“Wow, you bastard.”
“Want to really taste the disciplinary cane?”
At Serios’s words, Beramund pretended to shudder, going “Ooh, scary.” Serios chuckled and tapped the armrest with his fingers before asking:
“How’s Awen?”
“He’s doing well. Gotten a bit too healthy, actually. He’s more like a mountain boy than a prince now.”
Beramund crossed his arms and muttered seriously:
“Sigrid has a free-range style of raising, you know. He’s thriving like a wild horse.”
“I’m not sure if I should be relieved or worried.”
“You can be relieved.”
“Then, I’ll be relieved.”
Serios smiled, then asked with a serious expression:
“But is it true that Masters can go all day?”

At the same time, Sigrid tilted her head at the same question:
“Well—”
“We do it multiple times, but I don’t have anyone else to compare with……”
“Multiple times?”
Marie-Chez’s eyes sparkled. Erial’s face was also full of interest. Sigrid nodded, blushing.
“How many times?”
“Well—”
Sigrid held up both hands, showing a number, and Erial said “Good heavens” as she slumped back on the sofa.
“Maybe I should have married a Master too.”
“No, before that, wouldn’t you get tired after that much? It seems like Siri is able to keep up because she’s a Master too.”
Sigrid waved her hands, saying:
“L-let’s stop this conversation now.”
Laduree asked with a sly smile:
“Just one last thing. How is it? Does he treat you well?”
Sigrid nodded. Very deeply.
Everyone burst into laughter again with a “Kyaa.” Lowengrin said:
“I should get married soon too. Seeing Sigrid makes me want to do it quickly. I was thinking of having a longer engagement period.”
“If you’re going to do it, it’s better to do it quickly. Viscount Illisaine has waited long enough too.”
At Erial’s words, Lowengrin nodded.
“Yes, I should.”
“Ah, it’s lonely being the only one without a partner. I wonder if a nice prince will appear somewhere.”
Marie-Chez sighed deeply. Lowengrin asked:
“What about that person you were dating before?”
“Hmm, no. He wasn’t that great.”
She waved her hand dismissively. Laduree said:
“Why don’t you look closer to home? Sometimes the light under the lamp is the darkest, you know?”
“Close to home?”
“Yes. Like Lord Deforest, or Lord Deforest.”
“Ah, those two are a bit too close, I think.”
As Marie-Chez shook her head, Erial tilted her head and said:
“Wouldn’t Lord Morris Deforest be alright? He’s diligent, has a title, and his stipend isn’t bad.”
“But he used to like Siri. That’s weird.”
At those words, the women nodded.
“That’s true.”
After chatting a bit more, Sigrid stood up. Lowengrin gave her a light kiss on the cheek and said:
“It was nice to see you. Come up often. Don’t leave the mansion empty for too long.”
“Alright.”
“That’s right. It’s a shame to leave that big mansion in the capital empty.”
Marie-Chez nodded. Sigrid smiled and said:
“When the territory is doing better, I’ll come more often then.”
“Okay.”
After exchanging reluctant goodbyes, Sigrid quickly walked to the palace entrance. Beramund was waiting and raised his hand.
“Siri, did your talk go well?”
“Yes.”
Sigrid answered and quickly came to take Beramund’s hand. Since getting married, she had been speaking informally in private settings.
Beramund bent down and kissed her lightly.
“Are you not upset?”
Sigrid tilted her head at his question.
“About what?”
“About quitting your position as Vice-Captain.”
“It’s fine. Even if I quit that, I’m still a knight. But what about you, Beramund……? You didn’t need to quit your Captain position.”
“No. I want to spend more time with you too.”
At his words, Sigrid grinned and stood close to him.
Without a carriage, they walked leisurely to the mansion, chatting. Arkana couldn’t come up with them as he was managing territory affairs, but Seria came instead.
“I’ve prepared dinner.”
“Thank you, Seria.”
“It’s nothing. By the way, can I go out tomorrow?”
“Go out?”
“Yes. I want to buy a cookbook and meet Sam. This time, I’m really going to throw that book at that stubborn man’s head!”
Seria raised her voice, crossing her arms.
The existing chef at the Conwills territory lord’s mansion was unexpectedly young—in his mid-twenties—but said he had been holding a knife since he was six.
The stubborn chef insisted on traditional cooking methods, while Seria loved new cooking styles she brought from the capital. Naturally, there were bound to be differences in opinion between the two.
‘I think they’re both delicious though.’
Sigrid thought this and nodded.
“Alright, I’ll assign you an escort. You can take the whole day off tomorrow.”
“Thank you!”
Seria bowed with a bright smile and went inside. Beramund said:
“There’ll be another heated debate when we return.”
“They’re both good cooks though.”
“Methods are important, but doesn’t it smell delicious?”
“It does. Dinner will be tasty. And for dessert, eating me—”
Beramund burst out laughing at Sigrid’s words and asked:
“Where did you learn that from?”
“All from my beloved husband, of course.”
“Ah, I see.”
