro with all his heart.

However, seeing his father in a vulnerable state made him feel a bit weird.

This Kyro was young and still humane.

[And he cares about his family, especially his wife.]

To be honest, Kiho had always known that his father was helplessly in love with his mother.

[They love each other more than they loved me.]

But his childhood memories were hazy.

Hence, this was the first time he got to experience his father’s loving side.

“It sounds like you really love your family, Moon God.”

That’s why I don’t believe what you said earlier– there’s no way my son will end up hating me, if ever Yumi and I are really blessed with one.”

“For a god, you sound so humane.”

Kyro smirked smugly. “You have my lovely wife to thank for.”

It was the Devil’s turn to laugh, and then he suddenly turned to Kiho. “Did you hear that, boy?”

Ah.

Kiho was surprised by the sudden shift in the air.

And, just like that, time suddenly stopped.

He could tell by the way Kyro suddenly turned stiff unnaturally.

Hell was already a dry land to begin with.

But when time stopped, it suddenly felt more humid.

Kiho shouldn’t be affected by the change in the environment, but he was.

[I… can’t breathe…]

“You shouldn’t be here, boy.”

Kiho was surprised to find the Devil standing right in front of him.

He tried to jump backwards to create a distance between them, but he couldn’t even move.

“You also have a wife, don’t you?” the Devil asked, placing a hand on top of Kiho’s head. “Go.”

And before Kiho could even respond, everything had already turned black.

TILLY’S mind was on the verge of collapse.

She had to witness Yumi getting sexually assaulted again and again.

Unfortunately, she couldn’t do anything but shut her eyes and cover her ears with her hands.

The sexual assault had resulted in not just one but two successful pregnancies.

Yumi had given birth to two more daughters.

However, the poor woman had fallen into a comatose state after the second time she gave birth to that bastard’s child.

Tilly had to watch it all.

She watched how Yumi tried to kill herself and the child in her womb.

However, she failed every time.

Even after Yumi had fallen into a comatose state, Father Crades didn’t stop assaulting her until she got pregnant.

That was why Tilly was on the verge of going insane.

“Kiho…”

Tilly heard herself calling her husband’s name.
