What Do You Mean I’m The Captain Of A Yandere Mercenary Company? Chapter 1015
Chapter 1015: Dumping My Secrets On The Bunnygirl
One very sad thing… Patricia did not have any other cooking appliances aside from that autocooker which made it impossible for me to cook.
So I decided not to cook and let Patricia concentrate on packing while we told her everything she needed to know about us.
I had originally wanted to keep the fact that I was from another universe a secret from her but since she intended to be a permanent part of our crew, I decided to just tell her about it anyway.
And yes, I also let my girls tell her about themselves, including Renata who revealed that she was basically an eldritch entity.
Well… Even though I said that we’re letting her concentrate on packing… It really was just the drones doing the work while she listened to us at the side.
She was quiet throughout the whole talk though she seemed to get pretty excited when she was hearing my part of the story, especially when I told her that I was from another universe.
I was expecting her to question me about the other universe thing and maybe even claim that I was lying or something but when I was done explaining everything, her response was to let out a cute squeal and hug my waist while looking up at me with sparkly eyes.
“Wowwwww!! So you’re from another universe?! This is just like the plot from Across The Stars: Finding A Way Back Home! That game was phenomenal when it came out! Are you sure you’re not from that universe? No wait… You said Earth so you’re not from there… But that’s so cool!”
I guess the fact that she has played such games with all kinds of stories made her more receptive to things like this…
I would know since I’m one of them as well.
I cleared my throat, “Ahem… Like I mentioned though, I did wake up in this universe after playing a game that has… Rather similar settings to this universe. So I’m more inclined to believe that this might be the game’s universe instead.”
Patricia doesn’t seem too bothered by the potential prospect of her being just a simple program inside a simulated universe. In fact, she looked more excited by it.
“Oooohh! That’s true! Maybe I’m just a program running inside the machine! I wonder what will happen after I die? Do I get recompiled to a new data state or do I just get stored away in the memory? This is so interesting!”
I… Don’t really know what she’s talking about but Ries seemed to be looking at her like she had just found herself a buddy so I won’t ruin the moment at least.
On that note… There was a more important question I needed answer to…
“I’m surprised you’re not saying anything about the Psionic part,” I pointed out.
She jerked a little, as though remembering that was one of the main things that needed to be addressed.
My girls were scattered around the room, all of them watching her closely as though prepared to pounce on her if she tried to do anything weird.
Unexpectedly, Patricia clasped her hands together, “Ah! I think that’s really cool too! Psionics are so cool!”
I blinked at her, “You’re… Not worried?”
“Eh? Umm… If… If Tera… If Tera was a Noble… I would probably be worried… But umm… Are you?”
I shook my head, “No, I am not a Noble. Like I said… Apparently because I came from another universe, I’m a pure human which allowed me to awaken these Psionic powers since it’s apparently a racial trait amongst humans.”
She let out a sigh of relief, “Huuu… Then if Tera is not a Noble, there’s no need for me to worry right? You’re just Tera with really cool powers!”
Her enthusiasm was quite contagious as even I couldn’t help but smile at her and gave her a headpat for that.
She preened at the pat and even wiggled her hips in response to my headpatting.
So cute~
Ahem…
I retracted my hand from her and cleared my throat, “Ahem… Anyway, I guess after hearing all of that… You have no problem coming on board and joining my crew?”
She started bouncing on the balls of her feet excitedly, “Yes! Yes, yes! Hearing about everything made me even more determined to join your crew, Tera! Please let me join it! I will be very useful to have around!”
I cleared my throat, “I don’t mind of course… And I believe my crewmates are also quite accepting of you since you don’t seem to mind the fact that we… Well… Have three Psionics and even an eldritch entity as part of the team. I think you will fit in quite well.”
She turned to look at the rest of my girls and, as though just remembering that we were not alone, she suddenly shuddered and shrunk back, acting all shy again.
“A… Ah… Umm… I… I think… Everyone is… Interesting… And nice… So… I… I think it will be fine… For me…”
She then poked her fingers and hesitated for a moment before looking up at me, “Umm… So… You’re… Going to Xetarva to… Hunt the bugs… With the Reapers, right?”
I nodded, “Yeah. So I guess we should all talk about that right? Come up with a plan or something?”
Patricia looked at all of my girls again before settling her gaze back on me, “Umm… Are you… Going to show them that… You have Psionics?”
“Mmm… Like you heard, that will be a last resort instead. We’ll just do things normally and with conventional weaponry first. They are the ones meant to do the heavy lifting after all. If they fail…”
Vier cleared her throat, “If they fail and require our direct intervention to bail them out, part of the clause states that they will have to hand over all the rewards they get from the nest. I suspect that they might attempt to fail intentionally anyway just to see what we might do if we don’t show them a good enough show, so my suggestion is to at least give them something to see during the expedition that will at least satisfy them somewhat.”
Basically… We have to be just a little serious but not too serious.
Patricia did not look too convinced, “I understand that but… I’ve seen the videos of the bug nest exterminations. They look really brutal… What will you be doing differently from everyone else that can guarantee success? At least… Without using your Psionic powers?”
I grinned, “Well… We have several other ways to deal with the bugs of course! One of them is Freyja!”
She blinked at me, “Freyja? Is that the name of a weapon?”
I shook my head, “No, no… Ah! I didn’t introduce you to her since she’s not here. But Freyja is the last member of our team that isn’t here right now.”
She perked up, “Oh! What is she like? Is she friendly?”
“Yes! She is very friendly! Look, look!”
I took out my Codex and projected a screen in front of me to show her a picture of Freyja. Specifically it was a picture of Freyja sitting down and looking straight at the camera since I was trying to take a picture of her.
She was such a good girl and stayed still for me to take the picture~
“Isn’t she cute?” I asked, cooing at the picture of my dog. “She’s such a good girl~ We’ll bring her along with us to hunt the bugs and I think the Reapers should see her and be fine with it~ And if she’s not enough, not to toot our own horns but I think all of us have enough skills and firepower to be able to show off there. There shouldn’t be a reason for those guys to think we wouldn’t be able to get through the bugs at least.”

I was still admiring the picture on the screen until I realised that Patricia had not said anything after I showed her the picture, prompting me to turn back to look at the bunnygirl.
There she was, staring at the screen in front of her with wide eyes, her ears laid flat on the top of her head and her body completely tensed up and frozen.
I blinked, “Err… Patricia?”
As though that was the trigger, her eyes rolled to the back of her head and fell backwards towards the floor.
She would have hit the ground if I didn’t manage to catch her in time, cradling her back with my arm to hold her up before she collapsed.
“E… Eh?! Patricia?! What happened?! Are you alright?!” I cried out, shaking her lightly.
Amber cleared her throat, “Tera… Please… You just showed a monster… Ahem… A dog… To that poor girl that would jump at the sight of a group of Mercs… What did you think would happen?”
But… But… Freyja’s so cute though!!
