Kyle avoided another burst of spikes, while Sven did the same.

“How long does the Colossus need?” Kyle asked.

Sven gritted his teeth.

“Several seconds, at least,” a female voice answered. “We need to draw its attention! Skyler is not strong enough to withstand its attack!”

“You named that thing Skyler?” Kyle asked as he canceled another array of spikes.

“Shut up!” Sven answered.

BOOOOOOM!

Kyle suddenly hit the wall with the flat side of his hammer, shaking the entire cave.

A huge part of the walls exploded off, scattering stone everywhere.

“Come here, you fucking ugly piece of shit!” Kyle shouted with all of his power, striking the wall again.

The next moment, he jumped out of the hole he had made.

BANG!

The walls collapsed inward with a ton of force.

Through Kyle’s feet, his instincts spread through the walls, and he could feel the mysterious force inside the walls of the holes.

He jumped forward again and struck the walls.

BOOOOM!

The walls exploded, and Kyle felt the force rapidly moving away.

“Good!” Theodor said. “The closer its Spirit is to the matter it uses to attack, the stronger its attack will be. However, that also opens itself to an attack!”

“Explain more! Don’t just stop there!” Kyle shouted.

“What now?!” Sven asked.

“Not you!” Kyle shouted back. “The voice in my head!”

“You idiot!” Theodor shouted.

“Shut the fuck up!”

Kyle evaded to the side.

“We can’t afford secrets right now!” Kyle added.

“What is going on?!” Sven asked as he also jumped to the side.

“I got an all-knowing voice in my head! I’m asking it for advice!” Kyle shouted.

Kyle could feel Theodor’s anger.

Nevertheless, Theodor knew that they had to survive the current situation first.

“Possession!” Theodor said. “It makes earth its body! When it possesses the earth, it can unleash its true power, and Soul Cancel doesn’t work anymore. You can’t cancel someone’s actual body!”

“However, injuries to the body reflect on the Spirit! Attack its body, and you will damage the Spirit!”

“Okay,” Kyle answered, dealing with more attacks. “Sven, Selene, whatever, you have to attack the possessed part!”

“I could’ve also told you that!” Sven answered with annoyance. “But I can’t sense its body!”

“No ore sense?” Kyle asked.

“It’s not an ore!” Sven shot back.

While they were talking, Kyle kept track of the Earth Elemental.

He couldn’t see it.

He only felt some kind of danger moving across the floor. Kyle felt the force moving towards him, and he immediately struck the ground with his hammer.

BOOOOOM!

The force was pushed back, but not before launching an attack.

Three spikes shot out of the ground and impaled Kyle.

Luckily, the Possession was only momentary, and Kyle managed to tear himself off the spikes before they could infuse him with foreign Ether.

“That only works once!” Theodor answered. “You got it by surprise!”

“I know!” Kyle shouted. “Selene, it’s coming to you!”

Sven readied another arrow before jumping upward.

An instant later, more spikes shot out of the ground below him.

BANG!

Sven launched a Spike of his own, and one of the earth spikes cracked but wasn’t destroyed.

When the Earth Elemental possessed a bit of Earth, it became as strong as its true level.

This meant Sven had just attacked a Peak Ferocious Beast with his arrow, and that arrow was simply not strong enough to cause a lot of damage.

The spikes continued traveling to Sven.

Yet, the next moment, Sven just pointed one of his fingers at the spikes.

“Soul Cancel doesn’t-“

BOOOOOM!

Kyle stopped himself as he saw a laser of fire launching at one of the spikes, breaking it.

‘That was a Spell!’ Kyle thought.

The next moment, he could feel the force rapidly leaving the remaining spikes.

It was almost like it was scared.

The remaining spikes stopped growing, and Sven could evade.

Then, for almost an entire second, the force didn’t show itself again.

It almost seemed like it had fled.

But then, the entire cave started to shake, and the ceiling started to crack.

“It wants to bury us!” Sven shouted in horror.

Kyle immediately ran towards Sven as the entire cave shook.

The rocks of the ceiling gave way, and the entire ceiling collapsed.

There was no way to avoid the falling rocks.

Kyle jumped over Sven and pushed him below his body.

“I body, you Soul!” Kyle quickly shouted.

For just a moment, Sven was confused, but he quickly understood what Kyle meant.

The stones collapsed onto Kyle, who protected Sven below him.

A cave-in was deadly for normal people, but Kyle was strong enough that he could resist the weight of the stones.

He didn’t need to carry the entire cave on his body. He just needed to be one of the stones.

One single brick didn’t carry the entire weight of the house.

Nevertheless, when the stones hit Kyle’s body, he still received several injuries.

While the stones were falling on him, he felt the force again.

It sent some Ether to one of the stones beside Kyle.

But then, the Ether was extinguished as Sven isolated their space with his own Soul.

He had created a Domain of Soul.

No other will could control anything in that domain.

However, Sven’s Ether was rapidly dwindling.

He essentially needed to impose his will on all the stones in the environment at once.

Of course, Kyle’s Ether was also dwindling.

While the cave was still collapsing, the weight of the stones was distributed unevenly.

It was like the stone on his back was pushing with different magnitudes of force every second.

Sometimes, it was easy to resist, while other times, it almost crushed him.

That was when Kyle noticed the force approaching again.

Due to the cave-in, both of them were surrounded by stones.

They couldn’t launch any attacks.

Yet, just before the force reached them, it suddenly shot into the distance.

An instant later, it vanished.

“Skyler got its heart,” Sven answered as he looked at Kyle above him.

“Ouch, ouch, ouch,” Kyle said as his body shook under the continued weight of the collapsing stones.

After several seconds, the cave-in slowly calmed down, but Kyle felt like a mountain was lying on his back.

As the rumbling of the stones stopped, silence returned.

“So, what now?” Kyle asked, his arms shaking from all the weight.

Sven looked at Kyle with narrowed eyes.
