Elsa might have wanted to scold me, but seeing that the students still needed to be treated in time, she chose to back down for the moment.

Nodding my head at Zenur’s words, I began to walk away from Kevin’s body that was sprawled below me.

I could see the varying emotions on the faces of Victoria and the rest, who had just been able to process what had transpired with their dear brother.

On the way to the headmaster’s office, Zenur didn’t speak for a long time—nor did I.

My words were more of a statement than a question.

“I had sensed Elsa trying to stop me, but you acted before her as if you were going to intervene, making her stop in her tracks.”

Zenur still had his smile, the only difference being it had grown more amused than before.

“Why would Elsa stop even if I had decided to jump in between?”

My reply was short.

Zenur had perfectly pretended like he was about to help—only to stop at the last moment, as my punch landed on Kevin.

But the interesting part was Elsa withdrawing her intervention, seeing Zenur move.

That was how she had addressed him.

Without waiting for me, Zenur began to walk towards the headmaster’s office, which was still a few minutes away.

Zenur bowed slightly as both of us stood a fair distance away, without sitting on the chairs before us.

I wanted to sit, but seeing Zenur stand, I chose to do the same.

It wasn’t like I could disrespect the headmaster before his employees.

“Zenur, what brings you here?”

The headmaster asked as he motioned for the two of us to take a seat on the chairs.

The headmaster himself sat on his chair, his hands on the desk, fingers interlocked just near his chin.

Without hesitation, I was the first one to move as I made myself comfortable on the luxury chair.

Zenur, seeing my sudden actions, was stunned at first before taking a seat beside me.

“Sir, there had been a brawl between the students, so I thought to consult you on the matter.”

Zenur spoke with a seriousness that was unlike him.

His usual carefree smile wasn’t present, as his face showed utmost respect for the man sitting before him.

“Brawl?”

“Yes… Student Kael had an argument with some of his first-year classmates, and that led to a standoff between them. The student council’s disciplinary committee had tried to intervene, but student Kael… He neutralised them by cutting their—dominant arms.”

Zenur paused at the end as he looked at me before shifting his attention towards the headmaster again.

“And—”

Zenur coughed slightly.

Wasn’t he being dramatic?

“Student Kael had defeated the vice president of the student council in a similar way.”

Completing his report, Zenur slightly leaned back in his chair.

The headmaster listened to everything in silence, without showing any kind of reaction.

“So… are you here to decide his punishment?”

The headmaster asked, as if the matter at hand wasn’t worth the hype.

And to say the truth… it wasn’t.

I had indeed cut off their arms, but all of them were still alive.

“Yes, sir.”

Zenur replied as he bowed once again.

“Hm… Do you wish to say anything in defence?”

At the headmaster’s words, I tilted my head slightly before leaning back again.

“Nothing.”

Though the headmaster looked at me the same way, it was Zenur’s reaction that was priceless.

He might have been thinking of me as a fool—

Not defending myself.

I mean… why should I?

It wasn’t like the headmaster would kick me out of the academy.

“That settles it then. I will have to decide on some punishment, as what you have done is a crime of a serious level.”

The headmaster gave me a reality check, though the smile on his face had never vanished.

The words left my mouth as I tried my level best to appear normal.

The headmaster raised his hand to stop Zenur, who thought that I was disrespecting his employer.
