TO SAY that Tilly was shocked when the next ’scenario’ unfolded.

They were taken to a shrine below the temple of the Moon Priestess.

But it wasn’t a shrine to worship the Moon God.

“Those horns,” Tilly said while looking at the horns attached to the wall. “Those aren’t animals’ horns, are they?”

“Definitely not,” Kiho said while shaking his head. “Those are demon horns.”

As expected.

And there was only one ’god’ that those demons served.

“This is a shrine for the Devil,” Tilly said, disgusted. “I should have known. There’s no way a priest that serves the Moon God would do such unspeakable things.”

The only question was how?

How did that damned Priest Crades able to deceive Kyro?

“Now I understand why the Sun God said ’sorry’ behind Kyro’s back that time.”

Tilly turned to Kiho. “Ah, right. You said you saw the Sun God send off Kyro to the Underworld after we got separated.”

Kiho nodded, his face darkened. “Kyro asked the Sun God to protect Yumi and their child in his place. The Sun God nodded and assured Kyro that he’ll take care of everything. But as soon as Kyro left, the Sun God mouthed an apology.”

She felt her blood boiling. “Does it mean the Sun God knows what’s about to happen to Yumi before it even happened?”

“That seems to be the case, honey.”

Hah!

Tilly clenched her hands tightly, anger rising in her chest. “They let that tragedy occur on purpose.”

Kiho nodded in agreement. “There’s no way a major god like the Sun God couldn’t have protected Yumi and her child.”

Fortunately, they got their answer when the scenario changed again.

***

THE NEXT scenario was gore.

Tilly found herself in the middle of a bloody mess.

Thankfully, Kiho was still by her side.

They were surrounded by corpses that were brutally mutilated— men, women, children, elderly. Whoever committed the crime didn’t spare anyone.

“I know them,” Tilly said indifferently. She had only seen the scenarios unfold and yet, she had already turned jaded. “Those people were the ones who ’served’ Yumi while she was pregnant. They were the village people.”

Kiho just nodded while looking around. “I’m not familiar with this forest.”

She was about to say that she didn’t recognize the forest either when, all of a sudden, someone plummeted to the ground.

If that person was an ordinary human, they would have died already.

However, the ’monster’ got up with only a few bones broken.

“That’s him, Kiho,” Tilly said to her husband while clenching her fists. “The monster who committed the unspeakable towards your mother and siblings.”

“I see.”

Kiho’s voice was eerily calm.

But Tilly didn’t dare to turn and look at her husband.

[If I see the pain in Kiho’s face, I’ll lose it. I can’t afford to run on a rampage here since we need to find a way to get out of here first.]

Having said that, Tilly still held Kiho’s hand and squeezed it gently.

Kiho squeezed back as if he was letting her know that he was fine.

“Why are you doing this to me?!” Father Crades while looking up at the sky. “The Devil is also a god! What’s wrong with worshipping him?!”

The Devil was a god?

Haaah.

That was so ridiculous that Tilly couldn’t even laugh.

“The Sun God…”

She was busy glaring at the monster when her husband spoke.

Only then did Tilly raise her head.

[And there he is.]

It was indeed the Sun God in his ’human’ form.

[He’s in his human form, but his divine power is overflowing to the point that even normal people could tell what he is.]

“The Devil was never a god, and you should be ashamed for worshipping such a vile creature,” the Sun God said indifferently while looking down at Father Crades with cold eyes. “Acton Crades, you shall be punished for your crimes.”

“Crimes?! I did no such thing!”

[This bastard…!]

Tilly knew that she couldn’t change the past, but she still felt so enraged that she almost ran towards the monster.

But Kiho gently pulled her and hugged her from behind.

It looked sweet (and it was), but she could also tell that her husband did that to keep her in place because he didn’t want her to run towards danger.

And, perhaps…

[Maybe Kiho needs to hold me to keep himself sane.]

Tilly relaxed and leaned against Kiho’s solid body.

“I don’t think I need to remind you of the unspeakable crimes you committed against the Moon Priestess and her children,” the Sun God said coldly. “For that, I gain the authority to take your life, Human Son of the Devil!”

What?

To say that Tilly was shocked to find out that that damned priest was the ’human’ son of the Devil was shocking.

Even Kiho stiffened behind her.

But before the two of them could even grasp what was happening, the scenario changed again.

This time, the ’scenario’ didn’t continue from the last thing they saw.

***

TILLY felt chills all over her body as soon as they arrived at the next scenario.

They were only watching the past unfold, so they shouldn’t be affected by their surroundings.

Even so…

“It’s cold,” Tilly whispered, rubbing her arms. “Kiho, your father is really… strong.”

Kiho silently took off his jacket and draped it over Tilly’s shoulders. “That, he is.”

[If Kyro was in his original body when we were fighting him, I don’t think we’d last…]

No, she shouldn’t be cowering.

[Kyro is strong even now, but we have to do everything to bring him down.]

“Why are you blocking my way?” Kyro asked the Sun God in a cold, emotionless voice. “I need to see my wife and daughter.”

Oh.

Tilly could sense the fear and anguish in Kyro’s voice.

[He knows… he already knows what happened to Yumi and their baby…]

To be honest, she wanted to see what happened to Kyro’s fight with the Devil.

However, this scenario might also answer some of her questions.

“You can’t see the Moon Priestess right now,” the Sun God said firmly. “You have to calm down first, Kyro.”

“I am calm.”

“You know you’re not.”

“Get out of my way.”

“I said you need to—”

“Get out of my way!” Kyro yelled— a large amount of Mana exploding from his body. “I need to see my wife!”

Ah.

Tilly didn’t expect to witness a heartbreaking scenario next.

So now, aside from having a happy life with Kiho and their son, she has a new goal: to burn down the b*tches who want to ruin her family again. *** [EXCERPT] *** [‘Why am I so horny tonight?’] Tilly thought to herself while sucking the crab leg suggestively. And then, she noticed that Captain Kiho gulped while staring at her mouth. [‘Ah, I’m not the only who’s hot and bothered here.’] She didn’t know if it was the alcohol in her system or her desperation to have a child… … but she suddenly felt like flirting with him. They were bound to get married and have a child together anyway. “Captain,” said Tilly as soon as she pulled the crab leg out of her mouth. “I can clearly see that we’re both attracted to each other. Shall we spend the night together?” Kiho remained pokerfaced but she saw panic cross his now glowing yellowish eyes. Ah, the captain was flustered. “My lady, you seem to be really drunk.” She walked towards him and when he didn’t move an inch, she stood in front of him and looked up at him with a grin. “Captain, are you the type of man who will only sleep with his betrothed?” “That seems to be the case, my lady.” He said that as if he was forcing the words out of his mouth. Plus, she could see in his eyes that he was conflicted– that it was hard for him to reject her. [‘Aw, I didn’t know that I have this kind of effect on my ex-husband.’] Or perhaps she just didn’t pay attention in the past. “Captain, I have a solution to your problem,” said Tilly in a playful voice. Then, she stood on her toes and whispered in Kiho’s ear. “Let’s get married.”
