The Villain Is Destined To Die But As The Creator I Know All Endings Chapter 323
It wasn’t that bad[ … words ]

A black framed carriage rolled past several civilians right through the busy streets of Shinra.
Everyone who stood there in one place was left awe struck, all of them realizing exactly who that carriage belonged to.
A black framed carriage, almost as dark as midnight itself, with white borders, and on each side a sigil of a half moon with several hands reaching toward it, moved at a speed none of them had seen in years.
It was, if someone dared to say it upfront, five whole years since they had last seen it.
The sigil of the Blood Tower.
And the carriage, which was a personal ride meant only for the Tower Head.
It passed District 02, and entered District 01, which was also called the Royal District of Shinra.
Leon, sitting inside the carriage right in front of Veronica, one hand resting on Moonblade and the other at his side, leaned against it as he glanced outside to look at all the people’s reactions.
None of the guards, or any knights, no matter their rank, had dared to stop the carriage.
It held an authority above that of any Royals in the entire world.
’Rumi, are you done yet?’
’Almost. Just give me another three minutes.’
She replied inside his head.
’Alright, hurry up. We are about to enter the Royal District.’
Avoiding all the astonished faces outside, Leon glanced at Veronica sitting before him.
Legs crossed and both arms folded, she was wearing a tight t-shirt, black leather pants, and a long leather jacket over it.
She was not holding any weapon in her hands. Not like she would ever need one.
Veronica had both her eyes closed, and was leaning slightly ahead, as if to make it look like she had been sleeping through the entire journey.
Leon narrowed his eyes and looked at her carefully, from head to toe.
Who could have told that this quiet looking girl was the strongest human in existence in this era?
’Clearly, any fool.’
Well, the way she was suppressing her mana was exceptionally good, to the point that even Leon had to admit it was praise worthy.
To ordinary people, if Veronica were to pass by them and they by any chance could not recognise her, they would just think of her as a common, weak human.
’…I wonder if she ever faked her status and went strolling around town.’
Leon shook his head at the thought.
’Nah, impossible. This girl is a bigger shut in than my senior developer, Tony.’
At least Tony had to visit the office every single day, while she just kept herself holed up inside her Tower.
’It is done.’
Rumi said, heaving a sigh of relief.
Leon looked around him, but he could not see or find any difference at all.
’Did you really finish it?’
He had to ask.
’Haru, it is Astral Matter. Of course your mana fused eyes would not be able to see it. And again, it was you who made me do it in the first place.’
’Right, right. I am just messing with you.’
’Then quit messing around and focus on the current mission. You are going to ruin it for everyone.’
’Hm… alright. Looks good.’
Once Leon checked everything, he turned to look at Veronica’s sleeping face.
“It is done, sister.”
He informed her, to which Veronica slowly opened her eyes and looked at her little brother.
Veronica looked around her.
“…Hm. Having a humanoid spirit from the second top reality is quite handy.”
She said it, directing toward Leon, but it was clearly meant for Rumi.
“You can make her come out. The barrier around my carriage is solid and not even I can see beyond it.”
’Come out, Rumi.’
He ordered her, and as he did, Rumi materialized into her human form, wearing a long flowing white dress, a tiara made of ice, and her hair tied up into a bun.
Leon was about to ask why she had dolled herself up this much.
But he decided not to.
“How have you been, Rumi?”
Veronica asked her, without changing her expression at all.
“I am good, Lady Veronica. It is my pleasure to be of your help again.”
Veronica nodded, and then her face shifted toward Leon.
And so did her expression, which became a bit sour.
Leon’s eye twitched at that.
He knew exactly why she was making that face.
After all, it was just fifty minutes ago that Leon had been acting real cocky toward her.
“Did I yap too much, sister?”
He asked her.
Veronica crossed her other leg to the opposite direction, and replied with her usual tone.
“Yap? If by yapping, you mean ’stay out of my way, sister,’ then I do not think so. It was necessary after all.”
Leon felt like she really did not like that particular statement.
’Come on. It was because of you that I had to act that way. And you act like it meant nothing to you, but I know that, deep down you want to hit me again.’
Leon kept those words inside his throat.
Thinking that, Leon asked her.
“But, you did great too, sister. Even Myra thought it was all real.”
In reality, the whole conversation with Veronica, from the moment she suddenly appeared in Leon’s room, to the way they had that argument, were all an act, and were devised by Leon himself.
Just like Leon had doubted earlier, King Aster would most probably have the backing of a Calamity. And hence why Silvermoon had warned Veronica not to meddle with the King directly, so as not to breach the Oath of Balance.
So, Veronica would have to act, and even think, that she was not trying to harm the King by any means.
She was just witnessing it. Not even helping Leon achieve it.
Leon had told her to come here today, and had even kept it hidden from Rumi herself.
It needed to be done. Because when it came to the King’s memory manipulation skill 「Lie Of Destiny」
While Charlotte’s plan worked, forcing the King to cast 「Lie of Destiny」again did indeed overwrite and successfully lift the original spell placed on Leon, but the old Leon did not simply get his memories back and return to normal.
The events he witnessed and the spell itself had caused an immense psychological trauma that deeply affected his mind and stunted his overall growth.
So, even after the mind manipulation spell was officially lifted, this severe trauma remained, which is why his mind stayed broken and he continued to act pathetic for years afterward.
Because his mind was so heavily traumatized, it is likely that those memories were deeply repressed or fragmented. Furthermore, when Haru transmigrated into Leon’s body, he did not inherit a complete set of the original Leon’s memories.
