Luna’s voice now had a hopeful undertone, and Arit just eyed her curiously as she considered this once more. Arit thought about asking the Queen for her opinion, but decided against taking any suggestion from the Queen since the Queen was not focused on anything but the possibility of Luna stealing Mark from them.

Arit still didn’t know what to think about sharing Mark, but for some reason, she didn’t completely hate the idea of having Luna with them. In fact, it felt nice. Almost like having that sister she always wanted.

DOON!!

Suddenly, before Arit could give voice to anything else, a massive pressure pressed down on both women as the entire clearing started to vibrate. Luna immediately stood up as she felt the unmistakable aura of an anima. Arit also stood up, and both of them glanced around curiously as they waited for the enemy to show itself.

They both expected the ground to crack open and reveal another anima just like before, but instead, they were shocked when a magic circle appeared a few meters away from them, and a large gorilla-based anima rose out from it like a phantom. The gorilla was black and ugly, and it was crouched over with long arms that held up its muscular body.

And on top of its head, Sasha Palmer glared down at the two women like she was looking at ants.

“There you are, ice bitch. I’ve been looking for you.”

Phwoom!

Luna’s aura immediately surged to life as she saw Sasha, and the entire area grew almost fifty degrees colder! When Arit breathed out, she was stunned to see her breath come out as white fog.

‘She was holding back against me.’

The feat of extreme power showed Arit that Luna was a lot stronger than she thought. It was obvious that Luna had been holding back in the fight they just had.

Arit did not recognize Sasha, and she wondered what could have made Luna react so strongly. Did the two of them have some sort of beef that Arit didn’t know about?

Luna noticed Arit’s confusion and kept her eyes on Sasha while talking to Arit.

“This woman’s blessing is an ALTERWORLD she can transport anything to. I’m more than ninety percent sure she’s the one that took Mark.”

Arit’s eyes immediately changed to yellow as she joined Luna in glaring at Sasha. The QUEEN surged to life as Arit’s appearance changed, and the dangerous look she gave Sasha would have been enough to freeze ice itself.

“Where the fuck did you take my KING?”

[THE ALTERWORLD]

Mark opened his eyes to a desolate landscape of molten lava and cracked terrain. He was standing on top of a mountain that had some molten lava pouring out from the side, and even though the area was exceptionally hot, it didn’t cause Mark any major discomfort due to how high his Constitution was.

Mark perceived the unmistakable scent of fabric burning, and he looked down to see that he was standing in molten lava. His shoes and the bottom of his trousers were completely destroyed, and the flames were already rising up his legs. Mark just stepped out of the lava and used his hand to dust the flames off without really paying attention to it.

The flames weren’t hot enough to hurt him, so he didn’t need to worry about it.

Mark quickly equipped the [Gloves of the Thunder God] and [Armor of Ares] before he glanced around at the desolate landscape he had appeared in, immediately starting his search for Kevin.

‘No, not Kevin. Salazar. Somehow, that bastard took over Kevin’s body. But how, and why? Did he do it just to fuck with my head, or is this something he’s planned for a long time?’

Mark wasn’t going to delude himself into thinking that the person who brought him here was Kevin. It was definitely Salazar in Kevin’s body. The way Kevin acted, as well as the things he said, were too similar to the way Salazar did things. But how was Salazar able to take over Kevin’s body?

And where the fuck is that bastard?

Mark allowed his senses to spread out around him, and he activated [Achilles Heel] while glancing into the distance. There, standing on top of another mountain on the other side of the terrain, was Kevin. Kevin had a snakelike smile on his face and laughed loudly as he finally noticed Mark turning toward him.

“It’s great to finally stand in front of the KING in this manner. I’ve waited for this moment for more than a century! I am going to thoroughly enjoy this!”

Mark frowned and used [True Sight] on him.

Mark was shocked when he saw that practically all of Salazar’s stats as a superhuman had been transferred to Kevin. Even the ranking and potential were transferred. When Mark last checked Salazar’s stats, he saw in the description that Salazar had a large beast as a blessing, but he did not see the added information about rebirth.

‘Was it added because I leveled up the skill? But why would Loki give Salazar more than one blessing? Is that even allowed?’

‘And the system said he could be reborn. This is going to be a lot more troublesome than I thought it would be. I can’t be sure how to kill him if he can just respawn like some damn video game character after dying. And if he just respawns in a random body after death, then I’ll never know where he’s coming from. He could be anybody.’

Mark frowned as this thought passed through his mind and wondered what he was going to do about this issue. But then, Mark decided that it didn’t matter right now. Mark tightened his gloves as he started to walk forward. He didn’t care about what Salazar’s plans were or if Salazar had a blessing that would make him come back. He didn’t even care if there was more that Salazar had planned.

Right now, Mark just wanted to beat the shit out of him.

Mark slowly allowed the anger that he had been suppressing all this time to leak from every cell in his body. His aura began to intensify, and the ground under his feet cracked under the weight of it!

“You know, I hoped that you were alive. Even when they were cutting off your head like you were some sort of animal. I hoped to every god out there that you would somehow survive it, just so I could wrap my hands around that neck of yours and choke the life out of you myself. And now the gods have placed you before me just like I wanted. Who am I to refuse their generosity?

You sent assassins after my family, Salazar. Trust me, you are not going to enjoy this.”