Beramund lightly licked Sigrid’s lips and said:
“I want to eat dessert first, but then I won’t be able to eat dinner.”
“So let’s eat first.”
“Let’s do that.”
Agreeing, Beramund gently pushed Sigrid into the dining room while surreptitiously touching her bottom. Sigrid laughed and smacked the back of his hand.
The dessert after dinner was, of course, excellent.

“Beramund!”
Awen came running and clung to Beramund. Beramund lifted him up.
“You’ve gotten heavier in this short time, Your Highness.”
“Really?”
“Yes. You must have been practicing hard.”
“I did. You have to spar with me later, okay?”
“Certainly.”
Beramund laughed and put him down. Awen went to Sigrid and held her hand tightly.
“How was it?”
“It was the same. Alkerto was disappointed you didn’t come.”
“Yeah, but…….”
He didn’t want to go up. Sigrid nodded.
“Alkerto said he’ll come visit next time.”
“Really?”
“Yes, really.”
“Wow—!”
Awen jumped up and down and then ran inside.
“He’s so energetic.”
At Beramund’s words, Sigrid chuckled. Rivans welcomed the couple as always. Only after hearing Arkana’s report and confirming that nothing unusual had happened could Sigrid relax. Arkana asked:
“I saw Seria return with a lot of luggage?”
“Ah, I think she bought books, cooking utensils, and imported spices.”
“She’ll have another round with Raymon then.”
At Arkana’s words, Sigrid grinned.
“That’s how you develop, by fighting.”
“Only until they ask you which food tastes better.”
“Did that happen?”
“They don’t come to you.”
Arkana said with a smile. Beramund nodded. Sigrid’s face fell as she said:
“But I’ve gotten much better than before. They say my palate has become more refined.”
“But it seems not enough to influence the chefs yet.”
At Beramund’s words, Sigrid frowned for a moment, then nodded.
“Well, thanks to that, I can avoid that commotion. Come to think of it, this is better.”
At Sigrid’s words, the two men exchanged glances and sighed lightly.
“That’s right.”
“It’s better this way.”
Is that all? Sigrid giggled.
Arkana said:
“By the way, about what we talked about before.”
“The magic defense system?”
Sigrid asked with a serious face. Beramund also tilted his head. Arkana nodded and said:
“I’ve thought of a few ideas, but I’m not good with military matters, so take a look.”
Arkana pointed at the desk as he said this. A file of documents could be seen. Sigrid nodded.
“Alright. I’ll review it and let you know.”
“Good. Magicians are coming out of the Ice Tower, so magic will become more common. It’s better to prepare in advance.”
At Arkana’s words, Beramund nodded. He too had heard news of some magicians appearing here and there across the continent.
Arkana stood up.
“Well, I’ll be going now. You must be tired, I’ve kept you too long.”
“It’s fine.”
“Shall I send up a late-night snack?”
“That would be nice.”
At Sigrid’s words, Arkana grinned and said “Then,” before saying goodbye and leaving the room. Beramund rested his chin on his hand and said:
“Magic……. More and more unknowns are coming in. What role it will play in war…….”
“I heard there are no wide-range attack spells. So it should be alright, shouldn’t it?”
“There’s no law saying they won’t be developed, and even without such attack spells— like the teleportation Arkana did before, they could send assassins inside the castle walls, right? The methods are diversifying.”
“True. Once they’ve discovered something convenient, they’re bound to use it as a weapon…….”
Sigrid agreed.
Beramund approached Sigrid, who was sitting in the chair, brushed aside her hair, and kissed her nape. Sigrid turned her head, giggling as if ticklish, and asked:
“By the way, Beramund.”
“Hmm—?”
“Is it……. okay about children?”
Beramund stopped kissing at those words.
“It’s fine. We’re still young. Besides, I want to enjoy our newlywed life a bit more.”
Moreover, territory affairs aren’t stable yet, so Sigrid is busy too. It will probably take another two or three years.
Sigrid gestured for him to come to her front, so Beramund knelt in front of her, meeting her eye level.
“What is it?”
Sigrid cupped his cheeks and said:
“I’ll give you five children later.”
“What?”
“Thank you for waiting.”
“No, it’s fine even if it’s not that many. Besides, it’s not like I’m losing out. I’m enjoying our newlywed life at a leisurely pace too.”
“No. I promise.”
“No, don’t. Five is too many.”
Beramund said in a serious voice mixed with laughter. Sigrid tilted her head and asked:
“Really?”
“Yes.”
“Okay.”
Sigrid nodded, and Beramund inwardly sighed with relief.
Knock knock.
With a light knock, a servant announced that the late-night snack had arrived.
“Come in.”
The servant entered carrying a tray. Not at all flustered by the intimate scene of the Master and Mistress, the servant placed the tray on the table, bowed politely, and left.
The sight of the two of them together had become familiar from seeing it so often.
“Let’s eat and then sleep.”
Beramund said as he stood up. Sigrid got up and jumped into Beramund’s arms.
