Yandere Instruction Manual My Wife Is World Ending Calamity Chapter 88
Is talking about my death her love language?[ … words ]
[ … words ]
I made my way back toward the first-year classroom complex, my thoughts still wandering on the bizarre encounter I just had.
At first, I did plan to teach Ivan and his little gang a lesson right then and there but after seeing the reactions of his followers, I got a completely different idea.
Because there was definitely something suspicious about them.
Two giants, of all people, willingly following a Dragonian? Yeah, something didn’t add up. Not to mention their expressions and body language didn’t seem like subordinates.
And I already had a pretty good guess as to why it was that way. A smile slowly appeared onto my face as I thought about tomorrow’s duel.
If everything went according to plan, I wouldn’t just win, I could even eliminate one of the biggest headaches waiting for me during my time at the academy.
Lost in my thoughts, I eventually arrived back at the classroom complex.
I pulled out a folded list from my storage ring and looked over the names of electives written on it that I was interested in attending.
Most of them had already been crossed off as I had already spent the last few days checking them out one by one.
And now, only two of them remain unmarked.
After looking around for a moment, I found the path toward the classroom where one of them was taught and followed the corridor until I stopped before a wooden door.
A rich mouthwatering aroma drifted through the gap beneath it as I could feel the slightly warm temperature around the door.
My stomach rumbled ever so slightly as I pushed the door open.
As soon as I pushed the door open, the attention of nearly every student in the classroom shifted toward me as I arrived a little late.
Even the professor was already there, looking at me with a curious gaze.
“Are you perhaps lost?”
The question came from a beautiful professor with pink hair, golden eyes, a petite frame and a pair of round spectacles resting neatly on face. Even the voice was so melodious that it could make the most disciplined man lose his focus.
But I wasn’t affected in the slightest.
Because I knew the truth behind that dangerously seductive appearance.
This damned professor… wasn’t a woman.
He was a man who looked almost indistinguishable from one.
In plain anime terms…
He was a trap.
Not that I cared because I was here to learn the elective he taught and nothing more. And honestly, he wasn’t important enough for me to care beyond that.
I looked at him with a pleasant smile.
“No, sir. I am not lost, I am actually here because I am interested in learning the elective you teach.”
“Do you even know what we teach here?” He tilted his head ever so slightly.
“Yes, sir. I do.” I continued in the same tone. “And as I said before, I am here because I want to learn how to cook.”
The professor studied me for a moment before nodding with a gentle smile.
“That’s wonderful. It’s rare enough to see one high noble interested in cooking but this year, I have somehow ended up with two.”
He gestured toward an empty workstation at the back of the classroom.
“You can take that one.”
I nodded and made my way over.
His surprise wasn’t unusual.
Nobles, by nature, were arrogant, entitled brats and high nobles were simply an even more spoiled breed of them.
And if there was one thing they possessed in abundance, it was uselessly refined taste and an overwhelming love for convenience.
Cooking by themselves was something they absolutely loathed.
There were, of course, a handful of nobles who genuinely enjoyed cooking, along with many commoners who hoped to build careers around it.
But among the high nobility, students willing to take this elective were almost nonexistent. It was even considered as humiliation according to them.
After all, there were plenty of other electives where they could earn the same credits without ever setting foot in a kitchen.
As for why I was interested in this particular elective, the answer was simple.
Why not?
Every student was required to choose at least two electives from the hundreds the academy offered and each one awarded credits that contributed toward your overall end of the year grading.
In my previous life, I had chosen nothing but combat-related electives. Not one or two either but the whole seven.
I desperately chased strength, convinced that I could catch up if I simply worked harder but in the end, I failed most of them miserably and became a laughingstock in the rest.
Not to mention all the pointless physical exhaustion they brought with them.
But more importantly, I didn’t think for a second that there was a single person in the entire First Ring of the Great Sea who could still teach me anything meaningful about combat.
I already possessed more than enough knowledge.
The last thing I needed was to cloud it again with the techniques of these backwater continents.
So, I wanted this life to be different.
I wanted it to be enjoyable and experience the things I never had the chance to before and cooking was one of them.
A faint smile found its way onto my face.
I still remembered eating the dishes Lily had made for me.
Most of them were burned enough for even charcoal to sue them for defamation. She somehow managed to be both overcooked and undercooked at the same time.
And for all the incredible talents Lily possessed, cooking certainly wasn’t one of them but even so, she kept trying again and again just for my sake.
But unfortunately, talent simply wasn’t on her side.
So this time, I decided to take matters into my own hands.
I was going to learn how to cook for the sake of both of us.
Lost in my thoughts, I eventually arrived at the workstation assigned to me and as I settled in, I found myself wondering who the other high noble the professor mentioned was.
I mean, if they were truly a high noble, then they were almost certainly from the World Class.
The professor continued his introduction while my gaze wandered around the classroom in search of the high noble but surprisingly, I didn’t have to look for long.
Because I saw her on the very next workstation beside mine.
Ashen-white hair was tied neatly into a delicate ponytail as her golden eyes met mine, carrying that same strange blend of innocent curiosity and icy indifference.
Her lips parted slightly and then closed again as if she couldn’t decide whether she wanted to say something or not.
It was…
Hope Aeth Crownforge.
The Ghost Princess, my lovely second wife but more importantly—
What the hell was she doing in the Cooking elective?
I instinctively searched through the memories of my previous life and from everything I could remember, she had never once told me about taking this elective.
But then again, Hope had never been one to talk about things she considered unimportant and for all I knew, maybe this elective simply hadn’t been worth mentioning according to her.
Although, I did remember her trying to cook for me a few times but every single attempt had ended the same way, with the kitchen exploding after she flew into a fit of frustration.
I gave her a small wave.
“Hey, Hope. Fancy seeing you here.”
For a moment, she simply stared at me before her lips parted ever so slightly and she finally spoke.
“Have you… died before?”
