The Broken Halo Chapter 432

Chapter 432: Let’s Go Play

“She’s going to teach you how to fight like a proper brawler and not a swordsman.”

Simon’s eyes flickered with the light of understanding, then he nodded.

He had actually thought that because he had impressed Ormon in his battle with Blackblade, he was actually going to be taught the Broken Rhythm Art from the get go.

Ormon looked at Sonya who had a baffled expression behind her mask.

“Sonya. Your job now is to train him and mold him into a proper brawler. You guys are going to spar in a few minutes, then you’ll understand.”

Sonya looked up at Simon, then she looked at her master, then she looked back at Simon, then she looked back at her master.

“Why master? Why do you hate me so much?”

Ormon having expected this immediately rolled his eyes.

“Everytime me. Everytime me.”

She began to throw a tantrum.

“You always allow elder brother to do anything he wants and to go anywhere he wants. But you’re always sending me on errand all the time!”

“That’s how you told me to look for a fucking flower that grows at the peak of mountain that is always struck by lightning!”

“You hate me!”

“You say you love females, but am I not a female?! Why do you treat me like this?!”

“I call foul! I call fraud! You’re a fraud and a liar, master!”

“Give me back my freedom!”

Ormon scratched the back of his head and released a sigh as he looked at Sonya who was pointing a finger at him in anger.

Although she was furious, her voice and stature made everything look cute in his eyes.

Even Simon could not take her seriously.

“It’s because whenever you’re in the academy, you always cause so much damage and you make my pockets bleed. You’re too reckless and you need to learn to control your emotions.”

“You need to learn to be calm.”

Bang!

Crack

Sonya immediately stomped her right foot on the ground in anger, and the training ground trembled.

“I am calm! You just don’t believe in me!”

Ormon’s lips twitched repeatedly as he looked behind Sonya.

He covered his face with his palm, shook his head, then he released a frustrated sigh.

“Oh great warrior of the Rakshas, save me from financial ruin and not just death alone.”

“What?” Sonya asked with a growl.

Simon pointed behind her, and she turned.

The moment she saw the long and deep crack across the training ground, her expression changed.

She looked down at the sole of her right foot, and when she saw that the source of the crack was from her right foot, she scratched her head.

“Oops.”

“Oops my ass. Oops my fucking ass.” Ormon immediately responded with a scowl.

He pointed at the cracked training ground with anger in his eyes.

“That is why you’re not “free”. Because you don’t know how to control your emotions.”

“How many buildings and structures have you destroyed in the academy and clan because you couldn’t control your emotions?”

Sonya looked down with her hands behind her back and her toe drawing a circle on the ground.

“But it’s not my fault, master. It-“

Ormon immediately cut her off.

“Then whose fault is it?”

Without giving Sonya the chance to respond, Ormon spoke.

“I don’t even want to know whose fault it is. You are going to fucking do as I say and teach him, do you understand me?!”

Sonya immediately nodded like a chicken pecking rice. All the tantrum and ’righteous’ anger she had evaporated into smoke.

Ormon clicked his tongue, then he pointed at the training ground.

“Fix that right now too.”

Sonya pointed at the deep and wide crack on the training ground, and Sonya immediately nodded.

She turned and faced the crack, and with a slight shift of her feet and a clap of her hands, the crack closed with abang!

Simon narrowed his eyes the moment he saw this, and his suspicion was already proven to be true.

’S grade earth affinity.’

This time around, the way he looked at Sonya changed.

This little kid was actually so talented and dangerous.

Sonya noticed his gaze and she looked at him with a scowl.

“I’ll fucking kill you.” She said softly.

Simon raised a brow, and Sonya smirked behind her mask.

However, her smirk disappeared when she was suddenly picked up from the ground by Ormon.

The ease at which Ormon picked her up made it seem like she was truly a child of no more than six years old.

“Did I say you should kill him? I said train him.” Ormon said with a cold tone and gaze.

Sonya immediately buckled under the weight of his gaze and nodded.

“Yes master. I understand.”

“Good.”

Ormon dropped her, but she was so stubborn that she still gave Simon a glare.

Unfortunately for her, she was wearing a mask so it accomplished nothing, and even if she wasn’t wearing a mask, it would still accomplish nothing.

Ormon shook his head with a tired expression.

He was beginning to have a headache with this child, and this was another reason why he always sent her on missions.

She was just too troublesome.

’I need breast milk.’

He took one last look at Sonya, then he looked at Simon.

When he recalled Simon’s fight with Blackblade, he was certain that Sonya would be in for a surprise.

“By the way, Sonya.”

“Hmm?” She looked at him.

“Even though he’s a Minor Fiend, he recently killed a Supreme Archfiend, and I’m sure you must have heard of him before.”

Sonya’s eyes widened in surprise and disbelief, then she looked at Simon from top to bottom.

“This little kitty killed a Supreme Archfiend? How? Did he cheat? And who the fuck did he kill?”

Simon’s left eye could not help but twitch.

’Little kitty?’

Ormon chuckled at Sonya calling Simon a little kitty.

“He killed Blackblade. Have you heard of him before?”

Sonya looked down for a few seconds, then she shook her head.

“Nope. And since he died to a little kitty, then he’s weak and pathetic.”

Ormon’s lips curled up into a smile of amusement.

“I wouldn’t be so sure about that. But anyway, go have fun. I’ll be busy.”

“Busy sucking some breasts and fucking some demonesses obviously.” Sonya mumbled softly underneath her breath.

“What did you just say brat?” Ormon’s cold voice instantly echoed in the training ground, and Sonya trembled.

“Nothing, master.”

Ormon clicked his tongue and walked out of the training ground, leaving behind Simon and Sonya.

Sonya looked at Simon from top to bottom, then she scoffed.

“Alright, little kitty. Let’s go play in the sandbox.”

‘How cliché. I’ve read countless novels where the Hero is betrayed by their companions… but was I wrong to trust those who fought beside me for nearly six decades?’ ----- Betrayal. A word many live in fear of. A word some never expect… until it happens. A word that completely shatters one’s view of life. Just like any other heroic tale, Simon was the Hero of Earth, the one who defeated the Demon King and was about to end the war between races with his companions. Yet, in the end, he was betrayed by his own companions for reasons he never understood. Instead of finding death, Simon found rebirth. To his horror, he reincarnated as the very race he had devoted his entire life to exterminating… a race he despised, feared, and was disgusted by. Reborn as a demon infant within one of the most impoverished demon tribes, Simon found himself at the very bottom of a world he once sought to destroy. Fortunately, he was not entirely abandoned. His unique Seven Star Blessing, bestowed by his patron God, followed him through reincarnation. Armed with this Blessing and the Demonic Magic of his new race, Simon now harbors an ambition greater than ever before… to rise higher than he ever did as the Hero of Earth. To become a God. But the path forward is far from simple. Betrayals from those he would never expect. Endless trials and tribulations. And the lingering question of identity… Should he cling to his past as a human hero, or embrace his nature as a demon to survive? Can Simon abandon his hatred and live among demons? Will he erase his past entirely and fully embrace his demonic nature? Will his thirst for revenge drag him deeper into darkness… Or will he rise above it? In the end… Will he be devoured… or will he devour all?
