The Villain Reborn As Games Final Boss Chapter 176

Punishment[ … words ]

[ … words ]

I had moved before anyone could react, my fist landing on Kevin’s guts with an intensity that the Frost couldn’t bear.

A second later, Kevin’s limp body landed on the ground with a thud.

Silence.

Not everyone was able to process the events.

“Kael!”

Elsa’s voice soon followed, as she looked at me with furious eyes.

“Calm down. I will take him to the headmaster immediately.”

Before Elsa could speak her thoughts, Zenur chimed in, his eyes focused on me, though I had noticed a small smirk on his face that had disappeared before anyone could notice—except me.

Maybe it was meant for me.

“Haa… Okay. I will leave it to you.”

Elsa might have wanted to scold me, but seeing that the students still needed to be treated in time, she chose to back down for the moment.

Though I knew that sooner or later, she was going to confront me.

“Let’s go.”

Nodding my head at Zenur’s words, I began to walk away from Kevin’s body that was sprawled below me.

I could see the varying emotions on the faces of Victoria and the rest, who had just been able to process what had transpired with their dear brother.

The students parted ways for us to leave.

On the way to the headmaster’s office, Zenur didn’t speak for a long time—nor did I.

But—

“You wanted me to punch him.”

My words were more of a statement than a question.

Zenur’s steps paused as he looked at me with his usual smile.

“I had sensed Elsa trying to stop me, but you acted before her as if you were going to intervene, making her stop in her tracks.”

Zenur still had his smile, the only difference being it had grown more amused than before.

“Why would Elsa stop even if I had decided to jump in between?”

“I wonder.”

My reply was short.

Zenur had perfectly pretended like he was about to help—only to stop at the last moment, as my punch landed on Kevin.

But the interesting part was Elsa withdrawing her intervention, seeing Zenur move.

’Sir Zenur.’

That was how she had addressed him.

“We are getting late.”

Without waiting for me, Zenur began to walk towards the headmaster’s office, which was still a few minutes away.

Haa…

Meeting the headmaster again was a troublesome thing.

None of my conversations with him ever ended in a good way.

Still… It wasn’t like I had a choice.

***

Knock… Knock

We were now before the headmaster’s office as the bald instructor knocked twice on the door.

For an elite academy, they sure were stingy to attach some doorbell.

“Come in.”

The headmaster’s usual warm voice invited us from within.

Nodding at me once, Zenur opened the door slowly as he stepped into the office.

I followed him, only to be greeted by the headmaster, who was standing beside the window, enjoying the view outside with a cup of coffee in his hands.

Or was it tea?

“Greetings, sir.”

Zenur bowed slightly as both of us stood a fair distance away, without sitting on the chairs before us.

I wanted to sit, but seeing Zenur stand, I chose to do the same.

It wasn’t like I could disrespect the headmaster before his employees.

“Zenur, what brings you here?”

The headmaster asked as he motioned for the two of us to take a seat on the chairs.

The headmaster himself sat on his chair, his hands on the desk, fingers interlocked just near his chin.

Without hesitation, I was the first one to move as I made myself comfortable on the luxury chair.

Zenur, seeing my sudden actions, was stunned at first before taking a seat beside me.

“Sir, there had been a brawl between the students, so I thought to consult you on the matter.”

Huh?

Zenur spoke with a seriousness that was unlike him.

His usual carefree smile wasn’t present, as his face showed utmost respect for the man sitting before him.

“Brawl?”

“Yes… Student Kael had an argument with some of his first-year classmates, and that led to a standoff between them. The student council’s disciplinary committee had tried to intervene, but student Kael… He neutralised them by cutting their—dominant arms.”

Zenur paused at the end as he looked at me before shifting his attention towards the headmaster again.

“And—”

Zenur coughed slightly.

Wasn’t he being dramatic?

“Student Kael had defeated the vice president of the student council in a similar way.”

Completing his report, Zenur slightly leaned back in his chair.

The headmaster listened to everything in silence, without showing any kind of reaction.

“So… are you here to decide his punishment?”

The headmaster asked, as if the matter at hand wasn’t worth the hype.

And to say the truth… it wasn’t.

I had indeed cut off their arms, but all of them were still alive.

“Yes, sir.”

Zenur replied as he bowed once again.

“Hm… Do you wish to say anything in defence?”

At the headmaster’s words, I tilted my head slightly before leaning back again.

“Nothing.”

Though the headmaster looked at me the same way, it was Zenur’s reaction that was priceless.

He might have been thinking of me as a fool—

Not defending myself.

I mean… why should I?

It wasn’t like the headmaster would kick me out of the academy.

“That settles it then. I will have to decide on some punishment, as what you have done is a crime of a serious level.”

The headmaster gave me a reality check, though the smile on his face had never vanished.

I lowered my head, thinking for a moment.

“Alright. You don’t have to worry about it. Just suspend me for some time.”

The words left my mouth as I tried my level best to appear normal.

But—

In the end, I couldn’t control my lips from stretching into an amused smile.

“Kael, it isn’t for you to—”

The headmaster raised his hand to stop Zenur, who thought that I was disrespecting his employer.

“How much time?”

“Like… some undecided time.”

Even I didn’t know how many days would be required for me to finish my work at D.X.

The headmaster observed me in silence, as he contemplated my words.

Still… there wasn’t much to think about. We had a deal—

“The suspension will be in effect from now on. You may go.”

That’s my boy.

Nodding my head at the headmaster’s words, I got up from my seat before heading towards the exit.

Though I gave the bald instructor a final glance, which Zenur reciprocated in kind.

Zenur…

Nemur…

Hm.

Interesting.

Synopsis

In his previous world, X was a feared and brilliant criminal. He led a massive criminal organization, possessed sharp strategic intelligence, and had enough power to challenge entire nations. Though ruthless, he lived by his own principles and morals. One day, after completing a fantasy war game in his free time he transmigrates into that very world. But not as the hero. He awakens in the body of Kael Frost, the game's final villain. In the original game, Kael was a noble born into the Frost Dukedom, which was the strongest after the royal family. He had no interest in training or holding his families legacy despite being the heir to the House Frost. He was a prime example of a spoiled noble brat. Seeing his constant failures and pathetic state, his family especially his father Castor Frost started to neglect him entirely. Discussions were held to appoint Kael's younger brother Kevin as the heir to the Dukedom. Enraged by his family's actions Kael began to behave in more pathetic ways as some sort of revenge. His relations with everyone started to deteriorate further and a public conflict during a grand banquet marked his complete breakdown from his household. Soon after, Kael disappeared from the society. A year later, driven by hatred and despair, he performed a forbidden ritual that granted him immense power in exchange for his emotions and sanity. The ritual succeeded, but turned him into a psychopathic mass murderer. Though powerful enough to nearly defeat the protagonist in the final arc, he ultimately lost due to his madness and the hero's many allies. That was how the game ended. This time, the transmigration happens after the ritual is completed. X inherits Kael's fully awakened powers while retaining his sanity, intelligence, and fragments of emotion from his previous life. With strength untouched by madness, he becomes far more dangerous than Kael ever was. 2 years later as admissions begin for the prestigious Namda Academy, the villain re-enters the world stage. Nobles are accepted automatically, while commoners must pass exams that test intellect, psychology, and potential. With knowledge of the game's future and the mind of a genius strategist, the final boss steps onto a new path.
